its called style people. he doesnt think he is african, he doesnt think he is anything other than what he expresses him self to be. if you dont like the music, dont listen, but if you do, then continue to engage in a wonderful style/sound. he has a nice soft sound voice but when he sings he adds his emotions and expressions from life experiences. come on people stop being critical on whether or not he is a fake. if you could be half of him then you wouldn't be saying shit
yah, i saw him in concert and his voice was all deep when he was talking, and then i actually got to to talking to him and his voice was different it caught me by suprise!!

He is sooo nice! he perfromed at the obama party we had. I remember asking him--" are you trevor?" and he said" ya i am . im gonna be perfroming today!".. it was soo cool!
Ya strung out christian is vulgar. He seems like a nice sensitive guy, and that's what his music is. If you don't like the guy then don't listen to his music.
