Actually, guys, making Dacia a skirmish faction is actually the best way to win with them. Skirmish armies own the roost.

Even from the rear Romans are very nearly impervious to all missiles, and stationing your archers at their rear will leave them susceptible to cavalry charges. Skirmish type armies, however, are a very effective way of getting a quick and easy win, but they can be pretty unfair, and I usually lose to them.

one thing that bugs me about people who use rome on multiplayer, is that they always spam urban coharts. sure they are one of the best units. (in my opinoin urban coharts are the 2nd best units in the game) I've seen from experience Spains bull warriors, when used right are the best there is. i love em. prince i'd like to see you use spain somtime in the future. I never got a gamecard when I bought this game, I got the 3 in 1 package (Rome, Barbarians add on, Alexander add on) and there wasn't one :-( I would love to play people online. Shame.

Your not alone. My box also came with no booklet (AKA manual) and the CD key was nowhere to be found. I searched the whole box and i saw a place where the CD key would have been, but it just was not there and their were no signs of something being torn so it came that way. And it was strange seeing the clips that hold the booklet to be empty.

Depends on your historical intrests. First i should say that Empire has the best graphics and Rome the worst. But aside from that its what you like. I played them all, but i play Rome the most.

Medieval two if your talking about the graphics is, at max settings, about the same as empire on low. But you can guess the time period by the name and as in gameplay is a replica of rome, but has cannons which require a line of sight and will blast friendly units if they stand in their line of fire when they are firing.

In the main menu I believe you go to Options -> Video Options and there should be something that says Advanced Options, check the box and you will see a few things you can change like unit and terrain quality and such.

It was actually extremely overpowered. He had so many Horse Archers and foot infantry. Luckily for me, he didn't know how to use them properly. Plus, I got that drop on his Horse Archers on the other wing.

But if I was using the Dacians against that Roman Army, I wouldn't lose more than 100 men (maybe even less).

while the purpose of spamming archers is mostly to try to take out a multitude of you're opponents soldiers it's a bad idea in all. most archers are weak and are vulnerable to melee soldiers but then horse archers are horse archers so in this case it's an invalid argument. then again his infantry did not suffice for his archers. but then we all saw that in the end of yet another great video didn't we? =) keep it up PoM
