@vampires1935 Not quite. Lucky is Alice Sebold's memoir about her rape. Susie also gets raped, but in a completely different situation, though no doubt Sebold's own experiences influenced her writing of The Lovely Bones. :)

I saw the film the other day and I thought it was a let-down compared to the book. It failed to carry all of the genres at once as the book did, despite trying. Without the visual effects, it would have been even worse. I really didn't like it, but thought the book was absolutely wonderful.
