Great real guitar Tone!!! can actually HEAR the instrument for a change … unlike most people where they totally drown it out with gain great playing!!!
Low gain. clean playing. Got as much of the nuances of the solo as he could with the minimal overdrive; harder to get some of those harmonics. And the coupe de grace -- he didn't need the CD in the backround!! And yet, not as many hits as deserved. For getting hits on YT, its better to butcher the song!!!
Subscribed after I watched the second video. Love your playing style and tone choices. I notice that most videos are a few years old. Not uploading any more?
Excellent! Note an easy solo to pull off with lots of distortion, let alone on a lightly overdriven sound like you have. Timing, feel and correct notes were all there. great job!
I take great pleasure in telling people how much they suck on guitar...and it's so easy. not the case here. good job schenker69! i especially like that you played it with such a lesser gain tone so we can see that you really play. my hat's off to you!
you have inspired me to do the same. check it out when you get a chance. You have a great light touch on the gutiar.. something I have never been able to grasp. Still Trying though lol
I wish this vid could be posted on all the pages where guys play along to the track to cover their mistakes. Nary a flubbed note, Harmonics with little overdrive. Fantastic!!
No bro -- you kick ass!! And like a true guitar player you are turning over gear at quite a fast rate. How long did you keep the plexi before selling? :)
Being a Randy Rhoads diehard fan.. I can honestly say that you did a GREAT JOB !! very enjoyable to listen. nice setup with the LP and the Blues jr 5 stars !!!!!
Check out Chelsea Constable's Randy Tribute. She was 15 or 16 when she made it. I've never seen it done better. You will shit yourself. Just type her name into the search
Hey thanks for your honesty you must have it down note for note. Would love to see your take on this solo, please post it I would love to see my wrong. Really!!
Don't have a webcam yet...but yeah, I know this one.
No biggie...just being nitpicky. An example of a inserted note is the F# during the beginning B Chord intro. On the walk-up, there is no F#. It's just E-G#-E-E to the A...no sequential walk up from E-F#-G#.
Keep me updated love to see your stuff. I'm self taught, figured this solo by ear. The explanation of notes from a book you describe above are like foreign language to me.
Cool. Just got a webcam but will have to revisit this tune. It's great you learn by ear as it's the best way by far. I do too but I like to learn as much theory as possible as well. You could probably learn the names of the notes in no time though...
I do know the names of the notes and all there places on the guitar. Been playin for 25 years- not a moron. Use them when needed and desired. Who's to say playin by ear is the best way so far? Just seems to work for me. It's like some people love to read books I rather watch the movie. Get it?
I say it's the best way...because if you can't play by ear you suck. It's why most players from the past are better than today. They didn't have tab books to teach them...they actually had to use their brain and ear to learn things and the whole process made them better players. If you can't hear what's happening when you listen to a piece of music, your own playing will reflect the same lack of musical awareness.
Anyway...don't know why you said I was speaking a foreign language to you.
What I meant was that notes mean nothing to me it's from within that counts to me. reading notes in a book might as well be a foreign language. I have no interest in it.
no shit?? wow, i guess the lp pu's are really working there. i didnt know the amp had that much gain on it. it sounds like a nice clean gain something like old evh tone. real nice thone there dude !!
HOho..awesome playing... you know, you got something into your playing that is hard to find in youtube...you managed to play very smoothly along with accuratly harmonics, just like Rhoads. Great job...Hope see more videos of yours (sorry, bad english)
Hey love this amp. If you want to get turned on to RR pick up the 2 studio albums he did with Ozzy. Blizzard of oz & diary of a madman. Nice guitar work.
Great Video. Watching you really reminds me of how brilliantly Randy married rock and classical. Have you ever played a Hamer Special? I always thought the tone was on them was like a Les Paul.
Wow!!! we actually got to hear someone not relying on distortion/effects!!! Great timing too!!!
