  • man the fuck up McDonald's in moderation isn't bad for you..

let's count on the parents to control the amount of McSchlick's their kid's eat

I hate when people blame individuals in commercials for their children's actions.. rather than looking in the mirror and saying "Jesus Christ, I'm fucking up my kid's perception of the world by giving them everything they ask for"

    Brad's a G

  • only 1 fry is eaten

  • what is the song called on the second last commercial????

  • nothing offensive at all

  • Anyone ever notice no one actually eats the mcdonalds in the commercial?

ITS BECAUSE ITS FUCKING GARBAGE FOOD.

    Corporate cock sucking whore "olympians"

  • @ArmyofLulz Amen.

  • @ArmyofLulz lmao true

  • Chill out "Knuckle Dagger"

  • I think you're forgetting one major aspect of this- Money.

Elite level sport is a full time job, the majority of carded in athletes in Canada do not work full time and the funding system in place is woefully inadequate. I'm sure they would all love to get sponsored by healthy food options, etc. but at the end of the day it just isn't realistic. You do what you need to do to keep eating and paying rent while you train.

  • Not to mention:

Have you ever tried to eat 6000 calories in chicken and broccoli? I have, and believe me when I say it is NOT pleasant. Sounds strange to say but at that level of calorie turnover (such as that found in olympic athletes) the rules get a bit fuzzier- sometimes you just need to get more calories and where they come from is secondary.

  • Shocking!!!!!!

  • It's criminal and false advertising. What part of a healthy diet can consist of junk food? 0%

Ronald McDonald House is propaganda too. If McDonalds wants to be charitable they can do it without promoting their brand name.

  • I agree

  • @notmytribe chill out knuckle dragger

  • @notmytribe everyone needs to chill. A) mcdonalds egg mcmuffin is the healthiest breakfast sandwhich available as 'fast food'. If you pay attention, the athletes requiring above average physical endurance are eating EGG MCMUFFINs. Not a bad choice if you ask me. B) The snowboarders are eating Big Macs and french fries. I'm not sure that the McDonalds will affect their performance much.

We all know McDonalds isn't the healthiest. But relax. It's not as bad as you think.

  • I know for a fact that Brad Martin eats Mcdonalds hahaha

  • @lilbitters It doesn't really matter. He can eat Mcdonalds in moderation, however, when you become a role model for countless children around the world, you should show some responsibility and not feed them bullshit. Side note: good for him if he does actually eat Mcdonalds consistently, he's not even taking part of this year's Olympics... anyway.

  • You know they've done the same thing here in the US too right? We also have McDonalds commercials with Olympians eating their food. In fact the last one I saw had a whole restaurant full of them all eating McNuggets. You gotta wonder what their coaches were thinking when they participated in those commercials you know.

  • I am aware that it also takes place in the US as well. Sad thing is that I doubt their coaches had any say. Athletes are provided some funding from Mcdonalds in order to push their products by contract. Even if they don't eat the food or perhaps just on slight occasions. It's really sad really. Thanks for the comment Murjax

  • Wow you two are the Biggest Ass Holes on here. And these olympians are not only supporting McDonalds these athletes support Ronald McDonald House Cherties thats why they are helping McDonalds with theses promos.....Do your home work before you pass your judgement.

  • I have no problem with supporting Mcdonald's Charities, however, what they should be doing is promoting, at least, their "healthy" options (salads, etc) during the OLYMPICS. And before you call me an asshole, first do you see any reference to the charities in these spots? I don't. This is strictly ads for Mcdonalds FOOD, ie. PROFITS. I've done my homework and found no link to any charity work that these athletes are doing on behalf of the charity. If the are, THAT should be front and center.

  • Thanks for sharing this. Totally agreed. It's one thing to throw golden arches all over the festivities, but to have olympians endorsing McDonald's food? Sick.

  • @thedeets thanks for the comment thedeets, I fully agree with you

  • @thedeets Last time i checked these olympians don't really make an amazing living off just sport so i'm sure they're aloud to take an endorsement or two.

  • @doubletime16 I'm not questioning whether they're allowed to endorse products or companies. It's the choice of company and products that seems out of line with the actual diets of Olympic caliber athletes that I'm questioning.
