  • one of the most beautiful and smart dogs i have ever seen!!! great job man !

how much a good dutch shepherd puppy costs ???

  • Great video! I have a shepherd, who looks just like your other dog in the video. Her sister looks more like Belgian Mal- what is your other dog? Also Dutch? German Shepherd? Thanks!

  • Man I love this! I have one named Hammer I protection trained. he's a beast! But his OFF lease ob is NOTHING like this .lol

  • thats unbelievable!!!!!!!! it looks like a sweetheart!!! im actually trying to get one. i used to have a german shepard female, and it was the greatest dog i ever had. i always keeped her active by do flyball, frisby, and just doing simple tricks. is there a big difference in temperment between a german shepherd and a dutchies? and do they have the same health problems? i really wanna ket one

  • Would six months down from a broken leg be worth the risk try having to keep him down for that long because of his broken leg or legs

  • climb

  • Wtf are you doing you piece of shit.. you should be in jail for the rest of your life for treathing a dog like that!!

  • @LarsieBoyNL lmfao wth did he do? the dogs having fun

  • i must admit the harness drop does look proper terrible to your normal pet dog owner or your wannabe trainer (APDT) but these are working breeds and im sure they are very sound, well adjusted and well rewarded dogs. dont fret, no animal cruelty required!!

  • Idc if you guys are dog trainers if that dog had thumbs he'd be a best trainer than you guys

  • i'm a dog trainer and yu are too stupid and dangerous !!! thats all

  • Damn there's a lot of ignorant comments here.

First of all, Dutch Shepherds are highly intelligent working dogs. If you don't reach it tricks, it will start misbehaving out of frustration. This is both good physical and mental exercise for the dog and strengthens the bond between owner and dog.

Second of all, this breed is often used by police and as a rescue dog; trained dogs will be flown out to other countries to find survivors of earthquakes and such, hence the harness training.

  • @ZaynahZiho there are much safer ways to get all this done with your dutch Shepherd? One slip done is not worth it!

  • @nuttman2 Not everyone has access to professional equipment all the time, if that's what you mean. And one slip and they're done? They're not made of porcelain. A dog that is physically in good shape, for example by training them as shown, will recover from minor injuries without too much trouble. And there will be injuries, they're like little kids. Can't lock them in a padded room for their entire lives.

  • It's not a collar drop he has a harness on him...you can see it when the dog gets to the ground... granted it probably was uncomfortable but it shouldn't have hurt him any.

  • peace of shit whats that at 3:45 man like you shoudnt have a dog

  • @24codegeass Lowering the dog in a harness is part of the training that helps deploy these dogs in emergency situations, such as areas stricken by earthquakes and tsunamis, so they can search for and rescue survivors. It saves lives. So you can get your panties out of a twist now.

  • stupid

  • the maple kind yea...?

  • they created cats for a reason, this isnt a cat so dont let it do cat stuff.

  • You suck

Why tie a dog with a rope and take it off the roof?

You need a monkey climbing on things

    Not a dog!

  • Shepherd are the best :)

  • which is better a doberman or sth like this?

  • You people are dumb as hell! He has a harness on!! These working breeds have the best lives! Because they WORK and DO what they LOVE to do! Its funny how all the closed minded whack jobs come out of the wood work when we post working dogs on youtube Good Job Mate, Your dutchie has incredible drive!!

  • if you look closely when he is being lowered it is by a harness on his chest this dog is fine i should know because he is my dog and i watched the whole thing in person!

I'm one of the girls in the other videos(im not the one who got stung by a bee)

  • all I can say is WOW!!! I wish I could train my future dog to do this.. I 'll have to train it to climb and descend ladder to get in and out of the boat.

Great vid. Thanks for sharing! now I know it could be done :D

  • this was posted on my 18th birthday lol. Does he ever fall?

  • Excellent..nice to see a true being who understands these fine beings..

  • this is ninja dog

  • Indeed, chris, get a chest collar for when he doesn't dare to go back ;$

  • I am wondering how you get him started climbing ladders? I have a 5 month old puppy.

That is incredible and the dog is obviously very very happy working at this. I think it is a useful skill as well as an interesting one.

  • @tallwall45-- you start by first introducing the dog to ALL types of surfaces...until they dont bat an eye at any of them. Then, to move onto ladders you start with one laying flat on the ground. Then level on cinderblocks. Then one end raised a bit. Baby steps. Of course, a solid foundation is essential. The dog needs to have unfailing obedience off-lead and with distraction..or they will end up getting hurt.

  • I am wondering how you get him started climbing ladders? I have a 5 month old puppy.

  • this is fucking borderline dog abuse right here.

  • @d3ql-- no this is called preparing. These are working dogs. Would it be better to NOT train them for situations they encounter during the course of their work? BECAUSE they work in dangerous, often unpredictable settings it is necessary to train them for every scenario one can possible think of. To not properly train the dog--and practice, practice, practice until they have it cold like this one--would get them hurted-- or worse.

  • good video nice dogs but that´s to dangerous

  • more like how many dogs did this take ! jk, great dogs.

  • WOW!!!! how much training did this take? Great job!

  • WOW!!!!

  • How old is he in this video? What's the differeace between a Dutch shepherd and a Belgian shepherd?

  • @resistnine Dutch Shepherds have slightly larger heads, therefore more bite power. That and coloration. Either than that, not much is different.

  • mine knows Kung Fu

  • great, now you can send your dog when a war erupts ...

  • This training is way too risky for your dog dude

  • too stupid and dangerous ...

  • wow, the german shepherd could only look. lol dutchies are the best!!!

  • He's using a harness. I have a dutchie, phenominal dogs. Mine is great with the kids and is lightening fast when we go on a run. Very smart almost human like behavior. Mine doesn't communicate with the tail. Mostly with the rest of his body language. Does yours?

  • Wow

  • wtf you trying to choke your dog out or something?!?

    great dog, retarded owner.

  • wtf you trying to choke your dog out or something?!?

    great dog, retarded owner.

  • it's people like you who aren't fit to own an animal.

  • Did you seriously drop him down by a collar? Are you trying to hurt your dog?! Good training, not so good trainer...

  • Highly trained dog, but I don't think it was fair to give the dog a Platz when he was on top of a ladder and could have fallen off and really hurt himself in a 2 story fall to the ground. I think this is irresponsible. Good training, but very, very poor judgement in how this training is applied in my opinion. I don't think making a dog climb stairs is fair to dog that can really get badly injured.

  • Looks like that was a collar-only drop at 3:45. Worst owner ever.

  • nice video and enjoy it ....hate it when people had a negative comments..i knew for sure they all enjoyd this video...dont hate ..participate!..i have a dutch and a malinois..

  • LOVE MY DUTCHIE!! THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME HOW COOL MY DOG IS!!

  • AWWW. The dog is terrified on that roof! AND PLUS, 3:45 You need a damn correct harness!

  • How the hell does it do that lol. Thats one good climber. I know I could definately not get up there if I just had paws.

  • What are you say that sounds like "Gluts". Do people train their dogs using words from foreign languages so they cant be easily miss used?

  • That dog is bad ass.

  • why dont you use a proper harness for the airdrop at 3:45

  • LOOOOOOOL at 3:45 xDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • 3:45 is almost killing the dog fool!

  • That is SO Amazing! I guess it's true what they say, There's no such thing as a dumb dogs just stupid owners.

  • Free runner!!

  • which dog is better? a dutch shepherd or a belgian malinois? and what are the specific size and weight of each dog?

  • @DGK12798 They are both really great breeds. I own a Belgian and my friend owns a dutch. Height males 24-26 inches Females 22-24 inches

Weight: 55-65 pounds for Belgians and dutch get about Height: 22-25 inches

Weight: 65-67 pounds Her Dutch is really vocal and is attached to her my Belgian is SUPER fast and her dutch is stronger. They are both smart but my Belgian responds quicker but that is probably just training. Her's is really clumsy though but it is only 6 months.

  • Forget the AKC, we should just hold competitions in this man's back yard.

  • the things a dutch will do for a pat on the back!!, got to love em.

  • This is unbelievable :O

    What a breed. Outstanding. :)

  • @Planetwatts "As one last touch, God created the Dutch."

Yes, Amsterdam is an... interesting.... city, but the majority of the Netherlands are just plain beautiful, and the people are wonderful.

Oh and the dogs are beast!

  • My Dutch can parashute... jk this breed is very intelligent. Mine is trained to sniff out just about anything and stops at no end to protect the family... ask the few dumb assess that tried to come over the gate lol you can tell its them from the bite mark on the ass..lol

  • you and your dog are ovbiously a great match!

i have, however, always been confused by people using the german word "platz" for the command to lie down... you know it means "place" right? not down. and there are words for all these other commands you're using as well. LOL

also, your boy is agile for sure, but this isn't what's called "agility" - an actual dog sporting and show event.

  • @LilHoneyMama I'm guessing that they use that since telling a dog like this (guard, attack, police, military dog) to lie down, would generally mean staying still for awhile too, so they use "platz" or "place" as a way of telling the dogs "Down, and stay."

  • fuken awesome dog i want one jus like him

  • im looking to purchase a good hard 12 to 2year belgium shepherd .e-mail me at blakejoe@eircom .com

  • poor dog

  • Is the Dutch Shepherd different than the German Shepherd?

  • @DhabyaniVIP yes, but barely. they are about the same size/weight and structure, are matched in athleticism, but are easily distinguished by coat colorings - German Shepherds are only black/tan or white, Dutch Shepherds are only dark brindle. i believe the Dutch Shep was bred from German Shepherds, but i'm not an expert on this breed. they are somewhat rare in America.

  • @LilHoneyMama

    @LilHoneyMama

GSD is well bigger than a Dutch Sheperd who are are about the size or a tiny bit smaller than a Malinois. They are more agile but obv less powerful. Also both breeds come in more variation as you describe.

They all (dutch, belgian and german) are independent breeds, who were created in their respective country with the same idea and werent bred from eachother though it is likely that they all hail from the same type of dog at some point in history.

  • That's a bad ass dog.

  • No dog is comfortable outside of its element...it's a tribute to the relationship the handler has with his animal that the animal is willing to show such trust. The lowering from the roof is a part of search and rescue training as well as police/military training as sometimes an animal has to be lowered into an unobtainable area. This shows the dogs presence of mind to remain calm, as well as remaining where it 'touched down' until further instruction. Well done, nice Dutch.

  • That's like a G.I. dog very cool.

  • i have a dutch shepherd

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, this makes me want a Dutch Shepherd...

  • I suppose you didn't lower him at 3:46 just by his collar, didn't you??? Cool video, but your dog doesn't seem ANY happy about the things he has to do^^

  • let me guess u talk to dogs..huh...?

  • Ya wtf. Come on seriously

  • look at when he takes it off moron, its a harness used in training aswell as police work. and did u notice how after the dog gets down from there how happy he is? lol dogs trained to do it

  • That dog obviously loves his master. It's far better to have a sense of purpose and understanding with a master to such a high degree, then to be untrained and anxious.

  • @pantadon way to state the obvious.

  • @carterbeauford4220

Speaking of dogs, here's a perfect example of a little bitch everyone.

  • @pantadon Did that comment upset you? Stop crying.

  • what the f*** at 3:45 ?

  • @martynvk What you do when the dog doesn't want to get of the roof I suppose.

  • @martynvk

56chris23 can you pls at the very least get a chest collar for pulling off 3:45 for your dogs neck bones sakes

  • @martynvk are you fuckin serious man? you're fucking strangling the dog with that shit, you're gonna ruin your dogs throat you dumb fuck.. people like you shouldnt have dogs. pointless roof climbing too

  • @LovableBeats well i hope that this isn't for me. if it is, you should read better!!!

  • @LovableBeats-- you REALLY that stupid? Working dogs--search and rescue dogs especially--need to practice these sorts of exercises until they can do them backwards, forwards, and in their sleep. These all are situations, or simulate situations, the dog may VERY likely be called to work in one day. To not prepare the dog properly would not only be jeopardizing its life--it'd be jepardizing the lives of people--both victims and other rescuers as well.

  • i hope you get ressurected as an "agility" dog in your next life.. and i hope your trainer is as much as an asshole as you

  • @LovableBeats well i hope that this isn't for me. if it is, you should read better!!!

  • @martynvk lmao no for the guy who made the video..

  • @martynvk oh my gosh i started laughing SO hard!!!!!!!!!

  • cool video maybe, but you can easy seee that dogs are forced, like getting that dog off the roof,it can come it self it can come out it self if it wants

  • i didnt know my dog was a DS check out my video

  • shephers r the shit, cool video

  • good dog but dumb to try and get him to "platz" when he's on a ladder..

  • He's confusing the dog plus if you watch about a minute or so in the dog responds to the "down" command too... Stick with one command... Regardless, nice dogs and nice agility!

  • "Platz! Good Platz!" hihi...

  • mind blowing video i love your dog i was speechless if

  • This dog is amazing, I have never seen such an agile and confident dog. Fantastic. I am looking to get a dog soon I have been looking at dutch shepherds and I think they are amazing dogs. I have had Rottweilers for years my parents still have two and are great dogs, good with the kids but also brilliant guard dogs. I am seriously considering getting a shepherd now though.

  • Interesting dismount from the roof lol . Congratulations on having such a fabulous dog and on instilling such trust in him.

  • parkour dog

  • very nice.

type of training and commands you use sound very familiar.

i train my dutchie at a place were we use same commands no food/toy rewards, just good communication.

i also started using play structures at schools this past summer

    excellent work

  • awesome dogs!

  • Absolutely brilliant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a big fan of this type of training and I think you and your dog have set a standard which many wont even get near, let alone match or be better.

Congratulations on a great dog and some superb training.

  • @K9Protection Hi Gary, agree with you. Cheers.
