Yeah you do, unless your computer has a integrated one. You will need some sort of input device (microphone) so your computer can pick up your voice for the speech recognition functionality

Im from Croatia(in Europe)and evverithing is on Croatian for me,so when ever I open "Configure"It sais "Windows Speech Recognition is not available for the current display language"so what should I do?tnx

Okay one more try.

It's simple.

From word 2003 in Windows XP go to

1. "Tools" tab at the top

2. Choose "Speech" option

Then go from there for the set-up.

from my understanding you cannot because office word provides that recognition feature
