As for the nose, you are a thin guy so you can get away with the wide angle lens at that distance, but point taken - you can get the background in/widen the FOV.
Check out the Canon Vixia series HV20-40 for some awesome 24p quality.
Hottest movie, still camera model currently is Lumix GH-1. Interchangeable lens like DSLR with a DSLR size sensor but no mirror box. There are so many sample clips shot on this model in youtube.
Only problem is there aren't many of them in the store. Demands beats the supply.
Watch out for other non-4/3 makers like Nikon and Canon. I know they are working around the clock to design the APS-C version of this mirrorbox-less cameras.
It's interesting to see who gets on top when the dust clears.
of course it takes pics instantly. How else do you expect to take an action shot? My nikon is 7 years old and it take intant pictures. You just have to press the button down half way before you shoot so that it can focus and get ready, then the little light goes form red to green and you are ready to shoot instant.
haha I don't know...we have a still cam we bought in 1999 with a carl zeis lense. Takes nice pics, but it takes its time to take them. Thanks for that, we'll consider one of them when we get over there in Jan...cheers : )
Thanks for the info: Have been comparing other videos, though I guess you have to be aware how an video is compressed and uploaded and what YouTube does to the quality.
Thanks for the comment! I work in the video production industry for Tokyo. Making videos for clients that they can share on places like YouTube. Well I'm trying anyway!

Hi Chris...re: the lil spycam lol. My missus wants to get a new still camera & that one sounds cool having a wide lense.
Can you please tell me if it responds quickly with still shots????
ie you click & it takes the picture immediately or it takes a couple of seconds. Thats primarily why we're upgrading the old one.
