In the original storyline Tifa and Zack only met once. Around that time Zack was with Aerith. Cloud had a crush on Tifa when they were little, so he left to join Soldier hoping he could impress her. He never really made it into soldier. He became friends with Zack. Zack died. Cloud lost his memory. He met Tifa again but didn't recognise her, and fell in love with Aerith later. But Aerith also died. Later he got his memory back. Now they're "just friends", but do live together.

I think that thanks for aerith she did heal cloud because she was thinking that, it wasn't right time to cloud to let go from chance to live not die. or something like that i can't very well explain it. Both denzel and tifa have a cloudy wolf ring. Tifa's is on her right ring finger while denzel's is hanging on his necklace. Square never really mentioned it having any meaning. A lot of people speculate it symbolizes family (cloud's family). They do focus on there's more.

Barret has one too but you see it if you pause the movie at the right moment. I think thye only gave him one because he was wearing a lot of rings anyway, so why not throw one on there? XD Or marlene gave him her ring.

Barret, Cloud, and Tifa have the wolfy ring. Cloud gave his to Denzel who is wearing it around his neck on a chain. The wolf symbolizes a heavy burden that they each are carrying. Read "Case of Tifa" to find out about Tifa's burden which has something to do with the fact that she was a part of Avalanche and they got many innocent people killed when they destroyed the reactors of Midgar. Has nothing to do with love.

well recently, a remake of the movie came out, called Advent Children Complete. there are a lot of new scenes in it ;) including Cloud who's actually bleeding, Zack giving him a peptalk, Denzel's story, such things ;) it's really cool :)
