  • Who's the cute guy at 3:35?

  • I wish the goblins would come take me away, right now!

    ... *ahem* Right now!

    :C Guess I don't have the power.

  • 7:39 i love that smile!

  • Jim Henson is so great! RIP! Such a great man!

  • I didn't feel like that much of a child at 14...

  • Holy crap :O it's Dr. Crusher :O the early years!

  • I would love to be in this movie SO much, even as a hand...

  • 5:44 HELLO!?

  • 8:04 LOL that lady in the white outfit looks SOOOOOOOO jeulous of jennifer

  • i love the white dress! and her hair with that pretty silver vine-thing in it!

  • haha, i dont know y, but i love the way the guy says bubble

  • I can't count all the times I've held up one of my siblings and said "I wish the goblins would come and take you away right now" and sat there waiting for a white owl to break into my house.

  • @natotack LMAO Im right there with ya doll :P

  • I WANT TO DANCE WITH DAVID BOWIE!!! The Goblin King can come take my brothers!! I have 3 of them!! ... I am waiting for David Bowie to show up now...

  • I WANT TO DANCE WITH DAVID BOWIE!!!

  • the ball scene is like the best.

  • in the as the world falls down in dancing bit what is the thing is their hands the round thing what are they used for and why are they there are they shown in the final take and in the real movie? please REPLY?

  • @Hermione1983 i know what you mean by the round things but i don't know the question? maybe i can help if i understood.

  • At 8:06 just looks like if everyone is watching Bowie and Jen to don't have trouble with pedophilia

  • OMG BEVERLY CRUSHER!!!

  • OH every time i watch the movie i almost DIE when he smirks like that. you can just see all that smugness in knowing shes looking for him. ooh god, its gorgeous!

  • Didn't they have a kiss scene in this movie?

  • @TheDolphinlover1234 They did but the "test audience" didn't like that Jennifer was under aged :(

  • @pokemaniacdance Where did you hear that from? If I were in that "test audience" I wouldn't mind it!

  • @Halfbluemoon1 i heard it from a website where the experts post mistakes and hidden stuff :) i think if you google labyrinth deleted scenes it'll be there. its a really colorful page. it reminds me a notebook sort of. hope that helped :) and ikr! i would do anything to get my hands on that video!

  • @TheDolphinlover1234 no she was too young. i can imagine she was thinking : DAMN UNDERAGE LAW!!!!

  • David Bowie is so sexy. I used to tell my friends and family that I was going to marry the hot Goblin King. AHH! Love this movie!

  • Jennifer.... god i feel so envious of you! And at fifteen... i would feel the same way as her. Dancing with a charismatic, handsome man like David Bowie would be a little awkward because he was forty years old, and it would also be really cool, because he is, after all, DAVID BOWIE. XD <3

  • the ballroom dance scene is my favorite...awww Bowie is not handsome but he has something that makes him sexy and dancing with him would be a dream come true...especially having him sing to you

  • Luvd the ballroom scene. So it took lots of chandeliers n reflecting light to creat the dream-like effect. I really wish I could've dance wit David Bowie.

  • i wanna dance with david! :O hahahah

  • 5:45 : LOL... *winkwink* *nudgenudge*

7:54 : This unblinking gaze is DRIPPING SEX :3

  • 8:07 " I loved shitting myself" :-)

  • You guys really are into the Sarah/Jareth thing, it's all part of acting in getting to know your acting partners and treat them as family off stage. It looks more like a type of best friend relationship with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly, and the reason it looked like she was blushing was because she was wearing blush. =P Trust me, I hate blush make-up.

Although, I do love their rehearsel, it looked confusing and nerve-driving to memorize.

  • one thing i carnt stop thinking of wat with there mirrows that there putting in there faces it like they just whant to check if there hair alright

  • lol dancing while going down the stair hardest thing ever +a long ball dress

  • oh god, she is so lucky. she gets to dance with david bowie not only once, but over and over for practice. god if i were her the moment i got home everyday i would scream into my pillow and go hysterical. ahaha/.

  • @ImmorTigerLilyxx she probably messed up on purpose a few times so that she could do it over and over

  • The costumes certainly are beautiful! So much detail!

  • I'm sure it was just terrible having to practice dancing with David! *sarcasm* lol

  • oooh go Jennifer with dancing with David

    they looked beautiful together

  • the ball is one of the best scenes in the movie. I wanna dance with David Bowie!!!!

  • i love davids smirk in the ball scene its amazing you would think kissing someone with sharp teeth would be wierd but i think no one would care if it was david!

  • @Namisia210 LMFAO OMG i lol'd for like 5 minutes at your comment

  • It looks like he is singing to her @ 4:40...she is such a lucky lucky girl!!

  • @CrazyGood88 Jareth does actually sing to Sarah in the ballroom scene,so I guess they were rehearsing that.

  • @kyuketsukisan19 I know and I loved that scene too. But to have a man like David Bowie sing to me when we are not on scene? man...I know she was thrilled. And acting like she was enthralled was no problem. lol

  • Aww, bless! And then she married a Paul Bettany, who is also a British actor who does look a bit like David.

  • omg...I just realized....Giselle from Enchanted stole Sarah's dress!!!

  • People say she was blushing but, honestly, she wasn't. lol

  • aww british and american actors in love

  • Comment removed

  • In the words of the NostalgiaChick: "And then she gets groped very very much."

  • yea.....but we could, if some one made a twisted version or a sequal to it, that would be awsome

  • @SerenaRoberson yes indeed it is.

  • 5:35 BEAUTIFUL MASK beautiful dress..and sat like an old man..

  • Jennifer Connelly got to learn how to ballroom dance with David Bowie. Oh that lucky duck =D

  • I would have died!

  • The ballroom scene was the best!

i wonder what would have happened if she stayed with him?

  • lol why would she choose down!

i love the ballroom scene, its probably the sexiest food poisoning induced fever dream ever! thank you david bowie!

  • poor jennifer connelly

i dont think anyones ever been groped as much as her

  • I didn't realized that Cheryl Mcfadden @4:08 started out as an Director of Choreography. She is so beautiful there. That is pretty cool. I am going to look at her profile now.

  • i love the ballroom scene...i so wanted to be sarah at that point in the movie lol....Jareth looked so hot

  • @lilmamadiva66

OMGAH--i understand what you're talking about. LOL hahahha--exactly what i was thinking too!

  • does jim henson do Kermit the Frogs voice? coz as he was talking through this it sounded very similar

  • Yes, he also voiced Ernie, Rowf the dog & the Swedish Chef.

  • @guthriegrey REALLY! wow i never knew that!!!!

  • I still want that big poofy white dress... SO POOFY... SO PRETTY... :D

  • What a lucky girl Jennifer was, even she had a little crush on him, you can tell by the way she looks at him in the rehearsals that shes like Oh why can't this story be true.!!

  • I wish I was one of the dancers at the ball. Their costumes are absolutely breathtaking. The whole set is like a fairytale.

  • at 4:31, it looks like David and Jennifer are in their own little world since they're not dancing in time with the other dancers. I think they would've made a very beautiful couple (were she of age and if they were interested in each other). They had great chemistry and I hope they're still friends!

  • I really love the ballroom scene...and before and after that scene some musical parts :D I just adore those scenes:D

  • 5:45 OMG lucky guy :P

  • the ballroom scene has always been my favorite ever since i was little. i want my wedding to like like that.

  • god I miss the 80's. When ( to me at least ) everything was so new, original and people actually worked on movies. Like the puppets, backgrounds and such. Not like today, where everything is slapped on a computer. The dark Crystal etc... sigh..kids will never know..it's so sad.

  • i know it makes me want to cry that i wasn't alive in the 80's, see im 13 so i never go to live through all that...oh well *sigh* atleast there are videos of it....

  • Sure kids will know. It's not like these movies were destroyed after the 80's ended. Thanks to those same computers you don't care for, all of this great stuff is even MORE accessible for the younger crowds today. I miss these good old days too, but they don't get erased just because the 80's are over.

Sidenote, computer modeling and animation is just as much an art as puppets and sets. Things aren't just "slapped" together. They still come up with concepts and go through making them real.

  • -cries- i want to be in that embrace!!!!

  • Dr Crusher :-p

  • my mom was a dancer in this scene she tells me it was a great experience :)

  • did she get to meet david bowie?! :D

  • she said she seen him but didnt meet him that would be pretty cool though :)

  • well, NobodyVeryImportant, I'd say that makes you pretty important :P

I wonder what Jennifer thought of David Bowie during the movie, if she had a little crush on him. I'd die to be her, aha.

  • i know i would have a crush on him :D

  • if i was your mom i'd have to refrain from like jumping on his during the scene

  • aww thats sux but thats still awesome! :D she should of ran up to him and just hugged him!!! haha i would do that :]

  • me too!! :D

  • i love the scene of the ball

    its so wonderfull

    and beautyfulll

  • 8:07 I wonder what's the feeling like to dance with David..... Jennifer is so lucky...and I'm so envy! :-D

  • 7:38-7:40 makes me wanna kiss him

    7:50 her eyes are gorgeous

  • I thought the talking hands were very creative!

And the ball scene was so beautiful.

Jennifer and David look like they're enjoying themselves.

  • Cheryl Gates McFadden (born March 2, 1949, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio), is usually credited as Gates McFadden.

    Information: Wikipedia

  • Before Star Trek: The Next Generation, she was mostly known as a choreographer, often working on Jim Henson productions: The Dark Crystal, for which she was a choreographer, Labyrinth, for which she served as Director of Choreography and Puppet Movement, & The Muppets Take Manhattan, in which she has a brief on-screen appearance. As a way of distinguishing her acting work from her choreography, she is usually credited as "Gates McFadden" as an actress & "Cheryl McFadden" as a choreographer.

  • Woah, Dr. Crusher was in this? I never knew...

  • thanks so much for posting this!

  • I love Jennifer's gown!

  • I would marry him with that dress! :-D

  • I'd marry anyone in that dress! I wouldn't care what he was wearing! Ha, ha.

  • thank you for the video <3

  • ballroom scene is a amazing!

The Labyrinth is a best Fantasy movie al time. What can i say. Jim Henson (Muppet Show) Terry Jones (Monty Python) and George Lucas (STAR WARS),

  • I think she had a crush on him... there's another clip where they're dancing and he trips down a step and he's laughing. She just kind of gazes at him and another when they dance down the same step and she sticks her tongue out and smiles playfully. I've also seen a behind the scene photo where she's leaning her head on his shoulder while Jim Henson directs them. Too bad they weren't the same age... could've been nice.

  • i would've

  • thats so cute!! can you send me the picture???

  • Dr. Crusher!!!

  • i thot it looked like they were 'steppin down' in the ball scene, there WERE stairs on the set!

  • jennifer's hair had major volume for the ball scene, i wish i could do that lol...or was sum of her hair a wig cuz it did seem like A LOT! :)...david's got a vampire smile at 7:39! love it!

  • @SisterOfSorrow Or major teasing. I reckon I could pass as a Sarah in that scene if my hair was 4-5 inches longer and a tad darker.

  • Cheryl Macfadden? when did she change to Gates Macfadden to be dr Crusher in star trek nxt generation anyway this documentary is fascinating thanks for putting it on here

  • cheryl mcfadden!!!! from star trek! oh the talent in this film

  • The ballroom scene as the best scene in the movie.

  • I am so glad you put this up on here, cuz I don't have the dvd, but I really want it. This is really cool and I am glad I can see it now:)

  • I had no idea Beverley Chrusher from Star Trek was also a dance choreographer. She's cool!

  • :) the balllroom dance was kindof cute :)

  • whoah.....7:40....damn. evilfigaro, is that where you are talking about? i love it.

  • Wow...Jim Henson is a genius...just watching how he and his muppeteering wizards did the whole pit of hands thing.

  • I love david's sexy smirk right there.

  • right where?? i wanna see!!!!!!

  • it must have been cool dancing with David lucky girl !!!

  • I wish they would have released it separately, at least. :( I would buy it. I've never seen it before. Heck, I didn't know it even existed! It's so cool to see into one of my favorite childhood films.

  • I agree. Back when it first came out they released it separately as a VHS. But I suppose they want you to re-buy the movie to make more money.

  • o okies I would buy it anyway though lol

  • wait.... this stuff isn't on the DVD? :S then how on earth did you get hold of it, thanks for uploading too btw x

  • It's on the Anniversary edition of the DVD that was released recently. I put this up for people that didn't want to have to buy a whole new version of the DVD just to see it.

  • how much the dvd? and where can you buy it?

  • I bought mine at Walmart for like, twelve dollars? Fourteen, maybe. It's so very pretty, the special edition. The cover is gorgeous, and the quality is great.
