The Late Jim Healy played Jerome Brown's comments for about five years on his radio show (until Brown and his son were killed in a 1992 auto accident in Miami). Jim tried to retire the audio in the spring of 1987 but well known Los Angeles based sportscasters such as Dodger announcer Vin Scully and Al Michaels (who was at ABC in those days) loved Brown's comments so much that he kept playing the tape until Brown's death in 1992.
who won that game again? I noticed that the movie didn't mention who won that game. why didn't espn mention who won that game? what's up with that? did miami win that game? did they? no?
the reason people like myself hated miami is the fact not one of those illiterates actually had the manhood to actually strap an m-16 on their back and actually serve in this nations military,.....you dont wear the uniform unless you have earned the right to wear it which none of those wanna bes did.
@24Reference true!! but not only the SEC they end up at places like oregon, TCU, the SEC, LSU etc.....no college team will ever be able to sustain a great run....look at florida and texas...
@TheLastMonarch The best players they had during that time was the players recruited by Butch Davis. After they left Miami declined. Though the conference jump hurt aswell.
lol they played 6 times in a 23 year span, and all 6 wins, the canes were favored and expected to win.Miami's time has come, and it's not coming back.Miami isn't going anywhere with shannon. This is a ''down year'' for florida.Yet, their STILL more relevent than miami.I don't expect florida to win an s.e.c title this year,im a realist. They just have to find chemistry and leaders,so they can build for the future.I LOVE this year,regardless...no pressure.
@TheGatorfan93 You Gator fans WISH you could be as dominant as Miami was back in the 80's and early 90's. The best Gator teams would get manhandled by the best teams of the U. Even with Randy Shannon Miami still will probaly win 9-10 games this year imagine what we would do if we had a real coach.
@dvharris75 Well, florida is the winningest team for the last 2 decades,in years in which their strength of schedule, far exceeds miami's in their dominate years. And winning 9 games in a basketball conference,is far from impressive.Shalala, just wants a clean image, football is secondary. She just wants radio shannon to gradute players.
@TheGatorfan93 The Gators schedule does not far exceed Miami's. Back in the 80's and 90's all the so called good teams avoided Miami including the Gators. Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Florida stopped playing Miami because the Canes won too much. The SEC of today is WAY overrated. The SEC is top heavy with 3 or 4 good teams at top, the rest of the SEC is just average teams. The Gators winning in the past 20 years doesnt impress because prior to the past few season Miami had the best record over 25.
@dvharris75 Yes, I agree...the glory have long passed UM by. I still think they can get back to national relevance, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon. I wish the UM fans would recognize that UM is not very good and get another regime in there. Miami deserves better than a 500 team.
@TheGatorfan93 when people say florida is the winningest program over the last 20 year thats like michigan saying they have the most wins all time....a pointless stat....michigan has 1 title since 1948....titles are all people care about they have no idea who you beat in some meaningless game in 1992.
@getyoasshome You don't hear Princeton boasting about its 26 National titles from 1869 to 1935 do you??? At least the last 20 years is current history. Miami talks about its 5 NC's and it gets old. I guess Notre Dame can talk about its 8 NC's and so on. I love Miami and all its success over the years but I don't love Miami fans so much.
@knightguy11 in the last 6 months i seen how irritating miami fans can really be...i have to say they are the most ignorant fans in college football and this is coming from a DIE HARD CANES FAN...that being said i think sme miami fans have a case of what i call "alabama syndrome" when you talk to bama fans what do they talk about? 13 titles now we all know some of them are disputed and some are "claimed" titles but nevertheless they speak on 13 titles so i guess miami fans got in line with them.
@getyoasshome I will give Miami the 5 NC's, but when Miami fans say they have 6 it really is just stupid. Miami has many idiot fans and its a real shame. That school and all its great history deserve so much more than the fan base they have........its small and abrasive for the most part. Hope this Golden guy can turn it around and get them back on track. I hope they beat the crap out of Notre Dame also. Should be fun to watch.
@knightguy11 if a miami fan says they have 6 then they are just being arrogant ass holes who know very little about miami football. one thing for sure it as soon as shannon was fired it seemed like it was miami fans fighting each other...there is the bandwagon shit talking fan who just likes miami because its cool against the rational miami fan that knows what is really going on at miami....the idiot fans are the ones that make the fan base look HORRIBLE.
@knightguy11 i havent seen a mutiny within the miami fan base like this in a long time..its almost an embarrassment. ive moved beyond talking about the past achievements at miami unless that is the topic. ive even heard some say it was racist for shannon to get fired....i mean damn!!! the guy was mediocre and sending the program down a road similar to notre dame football...you cant have it both ways, you cant win titles and be idiots on the field and still graduate 85% of your players.
@knightguy11 I agree with you on some of your folks in your fanbase, As a lifelong Penn Stater, we all have our badeggs so to speak as far as fans go, but it seems like you guys still get a bad rap for the "thugish" incidents that have taken place over the years, case in point your all's game against Florida International a few years back and that brawl that ensued. I will tell you that Al Golden is a hell of a coach and a great recruiter. Guess he got those traits from his former coach, JoePa
@TheGatorfan93 florida is not coming back anytime soon they had their run....this is just the way college football is right now...you get 3 to 4 years then you vanish...texas was in the title game last year now they are losing to iowa state at home.....florida won 12 games last year now they cant beat mississippi state at home?? if you woulda told a florida fan that they would win 12 games and the very next year they wouldnt beat mississippi state at home they would laugh in your face.
@getyoasshome Well, miami STILL isn't back, they had the same record, playing in a weaker conference.I know florida has to rebuild,i know all of this,i just wished meyer stayed retired, instead of being convinced to return. He obviously didn't want to coach, and what you saw was one of the most poorly evaluated, prepared teams,i have ever seen. Its essentially a wasted year.Miami rode on jimmy johnson and davis's success...their gone.Miami got lucky, they just don't have the resources,or the money.
@TheGatorfan93 miami has no money and no miami will not be back till they start joinning the current landscape because until we have a playoff the titles will go to the highest bidder...i live in oregon and believe me if you would have told me that oregon would be elite 15 years ago i would have laughed so hard i probably would have died...they were so bad phil knight didnt even want to be bothered...different landscape these days. 4 and 5 year runs for schools are dead.
To all the other fans on here this is not a knock on you program but at the same time when you come on a Miami clip crowing about Miami & talking a bunch of garbage, compare the numbers to your team & Miami and see who wins. Yes Miami has been down but what program in any sport hasn’t. How long had it been since the Yankees won a WS before 1996? What about the 49ers in NFL? So please save yourself a lot of time.
@captkirk9797 Live in the NOW, not in the WAS. Miami has a great history, but 28-23 over the last 4 seasons with back to back bowl loses......come on. Princeton has 28 National Titles, are they relevant??? Miami has 1 National Title in 18 years.
@knightguy11 Since 1990 We had Edgerrin James,Clinton Portis,Willis McGahee ,Frank Gore, Andre Johnson and more kick ass as canes and then in the nfl what have yall done shit expect win In 1996 i dont count 06 and 08 because Boise State and utah had a better record than yall google it if it wasnt for the bcs you wouldnt win shit.
@lilzander84 You have no idea what you are talking about. Before the BCS, teams like Boise and Utah would have ended up ranked 17th, lol. FYI: I'm a Canes fan, been one for 30 years. Go Canes beat Ohio State. Also. Who cares about the NFL, although the leading rusher of all time is a GAtor(Emmit Smith), last years rookie of the year was a GAtor(Percy Harvin). Go Canes.
@lilzander84 You are 100% wrong. You may be too young to remember how it was done before the BCS but trust me many teams in lesser conferences were left out before the BCS. Do a little research. I agree with you about Ohio State. Go Canes. Have a great weekend!!
@lilzander84 What happened last year??? REALLY. Florida goes 13-1 and wins in the Sugar bowl. Miami goes 9-4 and loses in the "you name it" bowl. Miami has gone 28-23 over the last 4 seasons with back to back bowl loses. You should be humbled..
@knightguy11 Thats true but not this until 2008 florida has not beat miami in 23 years and in 2013 when we meet again miami will piss on them. i bet that miami will be in a bcs bowl this year and florida is not winning the sec this year too.
@Tropicoco123 What happened last year? Alabama won over Texas. Don go around trying to take away the credit the 06 and 08 gators deserve the kicked the shit out of #1 Ohio State and the Oklahoma a team most people believed would win the Championship? Who does Boise State and Utah play against?? Fuck em
@burner27 Last year Alabama went undefeated. Two years ago Alabama missed their chance to go to the BSC Final by losing against the gators in the SEC Final. So Utah kicked the shit out of Alabama in the Sugar Bowl? That was Alabama's consolation prize and the only meaningful game for Utah. Utah had something to prove. And Alabama did't. So who cares? Last Year Utah went 10-3. The Gators 13-1 and Alabama 13-0
@burner27 I don't know what you're talking about; I'm a Gators' fan. And I bet any Alabama fan will find the loss to South Carolina this year a lot more disappointing than the loss to Utah in '07.
@lilzander84 They had Portis, McGahee, Gore and Najeh Davenport on their roster all at once. That is crazy considering Portis, McGahee and Gore are/were NFL Starters. The only comparison that comes to mind is Thurman Thomas and Barry Sanders at Oklahoma State and Ronnie Brown and Carnell Williams at Auburn.
@knightguy11 Due to location they will rise to prominance once again. Not saying that will be soon. But how hard due they have to sell recruiting. Though once the current NFL impact dies down it will be even harder for them than now. They could be falling into the abyss. They just have to hope that South Florida and Central Florida are not able to compete long term. In any scenario they cannot be as bad as their basketball team. The only NBA Player I can think is James Jones.
@24Reference the NFL impact will never die...thats why kids play college football if it wasnt they would be playing NAIA football. miami is dying because they have no facilities a horrible fan base and no stadium...the only school i can remember that thought it was a good idea to blow up their house and move 20 miles to live with someone else in a horrible house. until miami starts investing money in the program (university and locally) it will be mediocre.
Let me say this.Miami is one of the top 10 programs of all time, period! Over the last 25+ years they have beaten any and everyone that has been great, good, bad, whatever @ the Orange Bowl or away. What other program can say that over the above mentioned time span? FSU maybe but that’s it & even they have fallen to Miami over the years in championship-type games. (CONTINUED BELOW)
georgetown with ewing and graham brought swagger and intimidation to college sports. Not these coke addled pussies, who would piss and shit all over themselves if ewing or graham got in their face.
Come on people lets all pull our heads out of our ass, most major programs act inappropriatly. The U during there dominace were doing things they shouldn't have been, Nebraska commited violations during their high time, some of them criminal and how can we leave out Pete Carroll and the good people at USC.
@DaSkarekrow No, lost 14-10 to PSU in the Fiesta Bowl. I sat in the Miami section (in my PSU gear) right in front of the interception by PSU at the goal line to seal game with seconds left........and by the way, after the fatigues fiasco, on tv they replayed the remarks and there were no racist remarks.
thanks to vinnie, the canes lost that game, his inability to read defenses and throw interceptions lost the title. did anything change in the nfl? that being said, GO CANES
@nicknaylor309 Vinnie won the Heisman, was the 1st player chosen in the 1987 draft, made 2 pro bowls, and played in the NFL for 20 seasons. Thats 20 seasons for 7 teams. Yea.........he really sucked, lol.
@knightguy11 During his whole career people were more interested in the back up. Steve Young (TB), Eric Zeier (Cle, some people thought the guy from Georgia could play. Turns out he couldn't), Chad Pennington (NYJ) and Tony Romo (Dal). Vinnie was capable of succeeding a variety of systems. Too bad he did not play with a team like the Patriots in his prime.
Yall hoes need to stop hatin on Miami. If yall do not like the U don't look at they videos.LOL yall must want yall team to be like them if yall keep on looking at the videos.
@dwadejr904 your right FLORIDA does not have a documentary..............partly because we dont rape, murder, sell dope, rape children, commit armed robbery, and gangbang! We are a school that actually has ethics you fuckin' SAVAGE animals!
@jgatorful Dude stop commentin on the U vids really dude miama is a WAYYY better skool 4 football by far nobody gives a shit abt florida football they all care abt the U
@jgatorful Wow! Died in the 80s? Won National Championships in the 90s and in '01... And I believe they do have the record for the most 1st round picks in one draft with 6 in 2004 which broke their own record of 5 from 02... THE U!
@jgatorful your a douche bag are you kidding me 3 first round picks oooo im jealous how bout the 01 hurricanes best college football team ever dominated the 1st round of that draft no florida gaytor team could touch the 01 hurricanes in fact no team ever could its all about da U
@17Manning Hey dummy, remember sept. 6 2008? Let me remind you FLORIDA 26 "THUG U" 3 so that is the last time we played and we raped you so stay of these video's and get out of your mom's basement.
@17Manning Don't live in the past buddy. Gators had 9 guys drafted this year and a couple more sign free agent contracts. You want to live in the past. Florida beat UM 7 straight years, 1971 thru 1977. Miami was 41-66 for the 70's. No bowls from 1867 to 1980. 8 bowls from 1926 to 1980, record 3-5. think about that.
@17Manning Florida beat Miami 7 straight years in a row, 1971 thru 1977. Miami was horrible pre 1980. 41-66 for the 1970's. No bowls from 1967 to 1980. 8 bowls from 1926 to 1980, record....3-5. Think about that the next time you want to bring up the past.
@knightguy11 no Miami video doesnt have a comment from this knightguy and haha wait Florida? hmmm who is doing well in the NFL from FL? Lets talk about Miami why dont you watch the probowl most of the rosters are made from the U
@17Manning Last time I checked, the NFL rookie of the year was Percy Harvin. Where'd he play college ball again???? funny stuff. I love Miami, and UM puts lots of great players in the NFL. Whoohooo.
he always hatin on miami trying to compare and trying to make florida look better than miami LOL!!! complete failure...he always trys to bring up some miami-florida game from 50 years ago....bottom line, miami has the rings and florida doesnt come close.....florida dropped miami off the schedule.
the past? you mean like florida dropping miami in 1987 and then blocking them from joining the SEC?? that past? the past like florida tucking tail? the past like miami having 5 rings and playing anyone anywhere and florida playing the citadel and anyone as long as its a 1AA team in the south?
3 FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICKS?? STOP THE PRESSES!!!!!!!!!! HALT WALL STREET!!!! oh my god LOL!!! i think miami has done that plenty of times...how about the 2002 nfl draft miami had 4 go in the first round in 2001 5 go in the first round in 2002 and 4 in 2003...CATCH UP!!!
yeah right...check the police blotter the last 4 years you'll see gators not canes all over...jenoris jenkins getting tasered damn near to death...your d linemen getting DUIs etc...
probably not but how many times has the fiesta bowl meant anything?? miami won sugar bowls, rose bowls and orange bowls.....not to mention the cotton bowl in 1990 when they beat TEXAS like a drum..
It does'nt matter what people think about The U. When football players now are asked..what is your best win you had in collage...If they played Miami and won...they say that game. Beating Miami was an Honor back then . Only few can say that they have.
Beating Miami was an honor because you knew you were basically beating a professional team whose players received illegal benefits. It made it even sweeter to beat a team full of scumbags.
So hilarious that the Alabama-Miami '93 Sugar Bowl got ZERO mention in this. I guess all these old Miami thugs demanded that beatdown by Bama get no play...especially Lamar Thomas. George Teague running his butt down and stealing that ball away was a thing of beauty.
that's because they didn't talk about anything post-'91. They just made quick mention of how the program wasn't the same. after that period A beatdown that took place in '93 would qualify.
i just call it like i see it....people continue to hate.. as soon as they heard that kid seantrell henderson was thinking about going to miami they started whining about miami and thugs...not knowing that miami is in the top 10 in graduating their players and florida is the ones that are turning into a rouge program with players getting locked up and trying to recruit players by using face book....how cheap!
@getyoasshome No Florida players are getting locked up. Lets not get crazy.(and if they were, it doesn't mean a thing anyway). Florida is one of the top Universities in the State. It's ranked higher than UM and FSU. All three schools have alot to be proud of. No need to bash any of them.
funny how you say it doesnt mean a thing because if one miami player gets a DUI you would swear the entire dade county jail is playing for miami...see the double standard? UF is the biggest school in the state....its a state school...miami is a private school. miami should never win. i was just making a point about how crazy people are when the name MIAMI pops up. people get scared when it looks like miami is going to win some titles.
@getyoasshome Notre Dame is a small private school. They have a great football history. Their are lots of private schools that have done well in Div 1 football/basketball etc. Come on now. Trust me, nobody is scared that Miami will win some titles. On the contrary, we are proud...
please, as soon as miami gets good as usual they dont even have to win half their games on the field. the games have been won off of pure intimidation...as soon as miami is a threat teams have those old images in their heads..miami has that swagger that says were better and we will kick your ass..no one has ever had that kind of swagger. thats why when they are down people try to run the score up. ND has done 0 in modern day football. the catholic church isnt running the show anymore.
@getyoasshome I totally disagree with you. Notre Dame won a NC in 1988. Your opinion of Miami "swagger" is amusing. Miami doesn't intimidate anyone anymore. I love the Canes but they haven't even sniffed an ACC title. Trust me, Miami is just another team. They can't even fill a stadium. Nobody tries to run any score up, come on buddy. You give UM way to much credit.
uh 1988 was 22 years ago and they havent contended since 1990...apparently you dont listen i said WHEN MIAMI IS GOOD, they intimidate everyone. the fact that miami is one of the only top schools whos football players are predominately black is also another reason they get scrutinized and labeled "thugs" it doesnt matter that miami doesnt get in trouble and hasnt had a scandal in 20 years they still get labeled. i dont know if you know but "thug" is just another way of saying "nigger"
your arguments are pointless LOL!! "miami cant fill a stadium" ok?...i think ive had this discussion with you before and you are still bringing up stuff that is pointless. ITS MIAMI!!! i can think of 10,000 things to do in miami than go to a damn college football game. even when the phins are winning they dont sell out. miami doesnt care about conference titles and never have....NC titles are all that matter. i give miami too much credit?? THEY'RE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL TEAM SINCE 1980!!!!
NEWS FLASH!!! the teams that are winning today are teams that havent been winning in 30+ years....texas, OU, LSU, USC etc...they just came back in to the fold this decade you are like many college football fans...you are delusional about what is real. notre dame hasnt done anything in 20+ years and even before 1988 they hadnt done anything since 1977.. texas, ohio state, michigan, florida have 6 titles combined since 1970 and miami has 5 alone LOL!!! get the picture?? stop hatin on miami.
@getyoasshome Florida is the most successful team since 1990, lol. Most wins in all of college football since 1990(3 NC's and 2 Heismans since 90, 9 SEC titles)
*Where did you get that Miami is one of the only top schools that is predominently black???? thats funny. You can have your opinion, its just skewed a littly bit. I'll be rooting for Miami to win the ACC this year. Go CAnes.
and florida is still behind miami in RINGS!!! pass the ketchup please. skewed? name another team that has dominated college football and been predominantly black especially in the era that miami dominated in...1983-1993, 2001-2004 you wont find one anywhere in the country and there will never be one.
@getyoasshome Whats up with ketchup??? Anyway, name a college football team in the top 20 that is not predominantly black. Are you serious. Most teams are predominentily black. Name a white running back in the SEC?? How about a defensive Back. You are funny with the black/white thing. NObody cares that a team is black. Trust me.

@dvharris75 Yes, I agree...the glory have long passed UM by. I still think they can get back to national relevance, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon. I wish the UM fans would recognize that UM is not very good and get another regime in there. Miami deserves better than a 500 team.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@dvharris75 How did Florida avoid the CAnes in the 80's, they played them 7x. Florida beat Miami in 82, 83, and 85.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@TheGatorfan93 when people say florida is the winningest program over the last 20 year thats like michigan saying they have the most wins all time....a pointless stat....michigan has 1 title since 1948....titles are all people care about they have no idea who you beat in some meaningless game in 1992.
getyoasshome 1 year ago
@getyoasshome You don't hear Princeton boasting about its 26 National titles from 1869 to 1935 do you??? At least the last 20 years is current history. Miami talks about its 5 NC's and it gets old. I guess Notre Dame can talk about its 8 NC's and so on. I love Miami and all its success over the years but I don't love Miami fans so much.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 in the last 6 months i seen how irritating miami fans can really be...i have to say they are the most ignorant fans in college football and this is coming from a DIE HARD CANES FAN...that being said i think sme miami fans have a case of what i call "alabama syndrome" when you talk to bama fans what do they talk about? 13 titles now we all know some of them are disputed and some are "claimed" titles but nevertheless they speak on 13 titles so i guess miami fans got in line with them.
getyoasshome 1 year ago
@getyoasshome I will give Miami the 5 NC's, but when Miami fans say they have 6 it really is just stupid. Miami has many idiot fans and its a real shame. That school and all its great history deserve so much more than the fan base they have........its small and abrasive for the most part. Hope this Golden guy can turn it around and get them back on track. I hope they beat the crap out of Notre Dame also. Should be fun to watch.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 if a miami fan says they have 6 then they are just being arrogant ass holes who know very little about miami football. one thing for sure it as soon as shannon was fired it seemed like it was miami fans fighting each other...there is the bandwagon shit talking fan who just likes miami because its cool against the rational miami fan that knows what is really going on at miami....the idiot fans are the ones that make the fan base look HORRIBLE.
getyoasshome 1 year ago
@getyoasshome You hit it right on the nose!!
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 i havent seen a mutiny within the miami fan base like this in a long time..its almost an embarrassment. ive moved beyond talking about the past achievements at miami unless that is the topic. ive even heard some say it was racist for shannon to get fired....i mean damn!!! the guy was mediocre and sending the program down a road similar to notre dame football...you cant have it both ways, you cant win titles and be idiots on the field and still graduate 85% of your players.
getyoasshome 1 year ago
@knightguy11 I agree with you on some of your folks in your fanbase, As a lifelong Penn Stater, we all have our badeggs so to speak as far as fans go, but it seems like you guys still get a bad rap for the "thugish" incidents that have taken place over the years, case in point your all's game against Florida International a few years back and that brawl that ensued. I will tell you that Al Golden is a hell of a coach and a great recruiter. Guess he got those traits from his former coach, JoePa
Rocket4Barrel 1 year ago
@TheGatorfan93 florida is not coming back anytime soon they had their run....this is just the way college football is right now...you get 3 to 4 years then you vanish...texas was in the title game last year now they are losing to iowa state at home.....florida won 12 games last year now they cant beat mississippi state at home?? if you woulda told a florida fan that they would win 12 games and the very next year they wouldnt beat mississippi state at home they would laugh in your face.
getyoasshome 1 year ago
@getyoasshome Well, miami STILL isn't back, they had the same record, playing in a weaker conference.I know florida has to rebuild,i know all of this,i just wished meyer stayed retired, instead of being convinced to return. He obviously didn't want to coach, and what you saw was one of the most poorly evaluated, prepared teams,i have ever seen. Its essentially a wasted year.Miami rode on jimmy johnson and davis's success...their gone.Miami got lucky, they just don't have the resources,or the money.
TheGatorfan93 1 year ago

So please save yourself a lot of time.
captkirk9797 1 year ago
@captkirk9797 Live in the NOW, not in the WAS. Miami has a great history, but 28-23 over the last 4 seasons with back to back bowl loses......come on. Princeton has 28 National Titles, are they relevant??? Miami has 1 National Title in 18 years.

lilzander84 1 year ago
@lilzander84 I really think Florida has been the better program over the last 20 years. Yes!!
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 Since 1990 We had Edgerrin James,Clinton Portis,Willis McGahee ,Frank Gore, Andre Johnson and more kick ass as canes and then in the nfl what have yall done shit expect win In 1996 i dont count 06 and 08 because Boise State and utah had a better record than yall google it if it wasnt for the bcs you wouldnt win shit.
lilzander84 1 year ago
@lilzander84 You have no idea what you are talking about. Before the BCS, teams like Boise and Utah would have ended up ranked 17th, lol. FYI: I'm a Canes fan, been one for 30 years. Go Canes beat Ohio State. Also. Who cares about the NFL, although the leading rusher of all time is a GAtor(Emmit Smith), last years rookie of the year was a GAtor(Percy Harvin). Go Canes.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 Yo im saying that a 13-0 team would be national champs rather than an 12-1 team. Im a true canes too fuck ohio state.
lilzander84 1 year ago
@lilzander84 You are 100% wrong. You may be too young to remember how it was done before the BCS but trust me many teams in lesser conferences were left out before the BCS. Do a little research. I agree with you about Ohio State. Go Canes. Have a great weekend!!
knightguy11 1 year ago
@lilzander84 Jajaja. Who cares about what you think fool? Google who the 06 and 08 NCAA champion is.
Tropicoco123 1 year ago
@Tropicoco123 ok thats cool but what happend last year? and you know there is no way florida will win this year.
lilzander84 1 year ago
@lilzander84 What happened last year??? REALLY. Florida goes 13-1 and wins in the Sugar bowl. Miami goes 9-4 and loses in the "you name it" bowl. Miami has gone 28-23 over the last 4 seasons with back to back bowl loses. You should be humbled..
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 Thats true but not this until 2008 florida has not beat miami in 23 years and in 2013 when we meet again miami will piss on them. i bet that miami will be in a bcs bowl this year and florida is not winning the sec this year too.
lilzander84 1 year ago
@lilzander84 OK, if you want to go back. Florida beat Miami 7 year straight from 1971 to 1977. Just sayin.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 ok then lets look to 2010 the gators will not win the sec but we will win the acc so we will be in the orange bowl.
lilzander84 1 year ago
@lilzander84 You may be right. I guess only time will tell. I'm rooting for the Canes to win the ACC. Florida has a good chance of winning the SEC.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@Tropicoco123 What happened last year? Alabama won over Texas. Don go around trying to take away the credit the 06 and 08 gators deserve the kicked the shit out of #1 Ohio State and the Oklahoma a team most people believed would win the Championship? Who does Boise State and Utah play against?? Fuck em
Tropicoco123 1 year ago
@Tropicoco123 utah kicked the shit out of alabama.
burner27 1 year ago
@burner27 Last year Alabama went undefeated. Two years ago Alabama missed their chance to go to the BSC Final by losing against the gators in the SEC Final. So Utah kicked the shit out of Alabama in the Sugar Bowl? That was Alabama's consolation prize and the only meaningful game for Utah. Utah had something to prove. And Alabama did't. So who cares? Last Year Utah went 10-3. The Gators 13-1 and Alabama 13-0
Tropicoco123 1 year ago
@Tropicoco123 and utah went undefeated in 07. i think ur just sore about that loss.
burner27 1 year ago
@burner27 I don't know what you're talking about; I'm a Gators' fan. And I bet any Alabama fan will find the loss to South Carolina this year a lot more disappointing than the loss to Utah in '07.
Tropicoco123 1 year ago

24Reference 1 year ago
@24Reference the NFL impact will never die...thats why kids play college football if it wasnt they would be playing NAIA football. miami is dying because they have no facilities a horrible fan base and no stadium...the only school i can remember that thought it was a good idea to blow up their house and move 20 miles to live with someone else in a horrible house. until miami starts investing money in the program (university and locally) it will be mediocre.
getyoasshome 1 year ago
Let me say this.Miami is one of the top 10 programs of all time, period! Over the last 25+ years they have beaten any and everyone that has been great, good, bad, whatever @ the Orange Bowl or away. What other program can say that over the above mentioned time span? FSU maybe but that’s it & even they have fallen to Miami over the years in championship-type games. (CONTINUED BELOW)

@DaSkarekrow No, lost 14-10 to PSU in the Fiesta Bowl. I sat in the Miami section (in my PSU gear) right in front of the interception by PSU at the goal line to seal game with seconds left........and by the way, after the fatigues fiasco, on tv they replayed the remarks and there were no racist remarks.

thanks to vinnie, the canes lost that game, his inability to read defenses and throw interceptions lost the title. did anything change in the nfl? that being said, GO CANES
nicknaylor309 1 year ago
@nicknaylor309 Vinnie won the Heisman, was the 1st player chosen in the 1987 draft, made 2 pro bowls, and played in the NFL for 20 seasons. Thats 20 seasons for 7 teams. Yea.........he really sucked, lol.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 During his whole career people were more interested in the back up. Steve Young (TB), Eric Zeier (Cle, some people thought the guy from Georgia could play. Turns out he couldn't), Chad Pennington (NYJ) and Tony Romo (Dal). Vinnie was capable of succeeding a variety of systems. Too bad he did not play with a team like the Patriots in his prime.

It does'nt matter what people think about The U. When football players now are asked..what is your best win you had in collage...If they played Miami and won...they say that game. Beating Miami was an Honor back then . Only few can say that they have.
esr96 2 years ago 2
Beating Miami was an honor because you knew you were basically beating a professional team whose players received illegal benefits. It made it even sweeter to beat a team full of scumbags.
BBF83 2 years ago
So hilarious that the Alabama-Miami '93 Sugar Bowl got ZERO mention in this. I guess all these old Miami thugs demanded that beatdown by Bama get no play...especially Lamar Thomas. George Teague running his butt down and stealing that ball away was a thing of beauty.
BBF83 2 years ago
@bbf83
that's because they didn't talk about anything post-'91. They just made quick mention of how the program wasn't the same. after that period A beatdown that took place in '93 would qualify.

i just call it like i see it....people continue to hate.. as soon as they heard that kid seantrell henderson was thinking about going to miami they started whining about miami and thugs...not knowing that miami is in the top 10 in graduating their players and florida is the ones that are turning into a rouge program with players getting locked up and trying to recruit players by using face book....how cheap!
getyoasshome 1 year ago
@getyoasshome No Florida players are getting locked up. Lets not get crazy.(and if they were, it doesn't mean a thing anyway). Florida is one of the top Universities in the State. It's ranked higher than UM and FSU. All three schools have alot to be proud of. No need to bash any of them.
knightguy11 1 year ago
funny how you say it doesnt mean a thing because if one miami player gets a DUI you would swear the entire dade county jail is playing for miami...see the double standard? UF is the biggest school in the state....its a state school...miami is a private school. miami should never win. i was just making a point about how crazy people are when the name MIAMI pops up. people get scared when it looks like miami is going to win some titles.
getyoasshome 1 year ago
@getyoasshome Notre Dame is a small private school. They have a great football history. Their are lots of private schools that have done well in Div 1 football/basketball etc. Come on now. Trust me, nobody is scared that Miami will win some titles. On the contrary, we are proud...
knightguy11 1 year ago
please, as soon as miami gets good as usual they dont even have to win half their games on the field. the games have been won off of pure intimidation...as soon as miami is a threat teams have those old images in their heads..miami has that swagger that says were better and we will kick your ass..no one has ever had that kind of swagger. thats why when they are down people try to run the score up. ND has done 0 in modern day football. the catholic church isnt running the show anymore.
getyoasshome 1 year ago
@getyoasshome I totally disagree with you. Notre Dame won a NC in 1988. Your opinion of Miami "swagger" is amusing. Miami doesn't intimidate anyone anymore. I love the Canes but they haven't even sniffed an ACC title. Trust me, Miami is just another team. They can't even fill a stadium. Nobody tries to run any score up, come on buddy. You give UM way to much credit.
knightguy11 1 year ago
uh 1988 was 22 years ago and they havent contended since 1990...apparently you dont listen i said WHEN MIAMI IS GOOD, they intimidate everyone. the fact that miami is one of the only top schools whos football players are predominately black is also another reason they get scrutinized and labeled "thugs" it doesnt matter that miami doesnt get in trouble and hasnt had a scandal in 20 years they still get labeled. i dont know if you know but "thug" is just another way of saying "nigger"
getyoasshome 1 year ago
your arguments are pointless LOL!! THEY'RE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL TEAM SINCE 1980!!!!
getyoasshome 1 year ago
NEWS FLASH!!! the teams that are winning today are teams that havent been winning in 30+ years....texas, OU, LSU, USC etc...they just came back in to the fold this decade you are like many college football fans...you are delusional about what is real. notre dame hasnt done anything in 20+ years and even before 1988 they hadnt done anything since 1977.. texas, ohio state, michigan, florida have 6 titles combined since 1970 and miami has 5 alone LOL!!! get the picture?? stop hatin on miami.
getyoasshome 1 year ago
@getyoasshome Florida is the most successful team since 1990, lol. Most wins in all of college football since 1990(3 NC's and 2 Heismans since 90, 9 SEC titles)
*Where did you get that Miami is one of the only top schools that is predominently black???? thats funny. You can have your opinion, its just skewed a littly bit. I'll be rooting for Miami to win the ACC this year. Go CAnes.
knightguy11 1 year ago
and florida is still behind miami in RINGS!!! pass the ketchup please. skewed? name another team that has dominated college football and been predominantly black especially in the era that miami dominated in...1983-1993, 2001-2004 you wont find one anywhere in the country and there will never be one.
getyoasshome 1 year ago
@getyoasshome Whats up with ketchup??? Anyway, name a college football team in the top 20 that is not predominantly black. Are you serious. Most teams are predominentily black. Name a white running back in the SEC?? How about a defensive Back. You are funny with the black/white thing. NObody cares that a team is black. Trust me.
