Amazing. About the basses, why not try a MusicMan? And a black Telecaster would be a nice choice as well. Just don't get rid of the Boss effects, if you still want to keep playing Cure (or even Smiths) stuff Boss is still the best, no matter how advanced or new other effect brands are. I have some Line 6 effects and for this kind of sound my old Boss is still the best. Plus with older boss pedalboards you can have chorus and flanger together (not sure about newer models, I own a ME-10)

the jazzmaster owns it.
