@kelvinteng1991 English is not a special language, as long as whoever you "hypnotizing" understands what your saying it will work. Although do not try and do this the first time..... It is best to learn more simple ways of hypnosis then work up from there.
@rgaines154 I learned how to do hypnosis by studying and practicing for several years. I have condenced much of what I have learned into a 2 hour DVD course that teaches instant and rapid inductions, and provides an strong overview of the fundamentals of hypnosis. You can order a copy of the tutorial DVD set here: KC2XL(dot)com
@p3sek: Because hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that people experience several times each day, it is not necessary for your clients or volunteers to know something about hypnosis to be hypnotized successfully. However, helping your clients or volunteers understand certain aspects of hypnosis makes it easier to hypnotize them in most cases.
I remember that day I was in that class. It was hilarious when KC made me none stop laughing. After the presentation I felt like I slept 4 a week straight.
The student was experiencing hypnosis induced by a rapid induction. What you see in this video is a natural reaction to hypnosis. None of it is acted or rehearsed.
I get invited to this high school to lecture about hypnosis, the mind and motivation 1-2 times per year. During my lecture, I demonstrate hypnosis then come back the following week to discuss how the students can use concentration for motivation, sports, academic success, to break free from peer pressure and to build confidence.
thanks for your lengthly response. It sounds like you know what you're talking about. I started studying NLP and self hypnosis, meditation a while ago, but I am still fairly new. would you recommend any resources?
Oh, one more question, how powerful is a tool is language? I can imagine that results vary from person to person since everyone has their own 'meaing' for each word..
Language is a very powerful tool if used concisely and with purpose rather than sloppily and aimlessly.
Yes, every person tends to imbue words and phrases with personal meaning. However, there are many words and ideas that universally hold similar meanings (literal, connoted or symbolic) such as "Sleep", "Dream", Religious Symbols, Non-Religious Proverbs, etcetera
If you stick to universally understood, simple language, it makes communication easier, especially during hypnosis
The depth of hypnosis depends on many factors including but not limited to: the techniques used by the hypnotist and the client's natural level of suggestibility (ability to respond profoundly to hypnotic language/suggestions). In other words, the depth of the hypnotic state is not necessarily a funciton of the speed of the induction. Rather, it is the construction of the induction and the client's level receptivity that matter more.
so if i dont see any of the signs do i just switch to a differ method or throw another rapid induction? and ive checked out alot of ur videos and i have to say they are quite impressive
There are many things to consider while doing an instant or rapid induction. The main mistake I see new hypnotists make is relying on following a script or a step-by-step list of instructions without understanding the reasons behind what they are doing.
In order to be able to consistently use instant and rapid inductions effectively, you should first take time to thoroughly learn the basics. For example, learn what signals people naturally give just before entering the state of hypnosis.
he's great, probably one of the best, he got banned from so many casinos all over the world since he used his hypnotis and NLP skills on the casinos staff, haha. he made so much money with cashiers in dog and horse races. i tried some of his techniques with my friends and it works so well.
Very nice. I'm currently learning hypnotic inductions, and as I learn them, I practice them. This seems like a very interesting one to try out... I might just see what I can do to "fill in the blanks".
If one looks only for the quickest way do hypnosis, then s/he might make the mistake of imitating what is seen without taking time to thoroughly learn the theory and reasons behind various actions.
My YouTube videos are designed to be a study guide, but not the lesson. Some hypnosis skills are best left for the classroom where people are able to learn fully (and correctly) what is being done, rather than merely immitating what they see in the videos. So, parts are sometimes muted.
In order to build confidence, you need to learn the reason why an induction works and then practice it on people who volunteer/agree to be hypnotized by you. The more you successfully hypnotize people, the more confident a hypnotist you will become. So, don't wait for confidence to suddenly appear--go out and build confidence by doing hypnosis and by learning from your successes and mistakes.
How do I wake a person up after putting him or her into sleep using hypnotism? And what happens if I leave the person hypnotized and I walk away? Will they be hypnotized forever until I say wake up?
"Waking" a person from hypnosis is a detailed proccess because the hypnotist must:
(1) Ensure that the volunteer has fully returned to an acceptably alert state of mind
(2) Ensure that all non-therapeutic and/or non-motivational suggestions have been removed (particularly recreational suggestions).
If you walk away from a hypnotized person and stay away indefinitely, he/she will eventually return to the state of full awareness on his/her own either after sleeping or directly from hypnosis.
one time i went to a show of a hypnotist named kreskin and I remember him muttering something really fast to the people on stage aand a few seconds later they were hypnotized. can you tell me if what was muted out would make sense to someone in the classroom hearing it?
Depending on what method is used, a by-stander might fully understand the words being spoken by the hypnotist without realizing the presence of strong hypnotic language patterns and suggestions that are directed toward the volunteer who is being hypnotized.
Chrismallyon, thanks for bringing this point up. I agree. I recommend that new hypnotists work with general acquaintances such as classmates and teammates. Until a new hypnotists learns more about rapport and how it affects the hypnosis process, it's generally a good idea not to hypnotize close friends and family members.
As a new hypnotist you should learn to build rapport from scratch. When you work with close friends and family, there are pre-set and deeply rooted social status levels and pre-set rapport which might, if not understood or addressed properly, interfere with the process. For an exaggerated example: a young child using a direct, authoritarian approach with a parent generally will be unsuccessful at hypnotizing the parent. However that same approach with an acquaintance, might work beautifully.
Until you understand how to address various rapport and status levels, I recommend that you work with volunteers who are as neutral as possible such as acquaintances (general classmates, people you know casually from work, etcetera) that know you but are not family or close friends. This will allow you to focus on pure hypnosis and basic rapport building rather than dealing with the difficulties of status and pre-established rapport.
True that you say that I have a tough time hypnotizing my fiance'. Ive been having a tough time with this, i get her in a progressive relaxed state but she doesnt go into delta state or sonambulism.
This is a tricky question because the answer can seem odd unless you read the whole thing carefully:
1. When I first started, my inductions did not work regularly--I was learning.
2. Once I began studying resistant client hypnosis I learned how to hypnotize difficult or resistant clients by combining various techniques and approaches, impromptu.
3. I don't always use rapid/instant inductions. I use many other types of inductions and techniques, depending on the client.
My inductions just about always work because if I start with a certain approach that isn't effective, I know how to immediately calibrate the situation, assess the client and draw on other techniques to apply in order to bring the client into a state of hypnosis.
Hypnotizing someone is not difficult—it's quite easy, as long as you mentally have at your immediate disposal a large library of techniques and an understanding of those techniques. (Continued below)
This is why I tell people they should learn the basics. Many people attempt to hypnotize others by copying only the motions and words of a rapid induction—which is a big mistake. Without understanding and being able to appropriately apply the details of rapport, expectation, hypnoidal induction, calibration, adjustment, etcetera, a person will continue to have difficulty hypnotizing people consistently. There's far more to a successful induction than saying a few words and doing a few gestures.
There are always going to be times when an induction doesn't work for various reasons.
So, no, my inductions don't always work, but that is a rare circumstance; and any hypnotist who practices can experience the same level of consistent success inducing hypnosis.
Yes, he would either emerge directly from the state of hypnosis or he would fall asleep and wake up later.
How long it would take him to emerge directly from the hypnotic state or to move from hypnosis to sleep, would depend on several factors including the depth of hypnosis and his perception of the environment (quiet, noisy, comfortable, etcetera).
HOW DO YOU DO THAT I MUST KNOW...if u make a dvd i will buy it i will evan pay u if you make a dvd or make a book...that is sick i will pay any amount (that is reasonable)for this trick.
I first asked the students to define hypnosis. Most of their definitions mentioned sleep, relaxation and mind control (obviously media influenced). Next, I addressed general myths (mind control) and facts (state of relaxation/concentration). Then, I asked for one volunteer for the instant induction. I wanted the students to be able to observe and experience hypnosis without my too finely pre-defining it, so they could discuss their individual experiences during the lecture portion of the class.
I taught 7 class periods one week, and 7 the next. So, as the day went on the first week, each class was progressively more eager to be hypnotized based on what students who attended the class before them were saying about it. This helped build strong expectation.
I have a question here,is works in other language?
