  • graduating from devry does not require intelligence but does, however, require tuition

  • i go to tcu my school better than ur school wen ever u tell ppl u went or go to devry ppl say ok u walk away ppl insult ur school

  • What a bunch of fucking saps. I laugh my ass off job applications saying "Devry grads need not apply" lolololol

  • @SnakeSafety101 Do you have a resource for this statement? I've never seen such a comment on any job posting. Maybe they included that because they knew they couldn't afford one of us. lol. BTW, I'm another success story. I was hired by the largest pharmacy company in the nation as a network systems administrator. Yes, Walgreens hires Devry. This is my 3rd S&P 500 company after AT&T and FPL. in fact my current supervisor mentioned he had had good experiences with Devry Chicago alumni.

  • @SnakeSafety101 Oh yeah, by the way. I'm graduating tomorrow magna cum laude. :) ... Where did you graduate from? Did you receive any distinctions?... Do you even have any sort of education? Since you've been looking at job postings, I'm assuming your degree hasn't served you well enough... that's of course if you have a degree. I've found that many disgruntled ex-Devry-couldn't-hack-it people are quick to post trash. No need to wonder why. Humor us.

  • @outbreak42 I am not sure about SnakeSafety101 . But obviously I graduated from DeVry and I got summa cum laude. I only had one B in all of College.

I am very happy with my job now. Just in case anyone was wondering about me.

  • @fatbrowne

Wow, summa cum laude. Devry isn't even ranked. I would love for the "summa cum laude" to write me a persuasive argument on why one should attend there. And before you call me a disgruntled ex-student, consider this: I go to UGA, my school is ranked in the top 50. Your school probably isn't even in the top 10,000...of the world.

  • @bml0624 I am sorry to hear that but I believe your education is what you make of it. And if you can get a great paying career that you love than I believe you went to a great school.

  • i didnt like it much.....

  • @hinalakhani I am sorry to hear that. There were many aspects I enjoyed about the school

  • @fatbrowne dumbass, devry is a for profit institution. it's not a real school. it's like roseta stone

  • Congrats! I am going to DeVry right now majoring in Finance... Set to graduate hopefully summer of 2011. :)

What has your experience been like after graduation? And what was your major?

  • @crazycooldude589 My experience has been great. I have had three full time salary positions since Graduation. I graduated with a CET bachelors degree.

I am happy that I got it. I knew it was a goal I would one day accomplish as I stated in the speech

  • @fatbrowne That's great! :) I am excited. I hate how some people say bad things about DeVry. I have known plenty of people that get great paying positions!

  • @crazycooldude589 yeah I am one of those people who have a great paying position since graduating.

I guess you could say I am a success story!

  • this doesn't constitute as graduating. devry is a trade school that went into the business of selling bachelor's degrees - it's nothing but a phony, puesdo-degree, which undermine real degrees. there are no shortcuts in life. stay true to yourself and graduate at least from a state school. devry is just a terrible waste of money. have you seen those job postings before? "devry or uop grads need not apply".

  • @waterman1976 That sounds pretty bad but since I graduated from DeVry I have been offered 3 different positions and accepted each one. Part of the reason why there have 3 is that companies are having a hard time keeping employees right now and occasionally have to let them go with a severage package. This is what happened to me

  • The REAL DeVry About my personal DeVry experience> They didn't even have enough working computers for all the students. Financial problems at the time from what our deans told us & asked us to take another course for the semester. I left just in time to get a reliable education at a state college & now have a dependable job & my Master's I earned not just a paid for degree from a for profit institute. My straight A credits weren't even accepted by the college because of DeVry's reputation.

  • Did you have this experience at DeVry Orlando?

If so what time period was this?

    I was there from 2004-2007

  • @desertflower08 that sounds like a nightmare. Which campus did you attend? Was it in Florida?

  • Congratulations. If all goes well this week I will be the Student Scholar from the Chicago Campus.

  • Hater

  • I agree.

  • To be smarter and more professional than you wil ever be daver.

  • Google "business wire devry pmi"

Real companies like Boeing and international accreditation agencies seem to strongly disagree with you.

  • @sfbmod that is funny because I personally know other graduates from DeVry that got hired by Boeing just as they graduated from the orlando campus. Have they changed their minds lately?

  • You violated the number one rule of graduation speeches... don't talk about yourself, this day isn't about you. It looked like you were accepting an award.

  • Congratulations on being Student Speaker. I hope to the same thing for the Southern California Campuses. Well done!!
