The tournaments have become too huge and EVERYONE has read Super System or the equivalanet., the times of Superstars are no more. The times of random winners like Moneymaker and Jamie gold will be the norm.

When will we see a real established pro like Hellmuth win? That's the philosophical argument for the ages.

E) ADDENDUM: Chris Moneymaker couldn't keep up a big roll to HAVE AN ATTEMPT to make a run at Phil's numbers. Not everybody, even when they have a big roll to spend, can keep up that roll to make a run at Phil's numbers. Having a big bank roll doesn't necessarily mean you'll reach Phil numbers, idiot.

A)Wow, you're an idiot. If anybody can do that with his bank account? Then why is he, or only a select few, doing it, out of a multitude of pros with an equivalent bank account? Why is he the only one that holds these records in the WSOP, given that there is a lot of pros out there with an equivalent bank roll. Secondly, a lot of the pros built up their bank rolls with poker as their main source of income. Let's see you build up a big bank roll with poker as your main source of income....

B)which would allow you to play a lot of tournaments to make a few final tables. And, even if your argument is true that having a big bank roll will allow you to make a FEW final tables; having a big bank roll to make a FEW final tables doesn't necessarily mean you'd, then, win 11 bracelets or cash consistently enough to make a profit. It could be the case that you'd make a few final tables; but, at the expense of driving your bank roll down....

C)to such a degree where you could no longer make a living playing poker. Look at Chris Moneymaker. The guy received a roll that allowed him to play several tournaments; but, he only has a few cashes and only 1 final table appearance at the WPT since his WSOP win. He can't sustain a full career playing poker. He can't keep up his roll, which would allow him to attempt to reach Phil Hellmuth levels, even when he had a big bank roll to start out with, which was more than most of....

Phil Hellmuth is no doubt the best player in the world, not because he's lucky, but because he has the skill and fearlessness to outplay everybody and anybody. He's Ivey, Chan, Doyle, JC Tran all rolled up into one..god bless him.

Phil Hellmuth might be the best Hold Em-tournament player in the world. He has not done anything remarkable in cash-games, and have very limited success in poker-games other than Hold Em, so I really dont see how you can say hes the best poker player in the world.
