@PowerlifeHD ..one solution is to pump out seawater from ship, then seal all openings, lighten the ship by taking off load on board...even cutting some section out & tow it out during high tide. Just figuring & not a foolproof solution though.

@lolergramCCCP That was already a good diving site.. without the ship! Actually the rock now trapped in the hull was previously visited by divers. The area is in a national park, and the threat of the Concordia's 2.400T of fuel is strong: taking it out should take around 2 weeks, if the ship doesn't move.

Then they'll probably make it float again to move it away, and possibly restore, or dismantle it. Dismantling in place IMHO would be too polluting, the island lives on tourism!
