  • Get a roof guys, unless that's part of the training, slippery friction and all that. You shouldn't really be laughing during sparring, anymore than laughing in a fight. Though laughing during sessions is great and having a nice positive spirit like this guy does is great. 1:25 "let's say hello to the ladies" was actually pretty good.

  • @ComicBookGo what ur saying would make sense if it rained everyday but UHH..you sound SILLY.and you shouldn't be laughing during sparring WHAT?????you must have never sparred in your life....i guess you should sparr angry because thats how your going to be in the fight...LMAO STITCHES...learn a lesson young FOOLISH GRASSHOPPER...THE GOOD FIGHTERS FIGHT AND SPAR LAUGHING BECAUSE WE ENJOY DOING IT..IT'S THE SCARED PEOPLE WHO GET MAD BECAUSE THEY DON'T REALL WANT TO FIGHT

  • @52blocksinfo Wanna pick a fight huh? Lookit my post, I was totally respectful and gave an valid point of healthy critisism. But if it's a fight you want, lets humiliate your ass on the youtube. 1. I've sparred hundreds of times, so did Bruce Lee and all pro fighters: they and I still enjoy it without laughing. So yer bullshit of good fighters laugh in sparring cuz they enjoy it is WRONG. A person can enjoy somehtin w/out laughin. 2. No one said U shud spar angry GRASSHOPPER..cont-

  • @ComicBookGo CONT-...Me and Me never said sparr angry, so that's your second ERROR DUMB FUCK. Dont put words in my mouth cuz I'll jam it right up yer fuckin ASS. 3. Raining once, or raining everyday, doesn't matter: unless it's part of the training (friction) there is NO sense in doing it in the rain. 4. I'm sick of you immature bitches who can't handle truth and or sensitive to the slightest critisism. Wish I cud meet you fuckers and we'll face down. Shut U "keyboard warrriors" UP.

  • @ComicBookGo you said all that to say you wish you could meet up...LMAO EMOTIONAL YOUR GETTING UPSET AND WE ARE JUST TYPING...LOL..THIS IS TO EASY YO BIG BABY...SOUNDS LIKE YOU GOT TEARS IN YOUR EYE...AND YOU AIN'T DOING NOTHING HOW ABOUT THIS IM IN TOMPKINS SQUARE PARK COME HERE AND ILL WILL LAUGH WHILE IM DANCING ON YOUR FACE...

  • @ComicBookGo AND STOP LYING...you sparred a hundred times your name is comicbookgo i look at your PAGE NOOOOOOO FIGHTS LOOK AT MINES BIG BABY GOLDEN GLKOVE WINS...BELTS...MATTER FACT I HAVE VIDS UP FIGHTING AND sparring wheres yours...GO READ A BATMAN COMIC BOOK...BIG BABY THATS YOUR NEW NAME AFTER THAT MESSAGE WOW I REALLY GOT YOU EMOTIONAL

  • @ComicBookGo an i see on your PAGE YOU GOT THAT MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE RARE COMIC..AHAHAHAHAH...and you have sparred hundreds of times there is no fighter who has sparred a hundred times and has nothing up...you probably was talking about HE-MAN HE HAD ALL THE SPARRING MATCHES

  • @ComicBookGo besides that your screen name is COMICBOOKGO...we are not talking about the power rangers and x-men over here..but your right in the comic books when they spar they are never laughing

  • I do 53 blocks

  • What do you do when you get dumped on your head and punched in the face?

  • @blasglampe wow...sounds like you may know from experience..after you wake and if your cranium isn't cracked then you learn how to FIGHT,THATS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO...LOL

  • Sensitivity training (Wing Chun) is a tremendous advantage over anyone when engage is close combat situations.

  • @curtisb3000 SO true..

  • And blessed is he who has great friends to laugh and train in the rain...I trained in Wing Chun Do back in the 90s...it is effective and there is something to the sensitivity training and I have more of an awareness and feel when rolling in Jiu-jitsu or boxing...however, none of these things, I believe are "Stand Alone" arts...Lee told us these things decades ago before the term MMA was even spoken...thx for the video..I really enjoyed it..you all look like men with good and great heart..

  • @boxboz67 CHERCH...thank you

  • Indeed this is good stuff! Good training! Good people!

  • Well u seem like nice guys...keep winning :-)

  • @toroga1 true story..thanks for the comment...LGD

  • these are the guys joe rogan was talking about, right?

  • @toroga1 NOPE..WE COMPETE AN WIN...

  • @toroga1 I think Joe Rogan was maybe talking about Novell Bell A.K.A The Black Taoist =also black also based in New york,, He talks a lot more about chinese kung-fu and Dragon Palms etc because he represents Bagua,, these guys represent 52 blocks which doesn't have any kung-fu lineage attached to it.

52 blocks has some kind of african american/jail/streetfighting story behind it.

  • Sharpes sticky hands ain't half bad! I like the bong sao/arm drag to body shot, to lop sao and face rake. When I do this move I replace the body shot with a horizontal elbow, backfist, pak sao small disengagement, straight blast punch. There are just so many options of the drag. Also i like how he let up on the pressure to feign openings he easily closed off. Of course this was a drill however and no doubt the purpose. Good stuff! keep it up.

  • I just love how this sifu is laughing and having fun while doing the sticky hands drill . This was basically the way Yip Man was when he was teaching this drill . Unfortunately nowadays you see way too many of his descendants being too serious in sticky hands .

  • That's what I like. Laughter with my Sticking. Too many people are way too serious about something that's meant to be a sensitivity drill.

  • @shniddles SO TRUE....laughter works well with training...and from your comment i can tell like myself you are a student of the arts...thankx for the comments....LGD

  • @52blocksinfo Thank you. Prefer to think of myself as the "Forrest Gump" of martial arts. One Love, Brother.

  • not the greatest chi sao...need to be moving in forward at all times...and the guy on the left is disrespecting his center by shifting his horse way off from centerline, easy to trap your hands brother

  • This shit is garbage waste of time, a jujitsu fighter would take you out in bout 7 secs not to mention a true kick boxer.. Hate to burst your bubble.

  • @brutusbruno See only fantasy fighters like yourself say crazy crap on youtube.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 Go watch some ufc, and tell me if you have ever seen this garbage, lol, Get with the times son.

  • @brutusbruno LOL UFC is a sport with rules. And I not your son, you must be a hardcore fan and watch to many movies. Just like a typical keyboard warrior, STFU.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 Stay delusional I dont mind, Lol... Get Fucked SON!

  • @brutusbruno Typical talk from a keyboard warrior. I guess your feeling tough on youtube.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 Division 1 Wrestler x 2..nuff said. Stay delusional..

  • @brutusbruno Well come here to Baltimore at the gym I train. Would you like for us to pay for plane ticket?

  • @brutusbruno WHOA...garbage...OUCH...i guess it would mean more if you knew what you were talking about...THIS IS A TRAINING METHOD IDIOT...DOES A WEIGHT LIFTER TAKE THE DUMBELLS INTO A FIGHT WITH HIM OR DOES HE USE USE WHAT HE GOT FROM THE DUMBELLS??wing-chun builds skills that you will need in real fighting...

  • @52blocksinfo This may work well against your girlfriend, good luck with this shit when I shoot in on a double leg and put you on your back. Stop watching the kung fu movies and open your eyes to what has been proven ineffective..Go watch some early gracie jujitsu tapes proving it.

  • @brutusbruno LMAO...YOUR NO GRACIE...SHOOT IN..AND DO WHAT?? RUN INTO A LEFT HOOK...HAHAHA..what you are watching is TRAINING METHOD IDIOT...THIS IS NOT THE FIGHT.... AND THE FACT THAT YOU THINK THAT A TRAINING METHOD IS THE FIGHT LETS ME KNOW YOU KNOW NOTHING....you probably think the men who lifts weights TAKES THE DUMBBELL INTO A FIGHT WITH HIM..

  • @brutusbruno i bet you never even competed...or even been in a real fight

  • I noticed that Roberto often looked to the left or right instead of directly at the opponent. is this part of the art? I've Sen this head movement before and am just wondering.

  • Lyte your brilliant!

  • @millionstylesboksing RESpect...

  • @jaiharman1 and @52blocksinfo Real Talk is anyone can talk all day but they can't walk. If you two ever cross path it's nothing wrong with having a sparing session. I think you two both have amazing knowledge. And thanks for sharing your videos.

  • @jaiharman1 and @52blocksinfo Everyone has there own opinion on things and that will never change. If you guys feel the need to meet one day than go ahead. Again my opinion it does not matter where you trained and how long. Seen people who have trained in China for years get the crap beat out of them. Its never about the style but it's always about you.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 I AGREE..its not bout the style ITS BOUT YOU

  • @jaiharman and @52blocks Maybe you two should try exchanging some stuff. It's all about helping each other out. By the way I think both of you have some good knowledge.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 I agree....i disrespect no mans knowledge especially if you don't know the man...but when somebody..makes a comment from the start such as he did..YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO BACK IT UP WITH PROOF..not talking..have a true fighting record,,but your right arealmartialartist1..there is no need to continue with that..thankx for reminding me...LGD

  • @jaiharman1 and @52blocksinfo you two need to relax. I will say there is a Chinese style of wrestling called Shuai Jiao. I will disagree on one thing and that is training in wing chun with a master does not make you a good fighter. Again if that persons lives in china and has trained with a (Master) that does not make him a good fighter. I live in Baltimore and met people who trained in China for years and they look fancy but can't fight for nothing.

  • @Arealmartialartist1 real TALK

  • Something immensely beautiful & powerful about a teacher who can laugh aloud respectfully while playfully tossing around his students with devotion to teaching & his art, oblivious to the pouring rain. Good for him. Good for his students.

And notice how much more centred his body is so that he doesn't need to drastically change his height or stance.

  • Roberto sharpe is the truth

  • I thought he was a capoeirsta...anyway cool vid.

  • What I see here is love for fighting. Hung gar guys who only trade hands with other hungar fighters are often shocked when they fight on the street because of the speed of some of the fighters on the street. Akido guys who try to get an arm bar or a wrist lock on a boxer or wrestler often get emabarrased when the oponent is too fast or strong to be manipulated the way it goes down in an Akiso class. Many of the Hungar and Akidoist have adapted to this but by training hard and testing themselves.

  • You guys are getting a bad rap with this fantasy killers thing. I see you training with a real internal master in the rain... that says a lot. You seem to want knowlege from people who are tried and true not just Dojo dragons who have never fought anyone outside of their style. A lot of these guys lear, practice and fight people who are in the same style. When they are faced with someone who fights with a different aproach, harder contact, and in a free flow enviornment they fall apart.

  • I really enjoyed watching the smooth transitions from Wing Chun to Tai Chi. This really conveys the importance of cross-training in different disciplines and how it enhances a martial artist's personal style and adaptability. I like Mr. Sharpe's eclectic approach to the martial arts. Fantastic.

  • GOOD SHIT MAN LOVE IT

  • That is a really nice Chi Sao demonstration.

  • kung fu wing chun style

  • They are really having fun!! GREAT!

  • WHERE DO YOU TEACH AT I WANNA TRAIN

  • @izzy73123 tompkins square park mr.roberto teaches there too

  • damn

  • dude on the left sux balls, his first time at sticky hands?

its insutluting to think he has such a great teacher yet, learns so little...eh who cares

  • @sizzla123 You may think that he sux balls till you try him. If you talk the talk, then walk the walk. You know what I mean?

  • @labrae how do you know i havent.

fact is i have been all over this world, universe and other dimesnions.

i have studied the montu arts for over 20 million years.

asia to africa, india to russia, i have lived in many of these earth domains.

from sirius to systems unknown to you.

so yes, i do believe i know what you mean.yet i doubt you do.

    lmfao peace

  • @sizzla123 whaT????t mister roberto would wing-chun slap you around...YOU KNOW NOHING....

  • @52blocksinfo right back at you.

ignorance is bliss, you must be overjoyed.

allow your stupidity to to let some air to your brain.

its obvious i was talking about the moron on the left with the terrible coordiantion.

the rasta is awesome. no inveatigation no right to speak!

  • @sizzla123 ok pardon me...then the guy on the left would wing-chun slap you around...LOL

  • @52blocksinfo No wing chun in this video. seems more like a bastardized, self-taught style mixed with ghetto chauvinism. You cannot take out something from a complete system and still use its name to teach it. You cannot add to a complete system and use its name to teach it. What I saw was elements of wing chun with no skill and very little understanding of the techniques being used. So how exactly would you "wing chun slap" anyone is beyond me. Stick to your Chinese Kung-Fu training manuals.

  • @jaiharman1, Can I get a head count on how many people never practice Gong Fu and only wanna talk about what's in manuals, and what's not Wen Chun, what's not Tai Chi ...The Tao has no name, has no form, so try to be righteous. There's a lot of love in this "ghetto."

  • @TheThreeTreasures Another Gigga.... Who cares about your definitions of martial arts. How many times have you visited the source of the arts? how many times have you got down and dirty with a "REAL" master??? or do you just practice with people who have practiced with people who took a lesson from someone who went there? all the people in this video no nothing about Wing Chun other than some extremely basic stuff all applied with errors. Are you telling me I'm not aloud to point this out?

  • @jaiharman1 well there are lots of people doing tai-chi just for the health purpose and not for the martial aspect and its still called tai-chi...you foolish..what about wu-shu...an why is is ghetto because we are black?why don't you come show this un-bastardized style you think you know...and the way you talk i hope you are chinese an come from the village where wing-chun was created....

  • @52blocksinfo Big man........ lol, ghettos all over the world, nothing to do with black or otherwise.. you are foolish. what I mean is you are doing a style that I would call, "the poor man's martial art" where people cannot afford to travel to other countries and learn the actual art in its entirety but learn from people who also have very little experience in it having to bastardize it. I've spent 22 years leaning martial arts and many of those years using it fighting in real life. Amatures.

  • @jaiharman1 an i hope thats not you in that video..FOREAL...your skills lack much...so more training less typing...LGD

  • @52blocksinfo That comment just re-asserts my opinion that you know dont know what you are talking about and also you know nothing about the "Asian" arts.

  • @jaiharman1 yea...just as much as you aying wing-chun IS A COMPLETE STYLE..I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WING-CHUN WRESTLING...a complete style...LOL..it has no real punch range..an i mean real punches not that nonsense i seen in your videos...

  • @52blocksinfo Have you ever been to China? I doubt it. Have you ever studied from a Master who has lived (not traveled) but lived in China for a number of years? I doubt it. That is why you didn't know that Wing Chun does Incorporated Wrestling, and also a ground game. The wrestling (first known wrestling style other than greco roman) is called Shuai Jiao and the ground game with locks and submissions is called Qin Na (also way before BJJ or Judo) as for punches. I've KO'ed every real opponent.

  • @jaiharman1 you sir are a kung-fu joke...I HAVE NEVER SEEN WING-CHUN WRESTLING IN MMA..and are you saying you have to go to china to learn kung-fu????????..an you have knocked out all oyur opponents yet nobody has ever heard of you...SURE YOUR RIGHT...an i REMEMBER WHEN MMA STSRTED AND THEY HAD A WING-CHUN FIGHTER HE GOT KNOCKED OUT BY A KARATE FIGHTER..LMAO...HEY when you get back from china stop by ill show you some real wing-chun

  • @52blocksinfo Get back from China? I live here, I have lived here for many years and teach Chinese people Wing Chun. Like you could show me anything.... You watch the movies I have helped with. Like YipMan 1 and 2, Kung Fu, Wing Chun etc... Yea you know shit about it. Donny Yen, Sammo Heung, Yip Chun the list goes on... You...... Mehhhhhh. Ti(kick), Da(punch/hit), Shuai(wrestle/sweep), Na(grapple/lock). These are the elements of all Wing Chun lineages and pretty much all Kung Fu styles.

  • I really enjoyed this video. It reminds me of training with my oldheads who are way in their 60's. I get smacked around just the same, but I learn in the process. Keep the old head in your corner, they provide that insight we haven't grasped yet. Osu.

  • in all the vids that i have seen with sharpe i must say that i dont favor this one. i respect him though as a martial artist is just that he does chi sau an injustice. anyway, he ought to put some sneakers on before his toe nail get flipped up like the hood of a car.

  • @opticannon Huh?

  • @labrae his techniques are not in accord with the chi sau exercize. and by wearing sneakers i mean to say that sometimes your foot gets stepped on and or kicked in such a way ( accidental or malicious) that it can literally peel your toe nail up off of your toe.

  • @opticannon why are they not.....all those medals i won doing chi-sao i would say you don't know what your talkin about

  • @opticannon and its chi-sao

  • @52blocksinfo not according to my si gung moy yat who carved the chops that contained the ving tsun idioms. that until late were to be found in the museum....most official universaly accepted scholar and artist; beholder of the lost art of seal making ( rest his soul ). he told me its chi sau, then its chi sau lobster cantonese style.

  • @opticannon ok.. shrimp fried rice and moo go gai pan to you..my teacher yip man told me you know nothing about wing-chun...lol

  • @52blocksinfo lol, isnt moo goo from szechuan province and shrimp fried rice a chinese placation to the american construct. perhaps there is more wisdom in what you said. i would look deeper still. annnnd if youre making fun of me for qouting my si gung well then....lobster cantonese is the most expensive thing on the menu you know. its seasonal too and from what i understand a....cantonese...dish. hmmm? lol ya heard. alright cool.

  • please tell me what the connection of wing chun and 52blocks is

  • oooo extra slippery!

  • great vid, i knew wing chun had to have had an influence. Especially seeing a different vid where you were doing infighing drills inside of a barred area about 3-4 feet in length & width (another great vid). I love how mr. sharpe seamlessly transitions from sticky hands to push hands & still controls body movement (w/out any negativity & superiority). He seems like a truly nice person, very rare nowadays. thanks for the vids, keep at it!

  • King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of Judah, Jah Rastafari.

  • Hey Lyte, I think you and Roberto should write a book on your experiences and take on different combat styles.

  • I really love that guy with the dreads! My heart is just melting! He's got such a gentle, soft-spoken manner about him, but a warrior to the core. Thank you!

  • @worryphree Say, wuuuuuuuuuuuurd........?

  • Chi Sao, eh?

  • @TenteixSaigo yes SIR

  • @52blocksinfo Greetings Mr. Lyte and Mr. Sharpe...hope to meet Mr. Sharpe and learn from you Both when next I visit New York from Atlanta...I truly admire you guys fore you are True Jedi Masters if ever there were such....hope you guys are also skilled at the Art of Angling because I'm bringing my fishing gear too next time. Ha!

    *Excellent Video (as always!!!)* Oorah!!

  • How is this 52 blocks and who is the number one? Real 52 does not need wing chun. This proves 52 is an invented style.

  • @lordhriley confused on that one????your right this is not 52blocks...its wing-chun

  • @lordhriley What I am saying is 52 blocks is the name of your personal kung fu style which you are trying to make into jail house rock? Why not just say this 52 system is my own personal style developed from the styles I studied instead of saying this is the original 52 blocks practiced on the streets of New York?

"There is some truth in advertising"

  • @lordhriley personal kung-fu i'm confused once again???do you know wat it takes to create a style????an where do you think i'm from??on the streets OF NEW YORK BLACK MEN WHERE INTERESTED IN HIT AND DON'T BE HIT THATS IS 52 NO MORE NO LESS.there is no other style that you talk of that was used on the street an if so WHERE IS IT???52 blocks was fist fighting its not egyptian walking, black superhero's..it is the practice of defense

  • @lordhriley the same moves i use is the same moves JACK JOHNSON,ARCHIE MOORE,CHARLEY BURLY,PURNELL WITAKER,SUGAR RAY ROBINSON,SUGAR RAY LEONARD,FLOYD MAYWEATHER,ROGER MAYWEATHER,GOERGIE BETTON,EDDIE FUTCH,...EZZAAD CHARLES...so no moves have to be made up great fighters before me have already laid the blueprint...the original 52 done on the streets of new york is called(DRUMROLL)....FIST FIGHTING.thats it no black magic

  • @lordhriley an slapboxing was a way brothers played with each other....it is not 52 in the real fight..nobody in my hood or anywhere else in NY when in a fight used slaps while the other man was trying to knock you out..it was all about knowing how to use your fist...back then they called it KNOWING HOW TO USE YOUR DICKBEATERS...LOL..so just in case you didn't know i was there when 52 WAS BIG..FAR ROCKWAY QUEENS...new york

  • @lordhriley Thankx for the comment...lgd

  • @lordhriley

isn't any style simply an invention from other learned previous concepts?

  • @gorillagripcatchclub Yep, it sure is.

  • Chi Sao in wing chun but in other styles u got the same with different name also knowed like sticky hands
