I would of thought you would do the floor last... as you still have to do all of the walls etc.. do you plan on putting down cardboard to protect the new floor? It does make it look soo much better.
when we were tiling our house, thats how we did it- with the spacers.... we have a little hand tool device, that is shaped like a razor at the end, but it is basically diamond encrusted steel... basically, it sands the glue once it dries.
I don't believe it will be used in the winter months. I think in the first video he did he said that it was all for summer and warmer months use. And seriously, you can always get flip flops, slippers or socks!
Lookin GOOD! ; D I've seen people use JUST thin set on tiles (no grout). MOST resaurants have the 1/4 inch+ thick quarry tiles. They're spaced 1/8 - 1/4 inch apart. HAHA You'd have to drop a V8 car block on it to break it.! Industrial flooring 101.lol Awesome.
Tell your buddy to remove the extra thin-set motar out of the grout line with one of the spaces and flick it to the side, wipe edge of tile clean with a finger. Save him self lots of scrapping later :)
The summer kitchen is coming along nicely. I can tell it's gonna be beautiful when it's done. If it's done before late January I'll get to see it, otherwise I'll have to wait till maybe mid summer :( (moving in late January and won't have net for a few months or so).
A kitchen to use in the summer so that it doesn't heat up the main part of the house. It is an older "practice" in time. Best for houses without any cooling devices.
Looking awesome. I did a house once had 18x18 tile and it was imported from spain and cost $125 a tile and they bought the right amount talk about nerve rattling trying to make sure no tiles break or get cut wrong.
Love the price! Even I could afford that! This is to be the way of the future, everyone is good at something. Help out others when needed and they will help you. The underground economy at it's finest. HST, what HST...
My mom and I both feel very strongly we should go back to the bartering and trading systems between people in communities. But sadly, so many others feel that we should just pay for everything...

To the guy who said you can use grout and not glue (sarcastically) it was partially white thin set mortar, not grout

Make sure you do something nice for your friend. That's really cool of him to put in that amount of time and labor. The floor is coming along nicely.
