As a fellow Christian who found out you are a Young Earth Creationist, I was wondering of one thing. It is clear that 2 versions of creation occur in the first 2 chapters of Genesis. Where in chapter 1, animals were created before Adam, but in the second account, Adam was created first and was given the task to name all of them. Bible scholars have recognized this. Friend, study the Old Testament's track record on how accurate it predicts things, then compare it to how well science predicts things. I know you like believing in Jesus, but the sad truth is that "prayer" doesn't work and science does. Try getting your message out just by sitting at home praying to Jesus - doesn't work does it. What I actually did was ask a question. Which you dodged, preferring to regurgitate that tired verse from John. All those nasty things are permitted, or required, under Mosaic Law. Modern Christians make the excuse that Jesus abolished that law. Are you aware we are under a New Covenant with God? Jesus came and kept the whole of the law (Mosaic, Ceremonial, Civil) He didn't abolish them, but fulfilled them. This means that every law we can't keep is in Him. There's also a historical and grammatical approach when interpreting the Bible. Hermeneutics is a very important indicator of how one views and interprets scripture! Furthermore, if you are not saved then spiritual things are not understood. (1 Cor. 2:14)

This is but one contradiction in the bible, and you only requested one to recant your belief structure. I have many others. Either God told Abraham to kill his son or not. If you maintain God didn't really mean it, then it is a contradiction and a lie. You can't have it both ways. Did he mean what he said; or not? How about a clear answer this time?

God also tempted Adam, Satan had nothing to do with that; God tortured Job, and he was the most holy man on the planet. God tortured him for Satan's pleasure; and if it was to prove a point, prove a point for who? Why would God care what Satan thinks? You want Contradictions? The Bible my friend is one long Contradiction. So when will you be coming over to our side? Since I have provided you with several contradictions. Are you true to your word?

Funny then that he coveted, murdered, committed adultery, stole, made false witness, lied, cheated...

(1 Samuel 15:3, 9). When David was confronted with his adultery and murder, his answer was simple and straightforward: "I have sinned against the Lord"

God made this statement based upon the Doctrine of the Wall which once stood between Himself and man. Dealing with redemption, Expiation, Regeneration, Propitiation, imputation and justification.
Now, I am not going to explain this to you but you would be doing yourself a tremendous favor to find a church that teaches the Bible according to the H.I.C. technique so that you can learn what I am talking about. not enough time
