  • can anyone tell me a shortcut for creating new folder..

  • I am also a big fan of keyboard shortcuts!! One of my favourites would be ctrl+~, which I have defined myself as 'copy to next window', using a program called autohotkey (can be done with 1 line of code).

  • hey ahahahah you are so funny...but thats cool....buddy..

  • YOU SSSSSSSSSSSSSUCK - Period. argue with me - defend yourself, whatever, You suck and your dog is defiinitely extremely cool, (but he seems mechanical - I'm hoping noy). I believe that your dog feels compunction and is a cool guy for being in this egregious lockergnoeme "show" !!!!! HE is the one I would like to spend a casual evening with talking about the newer indie movies or the the new Justice League of America manifestation

  • Kool tutorial...

    Thanks

    Bangkok Johnny

    Kingdom of Thailand

  • Windows Key + D then Alt + F4 then ENTER

  • CTR+W

    VERY USE,,,LES!!!

  • go more in depth with keyboard shortcuts. you are supposed to be really good at computers and all you go on about are the basics

  • alt + tab is awesome and very useful

  • alt f4 and ctr z ctr y

  • Alt-Tab

  • My favorite shortcut is control alt command 8 it is awesome.

  • HAHAHA that is hilarious in the text @ 1:41

  • Ctrl+W closes the tab your on.

  • only on xp

  • What is that on the ticker above the displays? Looks like some very rough Katakana.

  • it didn't work for me, i guess my computer sucks or i just don't have the program

  • nice

    it worked lol

  • it works back to atleast 2003

  • alt+f4

  • push 5 times on shift and its going to luck your keys

  • start+M minimize all windows

  • oh thats awesome, wait, thats what the show desktop icon is for on the quick launch

  • windows key r=run,windows key t=task manager

  • what an asshole you are...

  • windows key+n open up another window of the one active now (if firefox would be active, it would open up another window of firefox.)

  • Windows is stupid as its use "Ctrl" as the most widely use shortcut which is inconvinent to press than the Mac's "Command", think the Command key is located near the thumb while the Ctrl is located near the fourth finger, pressing Command + C or X or V is more comfortable than using the Ctrl instead.

  • I agree 100% on that I hateit when im at school with the windows "ctrl" lol im liek alt.. dangit ctrl...

  • Mac has many shortcuts!

  • For those who love shortcuts and speeding up life. Try transfz (dot com) for XP. It's freeware.

  • windows+r (run), windows+d (jump to desktop/and back), windows+m (minimize every thing), alt+tab (cycle programs), ctrl+f4/ctrl+w (close a document/tab), alt+f4 (close program), f3 (search), ctrl+f (search in document), windows+e (fil explorer), windows+f (search for files), windows+b (system tray), windows+tab (select program/3d cycle program), ctrl+z (undo), ctrl+y (redo), ctrl+n (new file/window), ctrl+s (save)[one of my favorits], ctrl+a (select all), ctrl+o (open)

  • What ticks me off are the mac shortcuts like for things like screen capture command+shift+4+space wtf kind of shortcut is that????

  • Mac has some very obscure shourt cut's like they didn't wan't you to press them :), i usualy have to call for some one else to press reset while im holding apple+command+o+f to get in to open firmware to eject a stuck cd.

  • CTRL + A (select all)

  • Opera: The dot '.' plus letters I look for in the page (or comma ',' just for hyperlinks within a page). Aditionally eg. for Opera to close an entire second window (incl. tabs) I like Ctrl+Shift+W instead of Alt+F4.

To jump around in texts I couldn't miss Ctrl+Arrows to jump words or paragraphes. And of course marking text while holding Shift, too.

Instead of Alt+F4 I use Ctrl+Q because it's less crippling

Linux (Bash): Command line complition, i.e. tab key

  • alt - tab!!!!!, greatest shortcut next to ctrl c-x-v and alt F4

  • I usually like doing as much as i can without touching the mouse but... In linux you have allot more options with the mouse like highlight text and middle click where you want to paste it without touching the keyboard and lots more.

  • Windows+L Locks your computer or "switch users" even if that option isnt enabled.

Windows+R "live.pirilloDotcom" Enter (now theres one!)

  • thanks didn't know win+l

  • I like Ctrl+T, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+Y the most.

  • I got a good one for you Chris, Ctrl + enter in IE/firefox will automatically wrap .... <name> com around your <name>.... pretty heh, now one day I accidentally tabbed some darn keys and it wrapped org.... urgh, I can't find those keys... find it hurry I need to know

  • Ctrl+Alt+Del should be the most hated keyboard shortcut, lol

  • Here are Some

    • CTRL+C (Copy)

    • CTRL+X (Cut)

    • CTRL+V (Paste)

    • CTRL+Z (Undo)

  • I like/use those most (but not Cut that often).

  • word 2003 works with the ALT - doublclick just to let u know

  • ALT+TAB is my favorite. switches between ur open windows.

  • well for windows machines, my most COMMONLY used one (next to copy/past/cut) would be ctrl+alt+delete....windows task manager, comes in handy when *blah*Windows*blah* freezes up. My Mac shortcuts are def +Q / +W / +/ +N (those the windows users that cant see the character before the "+"....its an apple

  • LOST, YAY!!!!

  • In Internet Exploroer and Firefox (and possibly other web browsers) Alt+left/right arrow is handy for going back/forward.

  • opera browser has a nice back/forward mouse gesture feature, you right click anywhere and flick the mouse left for back and right for forward

  • And Ctrl + A = Select all

  • a shortcut that's completely useless but fun is ctrl+alt+arrow down (please note that you can reverse it with ctrl+alt+ arrow up) :-)

  • Doesn't work with all computers, but it is fun. And screws up your desktop icon setup XD

  • Ctrl+a is very useful. In Windows Vista the Windows Logo+Tab is fun, but not very useful.

  • Ctrl+Shift+Esc = Windows Task Manager, the others i use are the ones u mentioned and the ones mentioned already, i would add the Ctrl+A to your top 3 as somtimes not all the text is clear or is in a small box. Keep the videos coming I do like watching and find it very informative

  • i use WIN+PAUSE to bring up the system properties window, since i am a network technician, i access that window constantly

  • Just pressing the F3 buttons is easier than pushing CRTL+F in my opinion.

  • As I said in the chat- theres an extension for Firefox called DictionarySearch. You highlight a word while you're browsing, right click, and then click Search Dictionary for "word".

  • Ctrl+alt+del owns, task manager owns

Alt+Tab is useful for minimizing games

    Alt+F4 is fun too

I'm in that video :) the video kept freezing though ):

  • ALT + F4 is my fav :P and one some might not know is ctrl + f it finds text on the page its AWSOME

  • Oh yeah, Windowbutton + D - DISSAPEAR!!! lol

  • Great tips! I'm a big fan of your shows!
