  • Wow!!! we actually got to hear someone not relying on distortion/effects!!! Great timing too!!!

  • Great real guitar Tone!!! can actually HEAR the instrument for a change … unlike most people where they totally drown it out with gain great playing!!!

  • doest have the 100% smooth but still fkin good!!

  • Low gain. clean playing. Got as much of the nuances of the solo as he could with the minimal overdrive; harder to get some of those harmonics. And the coupe de grace -- he didn't need the CD in the backround!! And yet, not as many hits as deserved. For getting hits on YT, its better to butcher the song!!!

  • Subscribed after I watched the second video. Love your playing style and tone choices. I notice that most videos are a few years old. Not uploading any more?

  • Well done man, and by the way... I really love this song and its breathtakeing solo!

  • pretty neat

  • randy rhoads overcame ehv, that´s sure

  • For a 'bare-bones' rendition, well done!

  • Thank you!!

  • @schenker69 nice work man

  • Thanks!!

  • Excellent job!

  • Thank you!!!

  • NICE!

  • thank s so mucht very clear, and nice.

  • Thanks!!

  • OMG! SO GOOD! could you please write out some tabs please? All the other ones are bad that I've seen.

  • Thanks so much!!! Wish I could tab that for you but I figured that out by ear...I'm lost writing tabs or reading music.

  • Its ok. I try to figure out a lot stuff by ear too, and most of the time I can, but this song, randy just just is incredible...

  • Oh, maybe could you make a tutorial?

  • Thanks!!!

  • Excellent! Note an easy solo to pull off with lots of distortion, let alone on a lightly overdriven sound like you have. Timing, feel and correct notes were all there. great job!

  • Thanks soooo much...

  • Perfect xD 5/5 Stars

  • Thanks soooooo much....:)

  • Don't care what others say, I like it! Great playing.

  • Thanks!!

  • Thanks!!!!

  • thank you for having the balls to play it w/out the song playing in the b.g.

  • I dig your comment bro....Thanks!!!!

  • are you using any pedals into the amp, or just cranking the preamp volume?

  • Just cranking the preamp.............

  • I'd also like to say that you can see how relaxed he is playing. very good. you hit the phrasing right because of this! bravo.

  • Thanks!!

  • I take great pleasure in telling people how much they suck on guitar...and it's so easy. not the case here. good job schenker69! i especially like that you played it with such a lesser gain tone so we can see that you really play. my hat's off to you!

  • Thanks so much!!!!!!

  • fuckin love this solo

  • Me tooo!!!! Thanks!!

  • you have inspired me to do the same. check it out when you get a chance. You have a great light touch on the gutiar.. something I have never been able to grasp. Still Trying though lol

  • Awesome bro!! Glad I inspired you and thanks for your compliment, gonna check ya out.

  • Hey!! Thank you

  • dude that's rockin great work. Awesome

  • Thank you!!

  • I just watched a King of the Hill guitar mix and this song sounds very similar

    REST IN PEACE RANDY RHOADS

  • I wish this vid could be posted on all the pages where guys play along to the track to cover their mistakes. Nary a flubbed note, Harmonics with little overdrive. Fantastic!!

  • Bro you kick ass. Killer compliment and I thank you.

  • No bro -- you kick ass!! And like a true guitar player you are turning over gear at quite a fast rate. How long did you keep the plexi before selling? :)

  • LOL Thanks Had the plexi about 4 years

  • I think that sounded the best. But I'm partial to the classic sound.

  • Cool!!

  • Great playing and the right sound!!

  • Thanks!!

  • Being a Randy Rhoads diehard fan.. I can honestly say that you did a GREAT JOB !! very enjoyable to listen. nice setup with the LP and the Blues jr 5 stars !!!!!

  • You kick ass my bro!! Thanks so much

  • Check out Chelsea Constable's Randy Tribute. She was 15 or 16 when she made it. I've never seen it done better. You will shit yourself. Just type her name into the search

  • She kicks ass thanks for sharing. WOW!!

  • She kicks ass thanks for sharing. WOW!!

  • Outstanding. Playing w/ almost no distortion shows whether or not you can play. You pulled it off nicely

  • Thanks!!

  • hey what are your settings on the blues junior??? and this is just stock blues junior??? and a les paul with no pedals??

    nice playing btw

  • Stock amp- settings are dimed. Les paul no pedals correct. Thanks!!

  • thank god you posted this , I thought I could only play SRV with this amp. fine job of playing also

  • Very Cool!! Thanks!!

  • You do cool stuff and have great taste BUT sorry man...lots of wrong notes in this baby. Close enough that most people wouldn't notice though

  • Hey thanks for your honesty you must have it down note for note. Would love to see your take on this solo, please post it I would love to see my wrong. Really!!

  • Don't have a webcam yet...but yeah, I know this one.

No biggie...just being nitpicky. An example of a inserted note is the F# during the beginning B Chord intro. On the walk-up, there is no F#. It's just E-G#-E-E to the A...no sequential walk up from E-F#-G#.

    Anyhoo...keep up the great tunes.

  • Keep me updated love to see your stuff. I'm self taught, figured this solo by ear. The explanation of notes from a book you describe above are like foreign language to me.

  • Cool. Just got a webcam but will have to revisit this tune. It's great you learn by ear as it's the best way by far. I do too but I like to learn as much theory as possible as well. You could probably learn the names of the notes in no time though...

  • I do know the names of the notes and all there places on the guitar. Been playin for 25 years- not a moron. Use them when needed and desired. Who's to say playin by ear is the best way so far? Just seems to work for me. It's like some people love to read books I rather watch the movie. Get it?

  • I say it's the best way...because if you can't play by ear you suck. It's why most players from the past are better than today. They didn't have tab books to teach them...they actually had to use their brain and ear to learn things and the whole process made them better players. If you can't hear what's happening when you listen to a piece of music, your own playing will reflect the same lack of musical awareness.

Anyway...don't know why you said I was speaking a foreign language to you.

  • What I meant was that notes mean nothing to me it's from within that counts to me. reading notes in a book might as well be a foreign language. I have no interest in it.

  • VERY COOL!! THANKS!!

  • How does this compare to the Plexi?

  • 2 different animals

  • Thanks!!

  • Do you keep a spare guitar (that one) tuned down a half step for all the Diary songs and any other songs with tuneing irregularities?

  • nice work there !! what pedal are you using in front of the blues junior if I may ask ?

  • Thanks!! Stock amp no pedal

  • no shit?? wow, i guess the lp pu's are really working there. i didnt know the amp had that much gain on it. it sounds like a nice clean gain something like old evh tone. real nice thone there dude !!

  • Nice very nice. Most guys can't play randy's licks very accurately. You nailed it.2 thumbs up bro!

  • Thanks!

  • very very nice add some tone to that and a blind man would think you were Randy himself!

  • cool!

  • Damn nice ! You just play some parts a bit different from what i do :D.

  • Thank you my friend. Gonna check you out

  • Im thinking about puttin up the video tomorrow. I'll let you know when it's up !

Nice playin again, 5 stars for sure !

  • You rock bro- look ahead

  • Thank you so OZZ

  • Great work dude. Classic song and classic solo!

  • Thanx you!

  • That's one of my all time favourite solos, and you did an awesome job! Rock on man!

  • Very cool!

  • You really should get some recording with a band, at HIGH volume! Your playing is just amazing. Keep rockin! ;)

  • You kick ass bro. Thank you

  • My god great every thing

  • Thanks so much

  • HOho..awesome playing... you know, you got something into your playing that is hard to find in youtube...you managed to play very smoothly along with accuratly harmonics, just like Rhoads. Great job...Hope see more videos of yours (sorry, bad english)

  • Thanks for the wonderful compliment. I have many videos posted about 70 of them. I will be posting more.

  • Good, what´s the most important songs if I want to discover Randy Rhoads?

Got urself a new amp btw? Tell me how u like it. Cheers!

  • Hey love this amp. If you want to get turned on to RR pick up the 2 studio albums he did with Ozzy. Blizzard of oz & diary of a madman. Nice guitar work.

  • Thanks, I will. Guess there must be a reason so many love his guitarwork :)

  • Man, songs that really show hes way of playing are Suicide Solution, Revelations (Mother Earth) and No Bone Movies...

Later, go in the Guitar World Website and search for Soloing Strategies in the Search bar the u ll see an article about him and some tabs...

    hope u enjoy...

  • Anytime

  • Thank you

  • Nice one, thanks for the video response (:

  • Very cool

  • Great Video. Watching you really reminds me of how brilliantly Randy married rock and classical. Have you ever played a Hamer Special? I always thought the tone was on them was like a Les Paul.

  • Hey thank you so. Never played the hamer. been years even seen a hamer in front of me.

  • I know they are hard to find these days, but still made in Conn. A tone chaser like yourself would be all about Hamer.

  • Now ya make me wanna check one out.

  • Don't hear that too often! Very well done!

    5's!!!

  • Cool bro............

  • nicely done, good choice

  • Sup?

  • Very well done!!

  • Cool playing and tone.

  • Rockin brotha! Are you using your Marshall?

    Tone is exceptional!

  • Thanks bro. Fender blues junior

  • ah, sweet!

  • Killer little amp

  • That tone is awesome, I didn't know they were able to rock that hard.

  • Thank you

  • Sweet clip once again Ron!
