Diddy Kong Racing 64 - Owning the dinosaur!

I used to have the hardest time with this boss, mostly because I kept falling off near the top. Once you get accustomed to the controls though, it's all manageable. Years later, on the DS port, I aced this boss without breaking a sweat.

Too bad that port kinda sucked though. Stupid method for boosts, and no water physics totally threw me off for much of hoverboat levels.

I cant really believe i'm saying this, but this game is actually better than mario kart 64, mario kart 64 got pretty boring after a while. Or mabye its because I have mario kart 64 for both the virtual console, and the N64, so I played that game to death......

You know, I had so much trouble trying to win in Tricky's Course so many times. But now, I can win without any problems. I can actually win without using blue balloon boosts, and without taking the shortcut.

I'll bet you had the same problem trying to beat the triceratops.

You're partially right. Nintendo owns the rights to the Diddy Kong name, likeness, etc. Since "Diddy Kong" is in the title, Rare can't make a Diddy Kong Racing game unless they have an agreement with Nintendo, which Rare won't do anymore for whatever reason. It's sad really, because Rare was one of the top developers at one time.

This game was so frustrating as a kid. Idk how they expected 5 year olds to play that. Especially defeating wizpig. I can still only beat him with drumstick the first time and pipsy the second. Pipsy ftw btw :) I always use her.

Shortcut is at 1:03 Where the plants are, it's a uphill cave that cuts through a level of the mountain. The first time you race him there is a boost thing in there, but the second time there isn't.
