@punisher17011990 denke schon als ich noch aktiv war so um 2000 , brauchtest du in Deutschland ne Auslandegenehmigung vom Bundesluftfahrtamt. kosteet damals so 30 euro. aber man könnte auch sagen dass man beim speedfliying nie wirklich abhebt und deswegen den luftraum erst gar nicht betritt?. Jemad nen Plan hier wie des alles so ist?

Wenn Du gut Skifahren und Paragliden kannst, sollte es möglich sein die beiden Dinge zu kombinieren. Leider kann ich nur einigermassen Skifahren, aber nicht paragliden.

In Deutschland ist der Besitz der A-Litzen erforderlich die auch als "beschränkte Luftfahrtgenehmigung" bezeichnet wird. Mit der B-Lizens ist auch das freie Fliegen gestattet wobei dies von Land zu Land unterscheidet! Man sollte natürlich seinen Schirm einschätzen können und das entsprechende Gefühl dafür haben ;o) Grüße

It is a parachute, not a kite or paraglide. Probably an Icarus VX or FX. It is a nice version of a Para-skiing, a discipline of skydiving/parachuting

Flysurfer now makes a kite that can be changed between a kite and a paraglider. Those "parachutes" look too small to be a chute. The difference between a kite and a paraglider/parachute is that the kite faces the rider, inflated by the wind; and a paraglider is behind the rider, inflated by forced wind as the person is falling.

I have used foil kites, on 7m lines as practice for this on Haleakala. Now I am ready to try it in the snow!

DO NOT use the Taco from flysurfer for attempting to speed glide or ski glide. It is a 9m foil, but is ONLY a ground handling trainer for paragliding that doubles as a snow kite or boarding foil (and a weak one at that). ALL other flysurfer products are the shizzle.....the Taco is ONLY a ground trainer with regards to flying...

As a kiter, skydiver, base jumper and have done paragliding, I can assure you that this is a parachute. Too small? What do you mean? Some parachutes are smaller than a 7m kite, these parachutes are probably between 75-90 square feet.

Dough, Check out GIN gliders . They will have what you need.I recommend getting familiar with intense flying with a larger glider, The speed is very high to keep going with these small speed gliders. Plus it looks to be these guys are using booster rockets on there boots. I know nothing about that.
