nice song, great layout and if I didn't know any better I think you like the god ol' Cat's such as myself that is my kind of layout I am still working on mine
I made that lil rig truck. It used to be a White RCMP truck. I painted it white primer, hand painted the CN logo, and the welder is just a little piece of balsa wood painted up to look like a miller. The oxy-acetylene was from a model kit.
Nice layout and nice video too. I don't know if you're into it, but adding some weathering would make your trains look more real. I live a block from a CN yard and hardly ever see a clean train or one without graffiti.
I just started to experiment with weathering and graffiti, I got a bunch of old cars and buildings that I'm trying weather up. The next video will have some of these cars, and an old steam engine all done up.
It was actually pretty affordable. Most of the lumber, and insulating foam I picked up from construction site scrap piles. I only paid about $140 for building materials. Track and wiring cost around $450. The most expensive part is the models, so i scratch built a lot of stuff. Anyone can start a basic 4x8 layout with a nice track plan for as little as $100. If you want to know more, let me know!
No , i got most of the yards and sidings insulated and running on switches to my power pack & booster so i can some what maintain multiple engines. the booster also allows 3-4 engines at once with out overloading. The system will be full dcc in a couple months.
so you just barely broke the rate meter.
