  • dam!!! you just stole half of my idea direct from my brain ,, keep up the god work !

  • ps, I've since found that one end of the coil connected to earth or battery negative, the other to a neon to charge battery with grounded negative will also only harvest the radiant event; no back EMF, no Lenz's drag.

  • What is lenzless here? The coil is left open. Infinite resistance on each end of the coil wire means no current. No current, no voltage. The core magnetizes, then the reed switch activates long enough to catch radiant event.

  • Well what about the magnetic drag between the magnet and core? You have to break that attraction with a coil input to reverse the field. The field you use to break the attraction between the core and magnet would have to coincide with the coll;apse of the core field. So the field that you need to break the attraction would occur at the same time as the supposed collapse of the core field. You then would only have a field that would be induced by the coil into the core to repel the magnet.

  • What is "lenzless" here . if you have a moving magnet past a coil you will get Lenz law effects. Namely a resistance to the moving magnet be the induced emf in the coil.

  • Of course it's aether gas. A rose by any other name.. Btw, a relay with normally closed contacts works well activated by the passing magnet.

  • It`s not back emf, it`s the AETHER GAS. why can`t you people learn?

  • I dont understand where would the antenae and the ground fit in this circuit m3sca1?

  • Will be nice to see motor without transistors and pure mechanical.. Nice!

  • brilliant video, cant wait to see it!

i might have a play around with something similar, the reed activated emf capture is a great idea

  • thanks for the tips m3sca1 :-) - I was thinking of building it out of old harddrive but will try find a different wheel now, so cheers :-)

  • looking forward to see what you build.

i have burnt up quite a few reed switches and coils before i got a stable motor.

the temptation to use very strong neo's should be avoided.

if you do use them, make them small, because the energy required to repel it from the iron core is much higher with neo's.

need higher volts and thinner windings to match the neo's field strength

thats why im using 220 ohm 24 volt relay coils for my drive coils and these work well to limit the current to the reed.

  • also try to use brass shaft and screws and as little as possible iron in the construction.

eddy current losses into iron need to be avoided.

also look into placing a ground wire and an antenna to the system, to capture that in the coils with the back EMF.
