Did people really wear white wigs back then? I mean, I know like George washington and people that ruled countries did....but I doubt everyone in this vid rules a country in the movie
@ispeak4detrees Yes all wealthy men wore powdered wigs in the 18th century.Women either wore a powdered wig or hair peices and somtimes the womens hair could be 4 feet tall.
I live in France now and have explained to me that "the glass slipper" is a mistake. They meant squirrel fur on a slipper. Only royalty were allowed to wear squirrel fur. "Ver" or something got mixed up with "verre," which means glass. The prince was looking for a princess able to have the right to wear a slipper trimmed with squirrel fur! I've researched this and it is true. A lot of the French language has been misinterpreted over the ages. Such as "art gothique."
I really happy that I was able to find this scene from this movie on here. Because I have it taped off TV but it's missing most of this scene. And I've always wondered what happen in this scene. Thank you for uploading it. =^)
I so love this movie! I have since the first time I saw in on the Family Film Festival that played on KTLA every Sunday afternoon when I was growing up. Yes! The whole movie please!
I just watched this on AMC, and it's my new favorite movie. I loved how they showed Ella as a real human girl, with problems and sorrows and faults and hope, and the prince loves her because of these things. Awesome!!!
@TheRandomJenShow I think it was supposed to be the moonlight, but back then the moviemakers didn't have proper lamps, so they had to make the movie during the day.
@EverythingAustin I have many clips up of, for instance, French buildings with particularly wide doors. The chairs are easy to differentiate. The wider ones for ladies and their garments.
Now that is what I call a dress!!!! :)

Leslie Caring look good enough to eat in that dress.
If I were a real man, I would dive into that white layered fluffy dress of hers, in search for the all illusive muff.

To be honest if your dress isn't wider than you are tall, you're not doing it right.

I like how the Prince already knows who she is, and smiles at the end with the slipper, like "We'll see each other again soon."
