I'm planing on being an Air Force fighter pilot. I feel safe knowing that the PJ's will move heaven and earth and save my bacon or die trying if I have to eject in enemy territory.
I find it amusing how an close to every PJ video a comparison is made to the SEALs. To me this just says that no special forces even compares to SEALs.
@TheElCaminoMan2010 I think BUDS has a similar exercise, something to do with a candidate's confidence under water. I've seen it in an old Discover channel program about prospective SEALs.
Some of the training is (or at least was 25 years ago) done in conjunction and according to the same standards. The rest is different as they train for a different mission.
Actually as someone who had the good fortune to be allowed to go through both, they are at the same level of hard as hell in different ways.... I loved and hated every minute of each, and though I am no longer in the military take pride in both of those ensignia that I earned, though the Pararesue always sits higher over my heart... God bless all my brothers who still serve and those like me who have to watch from the side lines
@SEALHopeful28 Its harder than SEAL training in my opinion. Not only is it equally if not more physically challenging, but also they have to be pretty much doctors.
@FullyNimble Yeah man part of the training used to be an alpine goat with up to 3 bullet wounds and you had to secure it and take it on a 15 mile hump keep it alive the whole way and evade opposition XD
I'm leaving this year for SERE Specialist in the Air Force, and after that contract is up I'm doing Pararescue. Can't wait, especially after seeing videos like this.
I swear dude, Air Force personel are seriously the most proudest, intelligent, hard working people I have ever seen. I have been thinking about joining the military for some time, and my friends keep telling me to join the Army and not the "CHAIR Force".Let them take a look at this video and call them the Chair Force now. I have been wanting to the PJ thing for quite some time now, but never beleived I could. But I am dedicated. and I will do it!
I f you want to be part of this career field I can only recommend you one thing " TRAIN" . In order to pass S.E.R.E. training you must be in an excellent physical condition. Do not wait until then to improve your physical condition ... get ready now!

So that others may live. What if your being shot at?
l3yrdman 7 months ago
@l3yrdman Every PJ is prepared to give his life for his brothers in arms, hence the motto "That others may live".

Very close. USAF doesn't drown their men like Navy does to their SEALS next to death just to learn to trust their teammates.
TheElCaminoMan2010 7 months ago
@TheElCaminoMan2010 I'm pretty sure SEALs don't get drowned.
