That wasn't a three layer stencil. It's an optical illusion that you experienced. The "grey" eye was actually the same color as the rest of the black. You made it darker than the rest of the black. ;)
holy shi realized this all on my own. well i am an artist but, you forgot to mention that the colors you choose all relefts your level. and to also add a marker do draq in real stencils on walls, just like banksy
you're supposed to do the lighter colors first so the darker colors dont show through (especially if ur doing it real fast on some wall). that's what i have to do with my screen printing or it looks washed out. if not, u have to wait for it to dry before u do it the next layer.

You can either make an island from the eye to the other part that is not cut out..or which would be better, it to have another stencil designated for the eye part and you just spray the eye over the exact part the black part of the sprayed part was.
