How did everyone get into a fight over DL vs. DW? I'd love to go to Disneyworld, but I was just at Disneyland for the first time a few years ago and I wouldn't trade my time there for anything... it was the first time in so long that I felt truly at peace and just insanely happy! There's no other feeling like it, no matter which park you're in

@tvgator1 Nope not true. Disney created World of Color because they know that Americans would go to Disney World instead of Disneyland. Disneyland needed something so that people would come disneyland for a reason, not for a "smaller disney world". Haven't you noticed that since last year Disneyland refreshed all their shows, while Disney World's, only recently, refreshed (some) of theirs. They are not bringing this WDW because it would ruin the whole reason why they created this show.

Its the second most visited theme park which is why it is extremely crowded. However go to to California Adventure and you will see that it is empty!

Why doesn't this commercial say that WOC is in California Adventure?

I once saw a commercial for Expedition Everest. In that commercial they say it's in Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

I wonder how many paying visitors go to Disneyland park expecting to see WOC when it's actually in California Adventure. The commercial really should be more specific.

@MrThemeParkAudios That doesn't make it better. And the general public agrees, that's why the magic kingdom of disney WORLD is the #1 attended park in the world. Even Walt Disney wasn't 100% content with DL, thats why he purchased all the land for DW which would "hold all the ideas and dreams that he could possibly imagine." Ask anybody which would they rather go to for a week, and I bet the majority would say Disney World. If you have 3 days to kill, DL is the place, but not for a week.

@G2red89 yes it does. The only reason MK is the more attended park is because DW attracts more tourists than DL. If MK mostly attracted locals like DL, DL would get higher attendance. If I had a to choose either one of the 2 resorts for a whole week, DW would win. But if it were for 4 days are less, DL is the winner. So now that we have WOC, it's time for Orlando locals to come to Anaheim to see the show.

Walt Disney did not want to built a Magic Kingdom in Florida, but he was pressured into it. His big idea for the Florida project was EPCOT.

They are BOTH good places. :-)

Disneyland will always be special because it was Walt's original park, the only one he ever saw, and its got some great attractions, and its still growing.

WDW has some great attractions as well, its also still growing.

And please remember, that bigger is not necessarily better.

@WhiteLioness100 I don't think either one is better. They are both unique and it depends on the type of experiences you are looking for. I grew up in California so I love Disneyland with a passion. However I also worked at Disneyworld for a year and can appreciate the diversity of attractions that are there to enjoy.

Because the infrastructure for World of Color is very expensive and large, there isn't really any room for it in Florida.

Besides, If people are ever going to take California Adventure seriously, then it really needs a grand nighttime spectacular that cannot be found anywhere else.

@wwemj213 perk up. If you're going to Disney World(WDW) then your in for a real treat. They enhanced what I call the better Tower of Terror, they have new fireworks at the magic kindgom, and a few other things I may be forgetting. And if you have a week to kill, then WDW is the place to go.
