Oh Samiad, this is insane! i was talking about a setup like this weeks ago with some iberian folks...
i know this were your first laps, but btw, try to put more FOV, like your eyes, maybe 150º or 160º should be ok for that type of view, because the point of view is directly in your eyes.
maybe you know this, but, can you try it and post impressions? thanks ;)
Just amazing!! I suggest you to try it with "Microsoft Flight Simulator X", the Head Tracking is complete in all 6 axis (i tried with FreeTrack) , so with the Cinemizer... Simply perfect and amazing! And also for FPS games (like Battlefield 3) i think this tecnology can be the... a new amazing way to live them!
Nice video! Would you be able to tell me how you got your hands on a Cinemizer OLED? If not, any chance you can let us know what the specifications of the unit are (Field of view, resolution)?
If not, I understand, as it seems it may be a prototype or prerelease unit. If you could give any information, though, I would be thrilled. Thanks!
@palmerluckey Grrr, for some reason, none of the comments already on this video showed up the first time. I looked, I swear! I see that you already answered some of my questions, sorry for the redundancy.
I've used Head Mounted Displays in the past, and it always looked like a smallish monitor hanging in front of my face. Do these glasses solve that problem - is the field of view nice and wide? Also, what's the resolution like - is 720p enough to give you a crisp image to rival a decent 1080p monitor? Hope you can help - if I like what you say I might just have to buy a pair...
First question that comes to mind is, are you slower than normal when using it? Your driving seemed quite erratic, and slow, and I was wondering if this was because this device/setup was new to you. Seems like it would be quite a blast though! Now I want to look into the specs of the device, hehe.
@ShortyDammit my driving is always erratic, and slow, no change there.... ;-) In all seriousness these are some of my first laps in this type of configuration (same for the TrackIR, never used it before). Wanted to get a video done just to show the potential more than anything else.
@EvilSamiad Which is why I asked if you were slower than normal, and why I assumed it was due to new device(s) and setup that you weren't yet accustomed to. ;)
u can take the copied video down from the person in OjPhnFvDYZU
since you are the orriginal owner

Can you use this with a laptop? Would using stereo 3d half performance like when I use Nvidia Stereo 3d Shutter Glasses?

Can you imagine playing a game like Skyrim with something like this? A horror game!? Holy shit.

The field of vision is tiny. Don't confuse resolution with the angle that you are seeing this resolution in.

The quality of the screen is it beautiful? The OLED offers there a more?
If not, or did you buy? I dream of this helmet!

@RoiPourpre And with this kind of helmet is that it's much more immersive?
The quality of the screen is better than your screen on your desk?

How does peripheral vision and sense of speed compare to using your 3 monitor setup?

@EvilSamiad Oh, really? Well that's much better than 640x480, which is all I could find on their website.
