I really think this is the very best version of cold sweat. The tempo is quite perfect - not too quick. And this incredible break at 0:36! You have to love it!
This is "Cold Sweat" over the "Mother Popcorn" arrangement. The difference between the two songs is the flatted- fifth ,(the "Blue Note"). "'Can't Stand It" stays true to the original recording JB did with "Fat" Eddie Setzer on guitar in Cincinnati-1967.
He re-recorded the second track on Hell as 'Can't Stand It 76', which has the syncopated drum break. John Morgan played drums on the LP and this live version, if I'm not mistaken.
Shame I could only imagine the routine JB put on for this version of cold sweat otherwise perfect
