The reason SOPA & PIPA are bad is because posting video game playthroughs & even video game reviews that show gameplay, that is technically Piracy, and thus is actually illegal.

However, Large Sites like IGN (owned by FOX = Rupert Murdock) & Gamespot, etc..they would love for this to become illegal because they are large enough 2 get deals & agreements to get themselves exempted. But smaller sites & youtubers would be locked out of game journalism & gameplay reviews.

Facebook is far more stricter then youtube.. on Facebook you can't even post a video with music in it if that music is copyright protected... if you download and buy a song from iTunes and try to upload that song onto Facebook, guess what? ur vid will be taken down very fast.. it happened to me

But posting GAMEPLAY VIDEO of video games is COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT. It's mechanically the same as if you play a song....same copyright infringement.

Perhaps you aren't aware that EA and Activision get many of their game's gameplay stricken down from youtube when people get early copies...They do that now...did you know that Magneto39?

SOPA and PIPA, as they are written, make it infinitely worse.

piracy is pretty much everywhere you find a media site which allows you too publish and upload videos or music, controlling the situation would be acts like SOPA which go too the extreme.

i know what SOPA is, and i also know why people are against it, but there is NO basis for these worries... SOPA is aimed at ONLY and ONLY preventing piracy.... sites like youtube, facebook and the like will NOT be affected by SOPA... Facebook is already blocking videos that include copyrighted material... i had one of my videos removed by Facebook because i had the song "Cotton Eyed Joe" by Rednex in it...

When have Corporations ever used the letter of the law for their own selfish reasons? That is why people are in such an uproar over SOPA and PIPA. I believe its anger and fear well placed.
