  • martin elk does not seem to be coming in on the take away before the belly roll,

1 question martin do you ues both hands on the backswing or right hand only, thanks

  • @heronpete

This was very early on in our work, look at Steve Elkington Range session video, you'll see a difference to this one.

I use both hands on the takeaway.

  • @martinez19696 martin thanks for your reply. bought your dvd, i am getting the backswing fine, but struggling withe the downswing

  • whatever they are doing might be great but its hard to follow what the fuck they are talking about, great at what they are doing no doubt but not great at teaching, IMO

  • This is overanalysis. Just hit the damn ball and get it close to the hole--and don't forget to make the putt, too!

  • What the fvck is he going on about?

  • I like to see this kind of detail in teaching but Elk...the people need a description of your full roll! I know you are doing it...not everyone will. Important. Esp. with all the slicers and flippers out there. (and shoot- confusion and bad golf in general)

Great video and great swings though. (both of you no doubt) What is going on at 6:30? Bounce it in?? What are you referring to?

  • What is he saying when he goes to "reverse impact"??? Half-something??

  • wankers wanking. elkington has chewed up and spit more teachers than anyone. then they go "booommm"

  • What a great swing thanks !

  • when he belly rolls, does his right hand curl up like a fist, or does it stay bent back. The practice motion looks like he may feel the fist, but when he makes the swing it appears to stay bent back.

  • what is Elk saying at 0.12?

    'half moon'?

  • the swing at 5:45 is SWEEEET, and your drive at the end looks like it was KILLED. This has been a great video for me to put the assorted pieces of knowledge you gave me in December.

  • interesting how at 1.53/54 in Elk's mini practice swing you can clearly see the handle of the club coming back at the same rate as the head followed by the distinctive 'belly roll', but this is much less evident in the swing proper.

  • belly roll?

  • @arniepga

Elk calls the front of the right forearm that's looking at the target the belly of the forearm......belly roll.

  • Martin, what do you think about coaching Tiger?

  • @manudey

    That would be interesting.
