This is as good as it gets for remote cameras like this. It is expensive and for a fraction of the price you can get good results with a Contour-Hd or a GoPro HD.
But have you seen raw video from the HXR MC1P?
When you have that camera plugged direct to a 55inch 1080p tv via hdmi it looks almost perfect.
Yes, its pricey, and the qualitiy is not that good for a camera of this price, but look at it this way: its the highest quality bullet camera there is. Closest thing I can think of is the Countour HD
We have a dogacam 520 and its one hell of a kit- idestructable, flexible, small
check out our channel for examples.
But in our 1208x720 output format its fair to say, a bit low-res
So what do you think dogcam-guys? :D
Is there anything with better video quality on sale today than the HXR-MC1P ?
hmm. CMOS - how does it do with motion and vibration? CMOS camcorders are notorious for the "rolling shutter" effect that creates wobble and "gelly" effect..
It's pretty good to be fair. They've done a good job of filtering out most of the "wobble vision" normally associated with CMOS cameras like the ATC cameras etc. But then for this price you would expect it to not have a gelly effect.
If you're interested in this kit...you might want to act fast as I know the prices are due to go up very soon.
