  • @sidneywatts42 i used to be lorraineable.. i do like this tune.. and it does remind me of childhood too... time certainly does fly lol

  • i loved this tune as a kid.. i still think it's tops.. wow how can any one not like it? nice one n thanks.. means alot to me this music.. n not everything in life has to have a meaning.. but this is a mystery lol

  • Nice version of this tune especially the chords in the first few bars, a little different and sophisticated compared to other versions. Bert you are a legend!

  • Happy birthday Bert for tommorow

  • Among the star guitarists who have acknowledged Bert's help in their early days through his book "Play in a Day" are :

John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Brian May, Pete Townshend, Sting, Mike Oldfield, Mike Read, John Miles, Steve Hillage, plus many more.

But he also did the score for Chirppy (1961) and worked with Ollie Beak, Fread Barker & Pussycat Wullam on Small Time, such great British talent.

  • With The King of Whiffs, Sir Bert Weedon,

there is no Jimmy Page, no Jeff Beck,

    and no Eric Clapton!

  • Good old Bert. We remember your 'Play in a Day'! Thanks for the part you played when inspiring early Brit pop guitarists.
