I think Its better if they split the movie in two parts. It makes room for more details and such regarding the story. Its much better with two really good parts then one bad..and its also the same princip with the last Harry Potter movie.

Actually, just about a month ago Guillermo del Toro and Peter Jackson announced that they decided to just split the Hobbit into two movies and abandone the whole "bridge movie" idea. So now they'll have plenty of time to fit basically every scene in the Hobbit book into the movie. :D

I think it's a cool movie idea. Ok people are obviously stupid when they rant without even looking at the description. And people are stupid when they say that Sauron was never mentioned, since it is official that he is the Necromancer that Gandalf mentions. Aragorn was also linked since he was the one mentioned by Gandalf that helped him track Gollum after he left the Misty Mountains after Bilbo. So people should know their facts before they spout off like that. Makes them look even stupider.

I'm not sure what was going to be in it other than the cult stuff, but the first 15 pages or so (which I read) just have two characters. An old man that is related to Beregond, not sure if he's his son or grandson, and the other character is a younger guy. It starts out with them talking about a lot of the falts of men and comparing them to orcs. Then the younger guy hints at being part of the cult and tells the old man to meet him outside his house at night and to follow him to find out.

They couldn't have been even if he ever finished it. Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, Frodo and Sam all went to the Undying Lands. And Aragorn, Merry and Pippin are all dead when the story takes place. Well, I'm pretty sure Aragorn was dead because I think they mentioned his son being the king during the story.

I still don't understand how this video makes me a non-Tolkien-fan. And there aren't any videos on youtube that are supposed to be about the "bridge movie" that Del Toro and Jackson are making. And no, most of them aren't better than mine. Mine's not great, but if you actually watched a lot of Hobbit related trailers, they're just a bunch of random clips of Bilbo with shots of dragons from other movies with that "Requium for a Dream" song or whatever in the background.

I'm the only person who has made a fan trailer for the second movie. Most of the other trailers make less sense than mine and have the balrog and ring wraiths in them when they're supposed to be about THE HOBBIT. Mine isn't supposed to be THE HOBBIT. It's just a fan made trailer...of course it's technically going to be "wrong". And nowhere in this trailer does it say that the first movies isn't going to be The Hobbit. And I've never heard anyone say anything about a "parallel" to Lord of the Rings.  Guiellero and Jackson have used the word "bridge" as in it was fill in the gap between two films. Which my trailer sort of suggests. Read the description.

I don't know if they can make a good movie from those 60 years, since that would be kind of boring for the normal audience because it was 60 years of peace. There was no great battle fought between the battle of the five armies and the 1st battle of the war of the ring(battle of the fords of the isen). So you can practically show that whole part in 10 minutes. But we'll see...

The Gollum is from the extended edition of Two Towers. The elves are Lothlorien elves. Haldir is in front, and the Fellowship is following him. That shot is from the extended edition of The Fellowship of the Ring.
