bt most of those pictures were of the navajo code talkers after a point in ww2 they stopped using the commanches because their language is writable and not enough my grand father is full crow but talks navajo and crow he was a code talker his name william yazzie
I saw the Monument for the first time one night at the Comanche fair last year and it literally moved me to tears. Maybe it was just the glow from the lights, but I stood there looking at it for 15-20 minutes before I ever raised my camera. Everybody was watching the dancers, so I had no distractions, and with the distant sound of the drum, made it an experience I will never forget. One of the coolest things I have ever seen.
