Anyway, this is about sloppy journalism/commentary. O'Reilly hurled his usual accusations - Brooks is a far-left radical that will "operate" in the Pentagon. To support this view, he pointed out Brooks accused the Bush administration of breaking the law by allowing torture (which he did), and that she was once employed in George Soros Institute.

Is this a far-left radical? I wonder what would O'Reilly call Kim Jong-il.

Our public schools have taught socialism for many years, but U.S. citizens should know the Constitution and democracy because that's what made this country great. Fox News gets much higher ratings than any other cable news, because people are sick of yellow journalism. Lou Dobbs is the only big main jreporter left who is not on Fox. All the others have forgotten to report facts objectively. Russert , Cronkite, etc. would be appalled at the death of real freedom of the press.

My perception in this matter is very different from yours. I would say that channels like MSNBC, Fox News, and certain shows like Lou Dobbs or Bill Moyers are clearly biased towards certain ideological spectra.

I don't consider TV stations like CNN, Fox, NBC and CBS are largely not ideologically biased. Note that this doesn't mean they do good reporting. I don't think they do. But they sacrifice good journalism for ratings in other ways.
