@Pulsed101 no they don't, they are just here for your personnal roleplay / playstyle and for cosmetic. Given you can fly ANY ship within the game whatever the caracter you have to start with ;)

Of course that will require to have the skill, but it's doable, no problem :D

No. They are Sleepers, a long dead race of humans who mastered cryogenics, vurtual realitys, and etc. Their name suggest sthis quite litteraly, as all of their mastered fields involve some for of "sleep". What you fight in wormholes are either programmed drones, or drones controlled by the remains of the conciousness' of a person.

No, the trailers are just being made with higher-end machines. The graphics scale depending on the computer. The settings differ depending on the computer's capability, meaning the highest settings on one computer won't look as good as the highest settings on a higher-end computer.

All of EVE's 12 some expansion have been free so far. All you need is a subscription. =)

It is an Upgrade.

You basically download the new version of the game for Free and then login with your existing Subscription ID.

It's an expansion. That's free. You know how Blizzard charges like $40 for new expansions? Well, CCP gives them to the players for free. And they release expansions twice a year. Some of which have more content than TBC or WoLK. Apocrypha, for example, adds around 3000 new solar systems and tons of new gameplay additions and improvements. Trinity completely revamped the game engine and added new models, a new shader set, and a bunch of new regions. EVE looks as good as it does now because of it.

Indeed, RIP BoB. Formerly the largest ORGANIZED alliance in New Eden. Now they're running around with their tails between their legs looking for a new home, at least from what I've heard. They were putting up some resistance, but I saw GoonSwarm totally crush them. Do they even have any territory now? Any of their related corporations or alliances? Or are they licking their wounds in high sec or seeking asylum in other alliances?

Uhmidk7 it really is worth it to pay the subscription but because most people have short attention spands and are too lazy to find the good parts of eve instead of letting out all of the Negative parts about it , it may not seem like it is. Me personally I love eve not only because of the battles but because of the comparison to life in the real world put into a game. in real life if you dont have money your not gonna make it in eve its the same motto. though in eve you dont have a job exatly

If it doesn't say unedited in-game footage, you can probably assume it isn't. I like CCP as a developer but they need to push units to earn money as well - I don't blame them for wanting their trailers to look as good as they possibly can.

This vids are 100% not rendered, but the options to get this graphics are locked ingame, as no single computer will have good performance during fleet battles or in systems like Jita.

Nope. I have a good system and everything is maxed out, but they don't have the polish and detail that you see in this video.

Don't get me wrong, ships, and especially stations, have amazing quality and detail... but it's not CGI quality yet.

Yes you can get that detail - if you have 3 way SLI graphics. I have 2 way SLI and it's pretty damn close to that... I feel bad for those people with AGP graphics still :¬D

Bear in mind they've yet to fully implement all the feartures that they promised...Right now only the content got really updated...Macs were the only ones who really got any graphics boost, since they (finally) were upgraded to Trinity graphics

My Nvidia 6100 at 1280x1084 is a third of the way there, I noticed the last few months of optimization for the lowend shaders.

With Bloom on and 4x AA that's should do it. T_T I miss my 7600.

T3 cruisers are not 3 years away if you can fly allready most t2's , allthough they can be get from thoguht "wormhole" spaces and are kinda rare to get ... personally i think the most awsomest things are walk in station and a skill queue...

I think CCP needs to end support for SM1 and SM2 first before that's going to happen. I'm a programmer myself (not professional tho) and I know how hard it is to implement rendering for more than one shader model...
