  • i was just wondering when you do join the forces well airforce do you just sighn up to be a doorgunner??.or like my what is the name of the position if this makes any sense to you :p like is it called an on flight enganier or just door gunner? or like what haha

  • @theband951 For information regarding this position I would reccommend contacting your local recruiting office.

  • @theband951 He is not Air Force he's PPCLI (Infantry) I believe all door gunners are Infantry that volunteer to do this job.

  • @theband951 Flight engineers start of as aircraft technicians, and then transfer to become flight engineers in specific aircraft. In the Griffons, the flight engineer is the aircrafts technical expert, aswell as door gunner. Everyone I know whose been a straight up "door gunner" was an infantryman who volunteered, and did the subsequent training.

  • im thinking of being a door gunner when i join the forces

  • @ArrowSmith95 Then you will be Infantry as he is. A Door Gunner is not an MOC, infantry are the ones who man the guns on the AF choppers. He likely had missions in Afghanistan on the ground before he filled this role.

  • That is an awesome job
