i had a hard time building this for a school project... the instructions claim that the robot only requires 1 standard kit, while i needed two because there weren't enough pieces in that kit. Also, the color sensor isn't part of a standard kit, only the black/white color sensor comes with it, so it had to be ordered separately

Hey im having some trouble with the arm. When the arm comes down to flip the cube, the 2 pointy things on the grabber thing get stuck on the front of the turntable. Any suggestions?

Oh and I pried out the centres and loosened the screws a little to make it easier to turn.

The algorithms for solving a rubiks cube are fairly simple. This machine does not mean robots are about to take over the world.

@mjriky I had the same problem. It seems like it actually mixed the cube up worse at first, but I noticed that the color sensor was up a bit too high and I had to re-seat it so that it was closer to the cube face. If you do not see it focus the light beam clearly on the corners and pass directly over the center, make sure the scanning arm is close enough.

how to beat tilted twister ( #LOL ):

1- mix the cube

2- give tilted twister it

3- when it is solved, remove all the stickers on that side, except the center one

4- now that the cube has 6 out of 54 stickers, take a camera and press the REC button, pointing to tilted twister so you can record him

5- repeat step 2 and watch him explode

@rudeabaga1 The newest version of it doesn't require any modification of an original Rubik's Cube. In the past, the orange stickers had to be removed and the Rubik logo had to be covered. He's made it work without that in the latest version on his website.
