great video! I'm heading to Fes in a couple days to film short travel videos of Fes and Marrakech. When I'm finished I would like to post them here as a video response. Just subscribed!
aww poor animals.. :( I know that a lot get killed so we can eat,but I don't picture them, they are food, but when I see them before they are supposed to die, it makes me sad. :(
to every culture personal space is relative to conditioning community and upbringing... I enjoyed morocco sure the culture shock hustle and personal space can be tiring at times but that is part of the experience... and every corner turned in the medina is a new sensory adventure... if you want to travel in cotton wool do so... I prefer to get amongst it all that is why we travel .... love morocco thank you for this video
I have been in Morocco 2 times. My husband is from Azrou Morocco and many of the places you show in this video, I remember so well. I must say the atmosphere there is amazing and i found the people to be very respectful and the products they make are amazing. The tannery I had seen on national geographic and so I was happy to be thee in person. It didn't smell as bad as I was expecting but that was in January also. I hope if you can go to Azrou it is about an hour drive from Fez.
I`ve been in Fez in january of this year. I highly recommend it. The last night we stayed there we had dinner in the Hotel Riad El Yacout were U2 had their composing sessions of their last album. Good food and for a good, reasonable price unless for us because at last they discovered we talk in spanish XD ( you will understand once you are there). Greetings from Argentina
@Cvillemac, you can disagree! but as i mentioned, i said men in Morrocoo, for me 90% of them had inappropriate behavior! i didn't talk about how friendly or hospitable they are! ofcourse they are very hospitable, but i don't call hitting or harassing as friendliness! i was not feeling comfortable and safe when i walk in the street, shop, or eat in the restaurant.
i just came back from Marrakech, I should admit that it's a exotic city, but man in this city are very uncivilized as they touch your body and harass you every minute you pass by in street. I also should mention that I went there alone and didn't expect people be this much uncivilized and disrespecting tourists! I do not recommend gilrs go there alone. Even if you go, just go to the sight seeing and shopping place during the day and come back to your hotel no later than 8 pm.
@yas2man am morrocan and am woman you must had a bad experience with bad pepole like evrywehere in the world and morrocans are like everywhere you have bad and good but morrocco is a great contry with interacting and modest helpful pepole
out of all of the videos i have seen this is my favorite! i miss fez so much, i stayed in the old part right outside of the medina and fell in love with the city! i cant wait to go back!
Very, very interesting. Your video brings back some memories. The tanneries were really something, and what a powerful smell. I remember taking a photo and looking down into one of the vats to see it literlly filled with blood and maggots. Beautiful video and great footage using HD really adds to the quality.
I cannot believe that ridiculous vids on youtube get millions of views and this has less then 200. Oh well, there loss..... I totally appreciate your vids and love the narration.
Haha, hope you bought some perfume or spices! That tannery sorta looked a little creepy to me. Such a bizarre city though, it looks rather... traditional but there are so many modern things mixed in.
This made me think on travelling there in Morocco as a family. A definitely nice video!

From my perspective, I totally disagree. Moroccans are some of the friendliest people on the planet. I am sorry you had a bad experience.

Well said. That's because many people would rather watch crap instead of interesting material.
