  • everything on super high and AA at C8xQ on nvidia gforce gt 230m i get 60-100 fps o;

  • Lucky i get less than half that on my pentium dual core

  • This game is so light to play.Capcom makes good ports for pc.I have ati radeon hd 4670 1GB AMD Quad core direcxt 10 and play it at super high AAX4 1360x768 resolution and still make 80fps XD

  • @95928225 For the average computer this game is almost impossible to run

  • my fps only goes up to 10 or lower

  • how do i get mine to not lag all my stats are good but my gaming graphics are 3.0 if they get better will the game go faster

  • Aw, I just ran this on my computer and I only got an A because test 2 averaged 59 fps. I was running 1920x1080, 8x aa, and maxed other settings. Running a phenom x4 and a ATI HD 4850. Test 3 and 1 averaged over 90 fps though.

  • 7:25 lol Poor Nero he is like OMG GET LOST!!!

  • Hmm. So do I need a good video graphics card in order to run DMC 4 smoothly? Because I have the game and when I installed it into my computer it runs very slow. Especially during the gameplay. It's like playing in slo motion. o.o

  • Having a recent computer helps. And no integrated graphics crap. You can try lowering the settings too. You didn't even mention your computer specs lol.

  • Well the thing is...I don't know how to find out my computer specs. ^^; I'm kinda a noob when it comes to configuring my computer.

  • Nevermind. I just figured it out I think.

    Emachines

    W3102

    AMD Sempron(tm) Processor

    3100+

1.81 GHz, 384 MB of RAM

    Physical Address Extension

Most likely I probably can't do a thing about the lag. Oh well.

  • well, do you have pci-e slot? search it it up in google images, then open your pc and identify it. if you do, you can buy a 4670 and 2gb of ddr2 ram and run this game no problem.

  • Performance Test ues DV plz...

  • What are you trying to say? LOL

  • sigh i can't play it with 32 bit, directx 9.0

    I need 64 bit, directx 10

  • Not true. I was running the game on Windows XP 32-bit with DirectX 9.0. You just need a somewhat recent PC (with a decent video card; no integrated crap).

  • Can anybody tell me the name of the last song?

  • The song played at 8:23 when the results are shown is called "Total Result", according to the DMC4 OST.

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH : )

  • mate, i need some help. I'm not really a geek when it comes to graphic / memory n stuff like that. I play on low detail for everything (shadow q etc.) n i put the thing on 800 by 600. When i record it with my camtasia 5, the video of it is very sloow and it skips a lot. If it wouldn't bother u (or ne1 who plays pc) can you help me to record the gameplay goo? thx

  • ps: i play on a laptop, vistta. Reason i put the game to 800-600 is because it runs faster

  • and 1 more thing, what should my settings for my camtasia recorder 5 be?? like the frame rate / seconds, compression n stuff. Any help appriciated.

  • Camtasia should only be used for recording stuff on the desktop. 3D games like DMC4 should only be recorded with programs like FRAPS. You can find a free demo at fraps(DOT)com.

  • we were almost the same fps .. if im full and max settings.. 30-35 fps

    if i remove the anti-aliasing its 60 - 70

and im running dmc4only on my laptop..

    acer 4530.. amd turion 64x2

    4gb ram

    512mb geforce 9

    256 dedicated

  • dose this work on vista

  • Yes.

  • hey...you got high performance cpu....

  • So many people have the new graphic cards. I'm still using an old ATI graphic card. (Discontinued)

    RADEON 9250!

  • 30fps??? i recorded my final fantasy 8 on fraps at 60fps ???

  • You can obviously set it in FRAPS. But there is no point in recording more than 30 FPS, because YouTube (and most videos in general) is limited to 30 FPS. And FF8 was released almost 9 years ago, so any computer now that can't run it at 60 FPS is obsolete.

  • hmm, so more fps is better quality right?

  • Well, more FPS just means smoother playback. It is essential when gaming, but for watching stuff, 30 FPS is just fine. In fact, TV is at 24 or so FPS.

  • thank you.

  • i got 30, 25 fps :/

  • haha i only get 8 frames per second, in low settings

  • No difference between pc and ps3 ?!

  • I think the PC version can look better, especially since you can change the resolution.

  • but wat for a pc would u need for this....

  • If you mean what kind of PC you need to play DMC4, you can check out the official system requirements here: vgrequirements(DOT)info/?p=7629

The specs of the PC I played it on are on my profile page: youtube(DOT)com/KevynT

  • i downloaded the demo now :) i got 60fps with full settings.

  • Awesome!

  • The PC version has enhanced graphics and extra modes like "Turbo Mode" and "Legendary Dark Knight" These modes were not available on the consoles since they could not handle the extra speed / extra mobs. The PC however can.

  • If you have a decent computer. The load times will be better, higher resolutions, higher shadow and texture settings and cutscenes can go up to 120fps!

  • I'm well chuffed! Got an S ranking at 1920x1200!

    Average 160fps.

  • i get abt the same fps as u on maxed everything aswell as AA.

  • i get 180-200 fps on very high but when i put the MSAA to c16xQ thing it goes down to 100-110 fps y wtf is MSAA?

  • MSAA is an acronym for multisample anti-aliasing. You know, it's the thing applied in PC games to smooth out the jaggedness of diagonal edges and such. Of course, it would have a significant impact on performance, especially at higher resolutions, because more video memory is used. And don't forget, Google and Wikipedia are your friends.

  • oh my rez is lowered to 1440X900 over the 1050X1680 aswell.

  • I am loving this game so far.

*Without fraps running I can make my system run with an S ranking but I lowered the Msaa to 16X and using DX9 over DX10 for now everything else is maxed.

    Spec

    Nvidia 8800 GT X1

    Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 3.2GB

    4 GB DDR2 800MHz

*note - playing with the infinities I can make it run a little better when frapsing

  • I have a constant FPS of 60 or 75.

    Specs: radeon 4870, Q9550, 800MHz memory.

B rank on 60 FPS and A rank on 75 FPS.

All maxed out and resolution is limited to 1280x1024 by my monitor.

    Referring to description:

DMC 3 was in some ways better than this. You should try that game if you aren't spoiled by the good graphics :)

Also in my opinion Crysis has much better graphics than this game, although this game looks awesome as well.

  • Nice, your PC is pretty recent! Yeah, I think I'll try DMC3 when I get the time. I also really like Crysis's graphics too, but to get the very high settings with a high resolution requires a very powerful machine. Even though most computers run the low to medium settings just fine, the game looks awful compared to how well DMC4 scales.

  • I agree that medium in Crysis is much worse than DMC4 maxed out. But my PC did enable very high on 1280x1024 in Crysis ;) Although Vista x64 is apparently required for that which won't make a lot of people very happy.

  • LOL, Vista x64 is NOT required for very high settings in Crysis! I ran very high settings with XP x86, but since my video card is pretty weak (8800GTS 320mb), it doesn't run smoothly at 1680x1050. All the marketing with Vista and DirectX is STILL bullshit; there's almost no difference between very high DX9 and DX10! For more info and my sources, check out Tweakguides(DOT)com.

  • I get twice the performance in DX10 1680x1050 than in DX9 when I run this benchmark! (All maxed out)

  • Nice! Yeah, I have read that DX10 has shown performance increases over DX9 in some games. But as for image quality, they're still more or less the same.

  • Especially when the rendered scene is more complex (shadows/lights/other effects)!

  • well, the only games where u can tell the difference between dx9 and dx10 are in the games that were originally made FOR PC, not ported to PC from consoles.

Try Crysis. Big difference between dx9 and dx10

    or FSX

  • Lol, yeah, that's kind of true. I've played Crysis (check out my vids), but I'm still disappointed by the lack of optimization in the graphics (unlike in DMC4). The differences between DX9 and DX10 are subtle and performance in DX10 on Vista is still somewhat sub par to DX9. But Flight Simulator X looks good, but it's also an unoptimized lagfest (the last time I tried it) and not my type of game.

  • Actually, Crysis is probably the best optimized game out there. It's just that it requires a lot to show that level of optimization. If it were badly optimized, then you would get about 20-30 FPS on the best of systems.

Although, Warhead did outperform Crysis in terms of performance, it wasn't a lot - mainly because there wasn't a whole lot left to be optimized.

Other games seem to perform better than Crysis - but that's simply because they don't require as much as Crysis.

  • Ah, you do have a point. The game engine in DMC4 was first used in Lost Planet, which was originally released for the Xbox360 in January 2007. Since that engine is mainly designed for consoles, I suppose it explains why it seems to run so well on PCs. Ha, pigs will fly if Crysis is ever released for current generation consoles...

  • my average fps is 180,90,130, 90 with everything set to super high and c16x msaa.

    spec...

    e4300

    8800gtx

    2gb rams

  • i mean 130, 90, 180, 90

  • Fucking intresting, fucking intresting. His FPS = 30 because Fraps limited it to 30

  • Looks like SOMEONE has been busy lately. This is what you have been up to asshole. =(

  • ASSHOLE?! LOL! No.
