  • Great testimony. Hope abilify and whatever else works for you!

  • Studdering is also a side affect

  • i'm 16 and ive been on seroquel xr 300mg for 2 years. and now im trying to get off. and it fucking sucks. sometimes my entire body would shake but it was a shake i couldnt ever immitate. like i was shaking too much to do it on my own free will. fuck that garbage. anybody who reads this and you're on seroquel. i would say get off it now or as soon as you can. its not worth it

  • hmmm luckily for me i can still get some sleep if im off it.. ive only been on it few weeks and on a very small dosage.. im trying to take it as seldom as possible.. i guess for me i feel a bit more depressed when im off it, im very sensiitive when im not on it.. but ur right dont depend on it hey,

what was your dosage? im on 10 mg..

  • The medical establishment has not searched for alternatives to drugs for people with mental illness. Prescribing drugs is the easy way out for doctors. I suffered with halucinations, audible, and was convinced of being damned to hell even when I was a practicing Christian. I was put on serequel. Now I want off it but like most people I cant sleep without it. Am I paranoid to suggest that the drug is designed to make it almost impossible to quit? The drug companies want life long customers !

  • honestly i dunno if this is just my own personal experience.. but as soon as ur on these drugs.. u cant live without them.. has anyone been on them and are off them completely? cuz ive been on these shits for 7 years and everytime i get off em i go fucking insane.. I NEVER used to be like that :S i was depressive before but yeah..... not anxious crazy etc.. so yeah.. :S

  • @weezerfootie After 2 years my experience is:

    > When I do not take it for one day, I get zero sleep

    > fever whilst feeling cold, sweaty/strong odor.

    > I respond over exaggerated over the tiniest things , including violent thoughts I am ashamed to say.

    > I am very quickly irritated and impatient.

    > Bipolar.

For me Seroquel is a lifesaver, but depending on anti-psychotics for the rest of my life isn't a very bright outlook either. Do you get the same symptoms when getting off?

  • Comment removed

  • @Nomasain those are my exact symptoms. to the dot.

  • I had taken this med and it did make me black out and shake uncontrolably

  • I felt the same way when I was on seraquel. I feel that this drug is very dangerous.

  • Seroquel works for me. Found it by accident. I got schizophrenia. Been on the med for 2-3 yrs now. The problem alot of people have with anti-psychotic meds is that they dont give it time to adjust to their body. Took me close to a year on Seroquel and hardly any side effects now. Keep trying till you find the right one.

  • @akfunnyguy make sure you eat enough magnesium, niacine and glycine, with antipsychotic always take the lowest dose you can take (the voices won't hurt you, seroquel/haloperidol/olanzapine/chlorpromazine will in the long, long run).

i know what you're going through and i do hope you feel fine soon. schizophrenia is just a dopamine imbalance and nothing more.

  • i don't have schizophrenia or bipolar.... i have only been diagnosed with severe anxiety/ocd and bpd. i take 300 mg of seroquel just so i can fall to sleep. i take 300 mg of zoloft just to 'get through' the day. i think either way... we're screwed... on meds or off.

  • I take 1400 mg seroquel a day. 1000 mg xr + 400 regular I find that its less sedating overtime

  • I mean no disrespect to anyone here... But this stuff is ment to have these "side effects" I think the people who are taking these drugs are used as guinny pigs not patients.

  • how you going cunt :P

  • i tried seraquel. it made me have horrible anxiety and i could barely talk..stuttering and no reaction time.modern medicine only treats the symptoms of a disease and not the cause.so dont think doctors are all knowing.i have found that most of the time they arent. and i wouldnt consider a pschiatrist a doctor.ive dealt with alot of them they really arent that great.. most of them dont even ask about your symptoms or read your chart.its just a guessing game to them, sometimes you get a good one...

  • I dont get how it helps bi=polar....maybe it makes you too tired to feel anything, which is better than being depressed....plus you wouldnt be able to tie a slip knot or have the energy to lift a razor blade so it stops suicide?

All it does for me is make me unable to physically indulge my mania/psychotic eps

  • Thanks for sharing! I just got diagnosed as bipolar and was prescribed Seroquel XR by my doctor so I'm researching it

  • drunk sedated sounds great to me haha

  • Thankk you for that

  • @spheremaster90 try telling her that in a dark street ...

  • Hey i had minor twitching on seroquel but intense convulsions and irritation on abilify. you could have had twitching from both for sure. What are you on now? Did you ever feel stabilized on meds?

  • damn thats pretty intense so it made u feel like a zombie or something
