Great great idea! Thanks. I'm searching on eBay for the self-adhesive rubber strip, and all I can find is 'neoprene' rubber strips. Is this what you're referring to? Would you possibly be able to post a link to an auction with a similar sealing strip as the one you're using? Thanks!!!
Thanks! I also found this self-adhesion rubber strip (vacuum gasket tape for clamping) from this guy at Veneersupplies(dot)com --> He claims it's made for vacuum suction. I think I may try the neoprene
Excellent videos, excellent setup. You could use the peg board as a drill guide however. This way you'll end up with nice evenly spaced holes and a sturdy surface at the same time. Keep up the good work!
@jamesbruton opps didnt mean the shift thig u ow how the best reslut for silicone latex is to vacuum seal it to get all the air pockets ou.iwas asking ifu can makeshift sealer for that perpuse alsothier another method of self castfor bodey parts except for the hands
Any chance you could improve on the sound volume in your movies - better microphone and closer to where the sound comes out? Maybe I don't have to max out every volume control. ;-)
@e5frog I'll look into it, but I've only got the volume up about 25% on my USB speakers and they sound ok to me. Basically If I watch your videos the sounds it about the same level also.
@e5frog Works fine to me. I've watched James' vids on my desktop with headphones on quite low, and on my laptop which has relatively poor speakers. Maybe the problem lies with your speakers or your Youtube volume control.
Can I buy the heater from ebay?

@matthewjamesroberts That's what I used, but you could also try draft excluder strip from a DIY store

@e5frog
While the sound quality is certainly not high, I find it adequate, even when watching videos on my 4g ipodtouch (shudder, crap speakers)

You can draw up to 30 amps in the U.S. it just depends on the circuit breaker.
