Why buy a truck from an automaker who builds a truck on a flimsy 2 piece welded stamped sheet metal frame? Good luck driving this pos in a ditch, you'll snap it in half. The Tundra recieced a below average reliability rating for the tailgate popping open when driving due to poor build quality. Buy an F-150 supercrew 4x4 EcoBoost, it gets 25 mpg and has better towing, hp and torque than Tundra. Also, whos the best selling and reliabile midsize for over 36 years? FORD F-150!!!!!!!
@Fx4Ranger2002 lololo...you Numb Nut. For real do you believe the fuel economy on that ecofag engine is 25 mpg? Read a few F-150 forums and see what the real world mpg's are from F-150 owners. Not even close.
The iForce 5.7 L does 381 hp and 401 lb·ft. The ecofag 5.0 L does 360 hp and 380 lb·ft....to beat the iForce on these specs you gotta get the 6.2L ecofag engine...so zip-it
F-150s are great consumer grade trucks. If you need something professional grade, get a Tundra.
@AcesandTwos LOL! The EcoBoost isnt a 5.0, its a 3.5 v6 with 365hp and 420ftlbs of torque and gets 25mpg, it has a towing capacity of 11300lbs. Get your shit straight buddy. The Tundra doublecab has a 9500lb towing capacity and gets 13mpg. Have fun at the gaspump buddy. Also, Tundra recieved below average reliability ratings due to the tailgate randomly popping open due to poor frame and build quality. Dont call me out with biased information out of your 15 year old head.
@Fx4Ranger2002 Ok, i just picked the F-150 engine that looked to be a match to the iForce....my bad...so the Eco does have less less hp...and bro I gurantee it don't get 25mpg in the real world. Wake up and smell the espresso. I love your random popping open stuff.... Is that like like the frame bending issue on the F-150s SVTs...WHAT!!....(ahem...you have been called out)
@AcesandTwos Your first sentence tells me your ignorant and you didnt bother to read before talking shit which makes you an idiotic dumbass. The Ecoboost is a 3.5Lv6 and it puts out more torque than the 5.7iforce. Its pretty bad when a v6 outdoes the 5.7 hemi, the 5.3 vortec and the 5.7iforce. Horsepower is useless in a truck, its torque that does the talking. Those frame bends are caused by ignorant costomers doing stupid shit that the truck wasnt made for.
@AcesandTwos If you wanna look at numbers look at torque, Ford is well known for having way more torque than its competitors, they are known as the best midsize and fullsize(superduty) pickups. Torque is what determines the amount the trucks payload, what it can haul, and how effective it is at hauling uphill. By the way, the EcoBoost smokes the Dodge hemi and the Silverado uphill in the trailor hauling contest. If it means anything, the Tundra is too shitty to even compete with Dodge and GM
@Fx4Ranger2002 So wrong on the torque vs hp issue I don't even know where to begin. So wrong.....I guess I'll shop around for a 95hp 2000 ft-lb engine then.......
@AcesandTwos Go look it up, horsepower is a good way to measure the performence of a car, Torque is a good way to measure the capability of a truck. Anyone who knows a thing about trucks would know that. By the way, your not calling me out, your making yourself look like a complete dumbass who doesnt know shit. You might as well shop around for a motor like that, anythings better then that piece of shit iforce(failforce).
@Fx4Ranger2002 lolol....no for sure you are right. Thanks for letting me know about torque...its what 'truck capability' is all about. It ranks a truck high on the 'capability' scale.
@AcesandTwos I sent you a video, its proof. And yes it does, do you think a Tundra with a 5.7 liter engine getting outperformed by a v6 F-150 is capable? I sure as fuck dont. Maybe some dumbass like you who is too prideful to admit hes wrong does
@Fx4Ranger2002 prideful...prideful...anyway. You do know that torque and power are related? Power is the product of torque and engine speed at all points along an engine's performance curve....but you already know about torque and 'truck capability' and are probably to 'prideful' to be schooled by my physics lesson on IC engines.
@AcesandTwos In that video I sent you, "Toyota was revving really high but we werent going anywhere" hmmm....and your the dumbass saying that a Tundra is so wonderful when it struggles to tow a 6500lb trailor.
@AcesandTwos Tundra more reliable than F-150? You're absolutely on glue. In 2007, Consumer Reports gave the Tundra 4X4 "a blow-average reliability rating," and in 2010 it earned an "average reliability rating." I guess we can call reliable a truck that has been known to blow camshafts, the 4X4 system, and have its tailgate inexplicably fly open due to poor build quality. Just don't take that junker off road. You might snap your two-piece welded c-channel frame driving through a ditch.
@AcesandTwos The Toyota Tundras and Tacomas can even experience bed displacement from road conditions which is horrible, I cant tell you how many Toyota trucks I see with warped frames, just look where the bed meets the cab, the bed box sits several inches higher than it should on one side and exposed the plastic corner. Toyotas are for carrying tampons and gardening that gay men and woman do
@AcesandTwos Toyota also lags far behind the big 3 due to the fact they started making the Tundra in 99. Ever since they have stolen the bed box from the ram, the styling from the f-150, and just doesnt have a damn clue with the engineering. The rear diffs and frame are made from stamped sheet metal, the 2 piece welded frame and low quality sheet metal result in a horrible bed bounce. Buy a Tundra if you want some Japtrap riceburner with the torque of a 50cc moped
You know I'm probably the biggest Toyota fan, and Don't get me wrong that Tundra is kick ass. The only problem is the gas. I would hate to drive it if it only gets 13 in City and 18 HWY. I drive a 2005 Toyota Tundra Extended Cab and I love it. It never causes any problems. Mine gets 18 City and 23 HWY. I fill mine up if I just go to work and back once a week. Now if the economy was better and I had a Job working for the Railroad then I would buy it. I'm 18 now way I could by that. Haha
I personally haven't been in the Double Cab model. I would assume that the seats would be the same, it's just the amount of leg space that would be different. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks!
@bmwmsport11 If I were you I wouldnt buy one. The doublecab only gets 13mpg and the 2 piece welded c-channel frame is likely to snap if you drive through a ditch. The 5.7 iforce cannot compete with the 5.7dodge hemi, the 5.3 vortec GM and especially not Fords new 3.5L v6 EcoBoost F-150. The 11300lb towing capacity, 360hp and 420ftlbs of torque as well as the 25mpg makes the Tundra look like a thirsty fat pussy. Tundras are okay if your a fat lazy urban cowboy, but leave the real job to the Ford
The Tundra is more American than your American trucks!
