  • thx 4 this video

    u r soooo hot!!!!!!!

  • I am doing my research about turning raw. I am just curious.. how long can these cookies last?

  • you're electricity bill must be sky high!

  • theres something different about raw eating vegan women compared to women who eat dead food. They're so full of vitality and have awesome skin. Its incredible.

  • 10 hrs????????????????????????????/ omg.

  • but what if we can't get one of those things to dehidrate or whatever?

  • oh, ok - 3:38, I thought she was saying bye...funny silly awkward moment

  • u good girl,u should have ur own show,i'm not only,interested but informed,thanks and I'm a new "raw foodist"

  • damn,damn u people and ur vita-mixs.shit i need one too,lol :)

  • I never heard a word she said!

  • Blythe was that two cups of raw mixs nuts?

  • @CamilleVendryes Yes, sorry it's not clear, two cups of raw mixed fruits and nuts.

  • I dont have a dehydrator how long should i let them stay in my oven on the lowest temperature? Forget to ask can i use a food processor to make these cookies?

  • @CamilleVendryes What's the temperature? If it's hotter than 105, the enzymes will die. You could leave the door ajar. I'm not sure how long to keep them in the oven, I've never made them in the oven.

  • I dont have a dehydrator how long should i let them stay in my oven on the lowest temperature?

  • Does it work ? I mean dehydrated instead of cooking food makes you slimer?

  • @ASmartCake It's more about ingredients and enzymes. Raw foods have enzymes, so they help themselves digest and assimilate in the body. The ingredients are fresh fruits and nuts, instead of flour, butter, sugar and eggs, so that makes a big difference too. Stay tuned, I am starting a live weekly show in a few weeks, you can learn lots.

  • WOW ! OMG... Must get dehydrator...now !

  • @dr1pdr0pz No need to swear. That is a set kitchen.

  • I like the stainless steel dehydrators better than the plastic ones.

  • 10h to make cookies ? Urk

  • Love the way she says Coookieeees! Ha! I'm going to make these tomorrow!

  • PLEASE TELL ME HOW YOU KEEP YOUR VITA MIX CLEAN!!!!

Mine has a fog in it.

    thank you!

    cookies look fantastic

  • @nattyb111 I have trouble when making emulsions with oils in mine.

Half fill it with hot water. Add a few drop of soap. Secure lid. Blend on high for 30 seconds. Rinse out well. Half fill again. Add a bit of soap to a gentle cleaning brush and scrub. Then dry and wipre thoroughly to remove any oils than refrain from going away from just water. Repeat.

Wow, I sound like a manual.

If there is still fog then your container might have worn out.

Is it made out of polycarbonate or is it BPA free?

  • @TheLoserKingdom Great Idea!

  • great dress!!!

  • I'm not into the whole "raw food" thing but these look good. Too bad I don't own a dehydrator.

  • Great Recipes!

  • Isn't dehydration cooking ?

(not saying it's not, but just asking)

Can you dehydrate with your stove?

  • @LauraBeachnut Hi, I dehydrate everything on less than 105 F, so the enzymes stay alive. If your oven has a setting that low, you can use it, but most do not. Good luck. Stay tuned, I'll be doing a live weekly show stating in a couple of weeks, lots of great raw food recipes for you, many not needing a dehydrator. Blessings to you!

  • @blythemetz TYBY&GL

    Thank you

    Bless you

    &

    Good luck!

  • Thank you so much!

  • I think I found my favorite raw food chef! Thank you!!

  • Wow! you're so beautiful! I love your red dress too! And your vids rock!

  • Ok thanks. I had no idea that freezing could kill enzymes though. I'll have to look into that as I was under the impression that freezing was just about the most nutritious way of preserving food.

  • I want to make these cookies. I want an Excalibur dehydrator so bad! Does the timer turn off the heating element, or is it just a timer?

  • @markpianoman Yep, the timer turns off the machine. They are great! Let me know if you have any more questions.

  • How long do these keep in the refrigerator? Can they be frozen?

  • @waxypotatoes The cookies don't need to go in the refrigerator, they last for weeks because they are just dried fruit and nuts. I won't put them in the freezer because the freezer kills about 30% of the enzymes. There isn't a need to freeze, they last a long time, however, in my house, a batch only lasts a day because everybody eats them up;)

  • Hi Blythe! Thanks for the wonderful videos! I made the cookies but probably dried them too long...I wasn't sure about the texture and you didn't say exactly how much on the nuts...they came out too stiff, not crunchy or chewy. But I made some raw applesauce (apple+cinnamon+ dash of vitamin C to keep from turning brown in VitaMix) and ate them like potato pancakes topped w applesause...YUM!!! Then I made them with cashews only and OMG YUM!!! they wouldn't dry, were still mushy but tasted great

  • I think I'll try these. How many cups of the sprouted nuts? Two?

  • @chrissy8099 yah, 2 cups is good, you can mix with dried cranberries, raisons, pumpkin seeds, any dried fruit or germinated seed or nut. Enjoy. Let me know if you have any questions.

  • u sound like another sandra lee... no offence

  • I started going raw about 8 weeks ago. When I first start I would have said these cookies were horrible with no flavor at all. Now I can taste all the real flavors of fruits and veggies! Ok now I must stop lol I am starting to sound like one of those infomercials : P

  • These will keep you sexy? Haha that's gold

  • Amazing hand speed during the blending process.

  • I made these cookies,

They have no flavour. It tastes likecrap

  • @dillpickleboocutie You think fruits and nuts have no flavor? I think they are incredibly flavorful. Special note, the more toxic you are on the inside, the more healthy food doesn't taste good because your body is made up of whatever you usually eat.

  • @dillpickleboocutie It's important to buy organic for many reasons, and flavor is one of them. Commercial/ conventional Fruits, vegetables and nuts have been irritated, so are often devoid of flavor. If you want them sweeter, add raw honey, which is very high in nutrients, or add a spice like fresh ginger.

  • @blythemetz I had orangic, apples. And the nuts had flavour, but then after i mixed the two it wasnt flavourful so I added another apple, still no flavour, then cinnamon, no flavour. Then dates. No flavour. Thanks anyways :)

  • "this will keep you sexy" - i love that! :]

  • @ilovemyhusband1982 If your oven has a low setting below 110, You don't want to bake them higher than 110 because they will no longer be raw, otherwise just shape the cookies and put them in the fridge without dehydration, they will work fine like that. Enjoy:)

  • What about semolina and almond flour is that bad? where do you get protein from? I am currently a vegan but would like to be a raw vegan one day. Don't you eat beans, rice, etc...?

  • @IampureSol Think about it... how can you eat RAW if you're eating rice and beans? besides as a raw fooder myself I LOVE kidney beans and rice after a long day at work but it's all about balance. Being a 100% raw fooder is no piece of cake (no pun intended)

  • @eaglestriker24 Someone said they soak the rice over night then eat it so i imagined that they might do the same with beans.

  • Love this recipe, and your DRESS!

  • i come on here to look for a healthy recipe, and I find a bunch of pigs leaving nasty comments. it's really disturbing that there's such a lack of social graces these days. pathetic.

  • I really like your dress, the Kimono Style is very pretty.

  • yeah, why do I hear people never use raw honey. I always use raw honey for sweetening, is that bad for the raw food diet?

  • Kevin Gianni uses raw honey a lot for desserts. You may want to check out his channel.

  • raw is the only kind you should use

  • @CoolJuleofAces it eat it all the time, by the spoonful. i love the stuff and i feel great

  • thank you for the recipes, I love your demonstrations and personality

    cheers

  • what can be substituted if one is allergic to nuts? I BELIEVE I am, but am not 100% sure and haven't been tested yet. Can you use dried org fruits and pumpkin seeds and coconut and sunflower seeds? Looks deelicious!

  • yeah u can. it should be good and like she said if its not sweet enough add agave or yucon =)

  • @freakyguru yea sure you can add anything you want, just be sure it is raw and organic if you want the full health benefit. you should get tested to see if you are allergic, nuts are so awesome it'd be a shame to miss out on them. a lot of allergies people have are from eating lots of cooked foods, if you go on some sort of detox you may find your allergies disappear!

  • Great recipe, so simple! I've made some cookies in my dehydrator, but they were much more complex. I've got lots of apples at the moment, I'm going to try these tomorrow - along with my kale chips - YUM!

  • For the person "without the tools" - Perhaps you can dehydrate in your oven? Just set it at a really low temperature. I realize that not all ovens can do this, but you can give it a try... Good luck!

  • Can I use raw honey instead of agave nectar?

  • yes, absolutely, feel free to follow your intuition always

  • omg I can't wait to buy a dehydrator, now i just need to save up some money ^^;

Awesome vid, I'm sure those cookies were delicious!!!

  • I love your demonstrations, they are so helpful in going raw. I have a question, though--I have read that agave nectar is not really raw, that it is boiled down to become thick and sweet. Why do so many raw recipes call for it? Keep up the good work!

  • Excellent question, Buy RAW agave, there is a difference you're right. Raw agave is available at your local health food store or online. Enjoy

  • I heard somewhere, I think it was a video on The Best Day Ever forum, that raw agave is always clear - is that true? I've seen dark agave advertised as being raw, but this video made me wonder if that was really true.

  • ah thank you this is so helpful

  • they look so delicious AND they'll keep me sexy?? i'm sold!!! lol :0)

i would so try this but i don't have the tools. :0(

  • And being sexy IS important, Ladies.

  • Great recipe. Thanks for sharing. By the way, you have beautiful hair!

  • She is beautiful!

  • i would add cinnamon :P

  • Why is 10 hours too long? Just make them and forget about it, there ready the next day. Regarding my voice, I'm only sharing information that serves you, try not to be so judgmental, it makes you age. Judgment really isn't a good color for anyone.

  • Try going to walmart and buy some debby's =p - maybe with some earplugs in!

  • im sorry

  • WOW! This looks tasty...the cookies don't look bad either!

  • this looks so nice! not only because its raw, but its so easy to be able to put them in the oven and forget about them for 10 hours, instead of having to watch something closely your free! Im going to try this, but I dont even own a blender! Ima try them in the food processor instead! that should work?

  • Looks soooo yummy! The cookies look good also !

  • she looks yummy too!

  • me dont know hot to cut apple...lol

  • I love raw food but the equipment to make nice raw food is expensive

  • Hi, Thanks for your comment. You can use an ordinary blender for all of the recipes I have here, and if your oven has a low heat 105 or less, you can use that instead of the dehydrator, or you can put the cookies out in the sun if you live where it's sunny. Also, you can make the cookies and not dehydrate them, just shape them in balls and put in the fridge. There is always a way. Good luck and have fun!!

  • Was that one, or was it two cups of nuts?

  • I do about one cup of nuts for every 1 quart of water. Enjoy!

  • can you dehydrate in an oven?

  • as long at it isn't hotter than 105'F.

  • I don't have a dehydrator yet so I went ahead and made the dough and added a few cocoa beans. My autistic son LOVED it. We feed him raw foods now that his leaky gut syndrome is healed.

  • She reminds me of the lady from Weeds.

I'm going to make these yummm...

  • Nice recipe. Thanks for posting.

  • LOL. 10 hours! I guess you could set it up over night, but still that's a long time.

How long do they stay fresh?

  • Why do you have a microwave? That definately wont keep foods living and natural

  • The set is not my home. I do not have a microwave at home. Thanks for your concern.

  • Rehearsing for "Blythe Metz Wonder Woman Submission", Blythe brought these cookies. I can vouch for them and I am not macrobiotic, vegan or even vegetarian.

  • great recipe, our apple tree is bursting with apples, now i now what to turn them in..

    Living Cookies! :P

  • u r really sexy!! thats a compliment from a gay guy!!! you must be really sexy!!

  • I like how you chose your dress to match your Vitamix. A great touch!

  • Great video. I have to try that when Iam off my juice feast. Also I love all the info that you give. I can not wait to have some. Thanks

  • Thank you your recipes are great, you are helping me so much. Thank you and keep the vds coming!
