We are pleased to share that PANDORA is number 35 on the top 100 most viewed non profit orgs on youtube. This is something special to be grateful for at this Thanksgiving week - to be grateful for the gift of community that we are part of it. Thank you all!
Yes, you are correct1 Bob Mayer has been a huge supporter of P.A.N.D.O.R.A. and a huge fan and supporter of Dr. Nancy Klimas. In 2006, Dr, Klimas and I,had a interview with him. In 2007, he also provided TV time for Dr. Klimas for the 2007 IACFS/ME conference. Both times he made the special disclaimer that his wife has CFS. His statement alone speaks volumes of his support for his wife as well as for our overall community. We are grateful to him and to NBC6.
Nice. This was way better than the Dr. Oz show on CFS despite showing people at work yawning which is not at all reflective of what people actually go through.
it better than the rediculous CDC one! and good info fromDr. Klimas. some asking what if u don't test positive 4 it but have ME/CFS. 5 *****, shared on twit & face. hope I get doctor inhouse soon.
thank u 4 this. yes yawning in an office & a few others are not reflective. ME/CFS flucuates 4 many, it did 4 me in severity. I was mostly house/bed confined since 1994, I didn't look sick when out, now I bed/house confined most bed. add being brain & body damaged from prescribed meds saying my ME/CFS psychiatric & leave me 4 dead. obviously still here. ur remark re HIV/AIDS I make similar in a vid of mine. namaste
PANDORA hopes to do a patient-driven video educational project with researchers, patients and personal stories that will give us the chance to display all of the facets and the hard reality of facing CFS-ME. In 2007 I participated in a Fibromyalgia educational video through grants from pharmaceutical companies. We are looking for a financial sponsor to make this video. Your input is much appreciated and desired.1Voice,1Community,1Cause!
hi cheryl this xmrv should be making some of your psychiatrist freinds at least a little embarrased but ill bet its not they will be to busy looking for some other illness to label mental they have got to make a quid[dollar] some how you know cheers geoff
Just a comment: I know that a News Program must show some "illustrative" images or videos, but those that are shown DO NOT represent us at all and they could give a wrong impression to the others about what CFS is all about: CFS has nothing to do with yawning people, sleepy people or tired people who just want to sleep, IMHO.
Except for that, it's a good video. Thanks Nancy for doing this :)
P.S: Olá, Marla. I'm Sebastián from Argentina (you can delete my comment if you want). Obrigado.
Ola Sebastian,Tudo Bem?How is the best "graphic artista" in Argentina doing? The images are the dramatization of some of the physical challenges CFS-ME patients experience 24-7 &TV viewers can quickly absorb.Reviewing tape with a more critical eye:woman napping with clothes on-that could be me! Office man holding his face up suggesting next frame would be his face hitting the keyboard.Man under the covers suggesting could be 4:58 in the PM.Viewers will get the message & Your opinion also counts.
Yes, write to NBC Miami and any news program when you see those images. First of all, those are healthy people yawning. Second of all, it is not "chronic sleepy syndrome."
WTF? Klimas is my last name BRian klimas lol
