  • You said exactly what was on my mind. You rule

  • I really LOVE you. Really!!

  • I want to have your little tattooed babies. Or at least just practice.

  • dude you are my hero.

  • Slayer!

  • I love your rants! Thank you!!!

  • if ur middle classes keep their insurance, then ur health service will do really well. in the uk the gov thought our middle class would keep their private health care, they didn't, and the NHS was swamped for the first year. It's all good now, even if it is communist, its better than what u have. Anyway i have to go and pick up my free new glasses, then go to the orthodontist to have my free braces fitted then go to the pharmacy to pick up my free prescription, then, oh fck it, u get the picture

  • i'm better than you.

  • I read 'IT', it fucking pissed me off too.

  • In the immortal words of Eric Cartman AWESOME! Totally had to share this with my twitter friends.. Just too cool! In some odd way it reminds me of William Burroughs.. which might be impossible to explain but.. I don't.. just awesome

  • Well I agree with you on a couple of things

    1. The gov. is never telling us the truth...they deal with half truths and spin to get there agenda passed. That is if they even read the bill that they are pushing. It is up to us to inform ourselves.

    2. SLAYER

  • I love you man! ...You Rock!

  • EXACTLY!!!!.....LOVE THE VIDEO....

  • i would like to thank MOST of you for keeping this comment area civil.

i would also like to thank most of you who come from obviously "conservative" leanings who have managed to hold back misdirected vitriol.

(and keep in mind, i'm a staunch Libertarian)

but what i would like to make clear, once again - perhaps thru another video - is that idiots are monopolizing the news media and, as a result, detracting from the larger issues - the TRUE issues - with the use of reactionary buzzwords.

  • The funny thing about this whole debate is the champions of this bill are acting like health insurance is a right..

    HA!

    It's a financial product!

And how about the huge number of people who don't have it and don't want it?

Still have to pay for it?

How about raising protest because 95% of Americans won't be properly prepared for retirement? Did n't the government try to fix that? I wonder how well that has worked out.

The majority is against the bill, so there is hope.

  • So in this guy's world, government run healthcare isn't moving the country in a more communist direction, but Social Security is. Hmm..

Does he somehow think they will get running the healthcare of 30+ million people right when they can't run a retirement account?

He did get one thing right- SLAYER!

  • You should do these rants more often.

  • That was an awesome rant. I really like his delivery, editing and some of his points are great...but I think he is a little misguided. He said he hasn't read the bill, but it does destroy competion leaving only a govt option. I've read that section! He is pissed about Social Security and it's failure to do what the government promised, yet wants to let government control his body as they did his social security?

  • What section are you talking about? There is no section that destroys competition.

  • Page 16 line 10-16 states that if you get a job at a job with private coverage you CAN NOT be enrolled in private insurance after the bill is in effect. line 21-26 states private health care can not change any coverage. If you change jobs, loose your job or the company changes your plan, you will be forced into the public option. The bill also imparts several mandates that will shop them out of business. You can't COMPETE with another company that has no budget to work within.

  • Even those opposed to this bill who understand it and previous health care legislation will tell you that employee based health insurance is one of the biggest problems with the current system. Not to mention that the coverage is almost always atrocious, but it creates an unfair advantage for larger companies, and drives up prices. If more people had to go to the private market to get health insurance it would be much more price sensitive and would, therefore, be much cheaper.

  • I never said we should keep things the way they are. I agree that we should get rid of employee based plans! We can easily enact plans like car insurance. Everyone can get it regardless of jobs. That would create competition to bring prices down. The government could give tax incentives to those that need help. Finally Tort reform would lower the rates doctors have to pay and therefor lower payments by patients.

  • Look there's some free market solutions out there, but none eliminate that fact that private health insurance companies need to make a profit. That will always be a source of ineffeciency in the system. And because they don't produce anything, the profit incentives don't add value the way they would else where.

Health insurance is not like making cars, it is more like banking, and a consumer is much more likely to get a good deal at a credit union than at JPMorgan Chase.

  • If it does destroy all competition, doesn't that mean that it was better on all competitve priorities (quality, response time, price), and that we would all be better off having the cheapest, highest quality, most responsive health care system?

  • Go buy enough cans of coke to fill a 32 oz glass, figure in a profit for your time and effort, then set a price for your drink. Now set up shop outside a McDonald's and try to compete with a large company with a much bigger budget. You can't compete and still survive. The same goes for competing with a Government agency. They aren't concerned with making a profit, so they can out price any business. They can also create mandates that will shop them out. That is the intention of this bill!

  • How do you think Farrari stays in business?

Honda produces much cheaper cars, with a much larger budget. You don't need to compete only on price, there are 8 other generally accepted competitive priorities.

And I could easily compete in that scenario if I bought the syrup in quantity, and one machine to carbonize and add water to it because I would have much lower overhead and virtually no wasted inventory.

  • I have no idea what you mean by Ferrari. Are you saying that private insurance will be way more expensive than government insurance, but much better.

There is no competeing with a government plan. Especially if the bill states that any time you change jobs or your insurance company has to change something in your plan, you MUST switch to the government option. That is not competition! Not even close.

  • First of all, there's several pieces of proposed legislation out there, but nothing finalized yet. I highly doubt, that there is any wording, in any version, that EXPLICITLY says so and so must choose the public option. One version in the senate is proposing a penalty for people who remain uninsured, so obviously that will always be an option.

And what I meant about Ferrari is simply that they don't offer the best price, but their product is preferred by many.

  • So tell me what section in HR 3200 destroys competition? Sec. 102. Protecting the choice to keep current coverage. Seems like you are little misguided sir/madam. If you have a current coverage throgh your employer..this bill doesnt even affect you. I am waiting for your reply. PLEASE BE SPECIFIC with section number and page number.

  • Yes, because there is an easily misread clause that states anyone that changes jobs can not go into that companies private plan, they must take the gov. option. It also states private companies can make no changes to their plans, if they do, you are pushed into the government option. Finally, many private employers would love to dump the expense and will drop their private plans. So even if you like your private plan, have your same employer, you will end up in the gov option.

  • Page 16 lines 10 -20

you must enter the gov option if there is ANY change in employer or insurance covreage.

    Page 145

employer MUST enroll employees in public plan NO CHOICE.

    Page 354

Government restricts enrollment of 'special needs' people. (coverage for everyone?)

    Page 241

Government regulates Dr.'s pay, regardless of the specialty. ALL paid the same.

    Page 253

Government determines the value of doctors time and judgement.(Government opinion is more important than your doctors.)

  • I know where u got that from. There is a site opposing health care reform something called line by line analysis some shit like that. I was just hoping that u were little smarter to do self analysis than copy paste scare tactics from garbage websites.

  • Actually I did read several parts of the bill and just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean there is not truth behind it. If you think like a lawyer, a congressman, or a leftist liberal it is easy to see what they are doing with this 1000+ page bill, no matter which of the 5 you look at.

  • Obama wants a Government option plain and simple, he has said he will not pass any plan without one. Most of the health care a person receives is in the last year of life. If you are going to cut costs, then you are cutting that treatment. It is easy to just say NO to any opposition, but by using some simple analysis of the consequences of these bills, you will reach one conclusion...it just may tak esome people a few years to realize it...

  • like once they are lying in a hospital bed wondering what happened to the perfect health care plan that was totally free to everyone receiving it and paying for it.

  • Pg 145: Correct analysis: Emplyoer contrubutes to the employee health benefit plan and emplyee decilens the emplyer benifit plan and CHOOSE to participate in exchange participating health plan, the emplyoyers shall make a contribution in the health insurance exchange and for that SERVICE OF AUTOENROLLMENT is provided to the EMPLOYER

  • Pg 354 Correct Analysis: This section deals with the Open Enrollment Period. It allows people to enroll in the plan during open enrollment and no later than january 1st OR during a SPECIAL NEED. It allows people to enroll in the plan at the TIME OF DIAGNOSIS of DISEAS. so yes mr. COVERAGE for EVERYONE

  • Pg 253 Correct Analysis: This entire section deals with the evaluation of service provider and techniques and mothods to be use. Govt.

  • Ohh one more question. Have you EVER heard any federal employee or member of congress complaint about their health care??? I NEVER HAVE.. SO SIR/MADAM..if it is good for them..IT IS GOOD FOR ME...

  • If you read the bill:

    1) no private citizen will be going into the Federal plan with congress! Sorry!

    2) After reading about how people will be forced into a government option at n\any change to private care, there is a clause that states any congress member can recieve a letter of approval from the secretary to be opted out of the government plan (allowing future representatives to move into the Federal plan!)

They want to force it on us, but won't take the same plan for themselves!

  • This town hall fiasco really shows how really and terribly uniformed american society is. Sad, whenever one of those "angry" people go on TV for an interview (You, know...having to really explain yourself instead of yeliing out one liners) they are stomped. Democracy is an illusion without uninformed people. Silly ass people.

  • My man is boss!!

  • All Insurance CEOs HAVE EXCELLENT HEALTH COVERAGE & can afford it. AGREED?

All Senators HAVE EXCELLENT HEALTH COVERAGE & can afford it. AGREED?

All Senators are covered by a PUBLIC OPTION PLAN but SOME dont want YOU to have a PUBLIC OPTION PLAN !!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE ??

Only in the USA would an uninformed Consumer protest against REFORM & PUBLIC OPTION and in so doing PROTEST AGAINST HIS OWN BEST INTEREST!!

WHO BENEFIT ?  Not YOU

WHO BENEFIT ?  INSURANCE CORP!!

  • You know what cracks me up about the health care protesting idiots. . . . their argument is essentially "THIS NAZI President is going to inact an evil communist plot to make the government take over health care, and JESUS FUCKING CHRIST he's gonna cut MEDICARE TOO!!!! "

    Idiots.

  • Ha! So much for a polite exchange of ideas. Your argument is essentially that anyone that opposes this plan is stupid and just claims 'communism.' Well you are only claiming 'stupidity,' not much more educated in your response.

  • 3 of 3: ...by scrapping the current method of providing insurance to cover everything - even the most routine procedures, in favor of something entirely new (that would incidentally require a strong Federal hand in aligning the state-by-state regulation of insurance and would probably decimate the current health insurance/provider network complex as we know it.) IMO that's the heart of the real debate. Everything else (especially the idiot news coverage) is noise.

  • I think you are about right.

    MY health care reform proposal:

    1. More primary care physicians in practice and fewer specialists.

    2. Make MORE healthcare be out of pocket. That would actually FORCE transparency and efficiency.

    3. Shore up the way that the system treats people who DO have emergencies. You shouldn't be financially ruined because you get cancer. You shouldn't pay thousands of dollars for an ambulance ride. You shouldn't get dropped from your insurance because you need it.

  • Throw in some well designed tort reform, and you'll be good.

And my proposal, if we found ways to incentivize and regulate the system to make it happen, would totally fuck the healthcare industry as it is. Like any for profit biz, they make money on inefficiencies. Our system is astoundingly inefficient.

  • 2 of 3: What's wrong with US health care? Lots. Affordable access for basic care seems like a goal that most would agree is in the best interests of all participants in the US economy. Given that, the question then becomes one of how to make that possible - whether it's by modifying the current system to achieve lower costs (with the implicit agreement that employer-based health insurance is going nowhere) or...

  • 1 of 3: The only real credible criticism of the current proposals coming from the Dems is that they don't go far enough in addressing the underlying structural reasons for the massive costs associated with providing health care in the US. Simply calling a plan "Communist" or "Socialist" certainly misses the point and is likely evidence of an inferior mind at work.

  • John,

I'm pretty sure he's not really jumping around, but instead using a video technique of quick edits and cuts. You must sell film equipment or probably snuff films. And Dr. Grosz is actually 1/2 black.

  • Yeah! And let's get rid of VA health care, the police, and the fire department too! Get the government out of fire fighting! And the post office!

You piss these guys off because they know you are right.

  • Comment removed

  • Enjoyed every minute of this.

  • Oh great, the guy in this video smokes so if we were to have government run healthcare i gotta pay for his expansive cancer treatments

  • all i can say is AMEN.

  • The the government run post office isnt a good item to be projecting your communist ideaolgy i mean they aint doing so good and it seems like every year they are asking the government for BILLIONS a year not to mention federal express and others are doing good and they arent government run.

So i guess with the facts pointed out you're going to delete this cuz well how else will you try to garner support other than lieing and silencing right?

  • Mmmmm Hairy?....You're a moron.

You didn't understand one word this man said.

Oh, and learn to spell, punctuate and construct an intelligible sentence.

PS text message speak is not a language.

  • You didnt awnser anything i said or quote what you thought was an awnser, you just insulted me........Hmmm......The democrats are doing that alot lately apprently they think people are children and should have big brother in every part of there life.

    P.S. You Failed.

  • Wow you really are an idiot.

Well some needs to pick up the trash.

Good luck with that minimum wage job you're always going to have.

  • Oh, lindo there you go again judging people that you do not know hmm... well that presents problems when going up against then as the democratic party knows (Socialists)

  • The post office analogy works. First, it is a clear example of govt offering a service well without undermining private companies offering the same service. Plus, it's probably the case that competition created by the USPS has kept prices at private corps. reasonable. There are several reasons why the USPS is losing money but the question is would they apply to public health care? There's no reason to believe they would especially since part of the reform package is cost reduction.

  • Well if i'am hella in debt but i want to be bailed out i should just go to the government and get a bailout but fed ex and others cant do that but the post office cant so this shows that shovelling money into a government run failure cannot and shouldnt be sustain when we know where its place has led in the competetive market place.

And your right there are many reasons why they are losing money

    1:employee pay

2:labor unions in the post office cost more than .80 towards them

  • And they even admit they are spending more on what they get in, no reasonable corperation would do such a thing cuz nobody would let them borrow money but hey they are government owned what they ask for they get so far.

If you want a socialist gov3ernment run healthcare bureaucracy expect this and dont use the post office as an example of that but i understand what the man in the video was trying to say interms of who hasnt used the post office.

  • That's it, don't argue the facts...just start calling people names. I guess you don't know what is in these bills enough to actually debate them. Hairy is far more educated on the topic. If Liberals took time to look into these things they would be a little less angry about criticism and more interested in giving the TRUTH that supports their opinions instead of just reverting to name calling

  • Just because you have an agenda, and the free time to go hunting down any piece of "evidence" that you can twist and misconstrue to support said agenda, doesn't put you any more in touch with the truth.

  • I have to agree... with the last two seconds. -> Five stars.

  • Socialists everywhere cry when people call Obama's policies socialism.

  • I have seen Obama called a communist, a socialist, a wannabe emperor, and a Nazi. I have seen almost every type of deceptive, racist, and fear-mongering tactic used against him. One thing I have yet to see: a single constructive counter-proposal. Not on the economy, not on healthcare, not on foreign policy. Not one. PS - Slayer rocks.

  • I'm going to guess that the depth of Jimbo's criticisms end with more inane labeling/name-calling, stopping short of an actual analysis of what's wrong with the present health care system, why the changes supported by the President won't work, and what can be done to improve the impoverished state of health care in the U.S. This seems to me to be more the point of the rant...

  • i'm really looking forward to the comments, actually. have a ball!

(and i didn't start ingesting the latter half of the periodic table until i hit puberty. and i did so on purpose)

  • I have a sense the YouTube comments on this video have the potential to be amazing. Thanks for starting it off Jimbo. Your childhood home obviously had lead based paint.

  • three: i'm far from "left wing." trust me.

fourth - yes, President Obama had a white mother. are there any other poignant facts you would like to raise, or should i just quote public enemy?

fifth: slayer loves you... even if you refuse their kisses. seriously. they miss the warmth of your body on their futon.

  • first off i hereby claim "Magic Negro" as my new nickname.

secondly, the point is that it ISN'T communism. and you are correct, it IS closer to "socialism" but it's not exactly that either. BUT you happen to watch the american news media, all you will see is swarms of angry old white people yelling "communism" in their town hall meetings. that's where i get the word from, jimbo.

  • first off i hereby claim "Magic Negro" as my new nickname.

    priceless!

  • Communism is the government institution of socialism. Who's confused?
