I cannot tell what it is, but there is something off on this performance. His fingering seems to be off the mark of the music like he is lip synching or something. Obviously he has skills as his fingers seem to move effortlessly up and down the fingerboard, but there is something that seems fake about the performance. It probably is just video tracking.

I hope Sungha perfects this peice and makes it one of his warhorses. Another one I wish he'd revisit is Jesu Joy of Mans desiring. He played that early on. The technique was great as always but the Sungha soulful touch came out strong for someone so young.

So to conclude I want to say that I think people should encourage him to take a lengthy break so that he can have a little bit of life before he grows up. The kid is human and needs to have life experience before too much adulthood wears him out. Playing guitar is not an olympic sport (not about the fastest or strongest). He's already accomplished so much. Let's give the poor kid a break so he can enjoy life. Remember - what he's doing is all hard work - not talent. Imagine yourself doing it!

I just want to say that I do admire Sungha and his work ethic very much... he is a good role modal for kids for sure. But I think they're pushing him too much (his entourage and family). He just released a studio album and is touring around the world. It would be hard enough for a adult with many years experience but a kid?? Moreover, Sungha's playing is WAAAY more about practice and discipline than talent. To just say he's talented is to discredit the immense work he does to impress youtubers

I don't understand why some people expect to see "emotions" from Sungha's face. His playing already shows a variety emotions enough to touch my mind. Why should he express "extra" emotions on his face? Okay, it could be told as "showmanship." But I have to say that he is only 14 year-old boy, and need to time to develope such a superficial showmanship. Please concentrate on his playing, and splendid personality lying under it.

I have seen plenty of musicians showing ranges of emotion in their faces while playing and I guarantee you it wasn't superficial but true, honest emotion.

I was just upset against some people's comments on Sungha's facial emotions, as if he must not be happy while playing cause he did not show emotions on his face.
