The Blue Angels did indeed fly a T-33. They acquired it in 1952 an flew media and other VIP flight with it for several years. It was never a demonstration aircraft. The paint scheme on this plane is very accurate, including the yellow checkerboard paint on the wing tip tanks. Of course the navy called them the TV-2 Shooting Star, and they always wore the number 0 on their tails.
The Angels never flew this jet. they flew the f9f panther which at a distance has a similar profile but this was an airforce jet she should have painted it in Thunderbird colors if anything
